Common sense lending and good service throughout.

Fleet have been a good lender to use. Many positives aside from just the rates but the fact that Fleet use Gateway surveyors is very helpful. Connells are used systematically across the board with other lenders but this is one lender that actually uses someone different and can provide the difference to a client. Downfall to Fleet is that sometimes underwriting can be a bit forensic in their approach but understandable given the way Fleet is funded. Naz at Fleet is always helpful when discussing cases and will be able to provide you with a solution rather than leaving you with generic criteria.

Fleet are my go to lender for portfolio landlord clients and are especially helpful when it comes to complex case requirements. Both Naz and Dave allow the flexibility for cases to be reviewed prior to submission to ensure they will meet criteria. They are on hand post submission once cases are submitted to deal with any complications that may arise.

Excellent BDM's and great service from Underwriting / Head Office. Very good system and ability to upload once for multiple applications to save time.

The full on early repayment charge goes right to the end of the mortgage product, next day starts Standard Variable Rate. So there is no way according to their rules to pay off the balance(or part of it) before product ends or shortly after without being penalised either with ERC or higher instalment for the first month
Asked the customer service to find out if anything can be done and 20 hours later still waiting for the answer aswell as the capital repayment procedure letter....

Naz in the BDM team was very helpful in getting a number of deals over the line for me. Fleet can be inflexible at time but Naz was able to get everything sorted quickly and very productively. An asset to the lender!

Had some really tricky criteria/situations - was very well looked after by our BDM's throughout to make the process as easy as possible for our clients

A brilliant lender for property investors- great policy around those who purchase properties in need of work, refurbish them and then want to let them long term. Naz and Dave are great- knowledgable BDMs who are always available to offer advice and support with complex cases.

A warning to all. Like many others on here I have sadly also fallen victim to the this awful company. A zero star review wouldn't quite do it justice.

If you want a fast, hassle free , customer focused and friendly service I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Fleets response times are drawn out and excruciatingly slow, their processes onerous and like many others on here I share the opinion that this is by design and is nothing more than a deliberate attempt to have customers abandon the mortgage process. Their requests for information are completely unreasonable that is if you can actually get their underwriters to articulate what it is they actually want to see. Despite repeated submissions of information and repeated attempts to speak to the underwriting team about what they want to see we are still no further forward this is after over 4 months of back and forth with Fleet.

Again like others I have also experienced the changing of the goal posts mid application with Fleet, as with other reviews Fleet introduced new terms mid application. They are disingenuous, lack transparency and are extremely untrustworthy. With interest rates the way they are they are hardly doing anybody any favors. The extra .2 or .3% to look elsewhere is a price worth paying to never have to deal with Fleet.

I simply cannot stress this enough. Fleet are not worth your time or effort.

So, there are no issues with my ability to pay the mortgage agreed via my business. I am also a client! Then after weeks of form filling etc computer says no. Why? because my wife if only a 5% shareholder and not 50%. Utterly, utterly ridiculous. DONT APPLY AS you will be WASTING YOUR TIME! They should not be allowed to trade!

Having recently completed a BTL mortgage with Fleet for one of my valued clients I genuinely cannot praise them enough. From initial discussions about the case through to submission and ultimately completion they have been excellent. Everything was done in a timely manner and the communication throughout the whole process was really good.

Their office based BDM Lucy Freeman is absolutely superb, one of the best I've worked with in 22 years as a broker. A real credit to Fleet with her friendly, professional and efficient manner. I would also like to mention their underwriter Sara who was excellent.

It was a pleasure working with Fleet and I look forward to progressing other cases with them in the future.

Shocking took 4.5 months to basically say they don’t lend on flat roofs! Why they couldn’t have said that from the get go! Wasted everybody’s time! Not acceptable! Shambolic and unscrupulous! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
