Certainly not friendly and a complete waste of time! Started to remove spray foam in my loft and to cut a very long story short had to have a new roof! Four teams later with one team walking off the job and water damage in the back porch, plus underestimating the size of my roof and charging me more than they should...!! They owe me money and won't pay up so please don't trust them!

My 93 yo mother wanted to cover all solar panel equipment, they said everything was covered for 15 years and I have paper work to show this, our system was not generating despite the fact we had the maximum amount of panels. A woman called Katherine came around and checked the equipment saying the invertor was working so was happy to cover everything, they did send someone over to change the fuse board to circuit breakers which qualified electritions have said would cost roughly £600, they promised that they would get it all working ha ha, and sort out money owed from the feed in tarriff lol, all false promises.
They never replied to any emails sent, and despite leaving loads of voice mails over a few weeks they refused to respond, an engineer who turned up a couple of times who was good and I think he may have got it all working said he contacted them on their mobile numbers which I don't have saying they will contact me, again nothing. So I know there are people out there that have been ripped off by lots more than my mother but the company is a joke, we are maybe £1000 out of pocket. I eventually contacted a local qualified electrition who came over and got everything up and working for £150, so if anyone has any info on this company please let me know, the people I dealt with was Jake Clark, Katherine and Millie, no doubt they may well start up again under another name but please avoid

Friendly Waste contacted my grandfather-in-law (who is elderly) to let him know that the spray foam in his attic needed to be replaced. Since then, I wish he never took the phone call! Considering the attic is located in his kitchen and my grandfather-in-law has health issues, there were no precautions in place to protect his health from the hazardous substance they were removing (no dust sheets down, no ventilation etc). The work carried out was not done correctly. They lied to us about how they retained his information and then suggested we were lying about what they said to us! The work they carried out had to be re-done as the initial work was awful. Due to all of this, a complaint was sent to them but I had no response until I rang them 4 weeks later and everyone I have spoken too in the company since have been so unprofessional, it's diabolical.
I've since spoken to the director of the company who has been the only person that has apologised and taken accountability for everything that has happened. More than anything, I feel sorry for him for having to work with some of the people he has working for him. I hope any future clients don't experience this sort of stress!

Friendly Waste: Decidedly Unfriendly Waste of Time and Money
Friendly Waste were contracted in early June to remove spray foam from our loft and to install replacement roof tiles and insulation. In our telephone conversations with their surveyor ahead of agreeing the work he promised they would take photos at every step and that he would help us pursue the company that installed the spray foam for compensation, providing us with advice and template letters. We were also assured that the roofers would work speedily and efficiently to complete the job. The roofers were fast but weeks after they had finished we discovered they had damaged a lot of the new tiles and 50 needed replacing. They also did not re-attach our solar panels properly but left these loose and prone to slipping off the roof.
We have repeatedly requested Friendly Waste to supply photos showing that the original company had removed the roof lining and applied the spray foam directly to the old roof tiles (against building regulations). They have finally admitted that they have no photos of the work, although the roofers assured us they would submit these to Friendly Waste, so we are unable to show the company failed to follow regulations. We have also repeatedly asked for their surveyor to contact us to provide the support he promised in pursuing the spray foam company. Despite being told by Friendly Waste that they would sort it, this has not yet happened.
Friendly Waste communications and administrative services were appallingly poor. Emails and voicemail messages were repeatedly left unanswered. It took five emails and a telephone call to get a receipt for our final cheque payments of £31,000. Paperwork essential to the contract and the warranty was not supplied although I was assured on several occasions that it was in the post. It finally materialised only after my repeated insistence over several weeks. The work cost us over £49,000, wiping out a huge amount of our life savings. It was a hugely stressful experience made considerably worse by the alarmingly bad standards of work and customer support we experienced with Friendly Waste. To anyone considering engaging Friendly Waste we would say think again.

The Energy Company that originally installed the solar PV’s on my roof went bust some 10 years ago, and since then my data and details has been passed and sold on from pillar to post - to 15 firms in all, each one of them having called me, saying that they are in the area, offering me a free survey of my installation and then they try and sell me extended warranty on my PV system - each one of them having ceased trading or gone bust since. This firm, Friendy Waste, issued the same old cold call and telesales story, sent an engineer round for a survey, claimed he was NOT a warranty salesman, however moments after saying that he offered me a 15 year warranty for a one-off payment of £2000. I said send me a written quote and contract and I’ll think about it. His boss, Mr Jake Clarke, sent it the following day with a covering email addressed to the wrong name, and added £500 worth of VAT to the verbal quote for good measure, making it £2500 in all. The thing is, they’ve failed to grasp that if they go bust or cease trading that’s my £2500 gone.
Simple solution is ignore these cold calls, and these scam companies who simply want your money whilst offering nothing in return.
