I just became a new Gettington customer this past Sunday, yesterday, 11/17/19, through their website. They took over a brand I really like, Sahalie. It turns out the only way to order Sahalie products as of March 2018 is through Gettington. They should be called Gotcha-tington. Their promo codes don't work as detailed on the website - for example, as a new customer, I should have received free shipping on my first order (shipping was $24.75 on $103 order of a few very light clothing items, which is almost a quarter of the purchase price!). But since I was a new customer, I thought I’d get free shipping with promo code GET275, as per their website:

Typing in the GET275 promo code at checkout resulted in an error message when I hit the “place order” button”, even though the shipping amount showed as 0 after I entered the promo code.

I tried several times to input the code, and figured something might not be working correctly since it was Sunday, so I called their customer service number.

Turns out they’re only there Mon – Fri, so on Monday, today, I called customer service to get the promo code put into effect. I got a song and dance about this code applying only if you get the Gettington credit card, and since I was paying with Visa, it wasn't valid.

That is NOT what the promo code said - no mention of having to create a credit account with Gettington, just being new to Gettington. Also, their asking for my Social Security number didn’t sound right.

I asked to speak with a supervisor, and was put on “terminal hold” with the option of getting a call-back - they don't even have enough staff to handle the complaint calls!! Of which I'm sure there are many, judging from the reviews on this and other independent websites – glad I read them to avoid additional hassles.

I decided I didn’t need the items that badly and undid my order. Sorry that Sahalie is losing the business, because their stuff is really lovely – good fabrics, fit, etc. I hope they resume doing business as themselves in the future.

Gettington, however, should be investigated by the better business bureau.

I ordered a 8" Inflatable Blue Ghost Halloween Decoration from this company and I received it on Oct 16, 2019. When it arrived, I thought dam they couldn't put the sh** in a regular box to be shipped but instead, it was in a box like you just bought it out the store. The box was all best up like it's been through hell trying to reach it's destination. SMDH! I said well let me put it with all the other decorations outside to see how things look.....well I'm searching for the da* plug to connect it, and it's not in the box at all. I called the da* company and they talking some crazy shi** about they don't provide the plug 👿👿👿 I've never in my da* life bought something w/o the plug for the wall 😱😱😡 I WILL NEVER, EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AFTER I PAY OFF THAT UGLY AS* BLUE GHOST!!!

Biggest scam rip off ever. I ordered 4 pair of shoes and 3 didn't fit so I returned them. Well they make you pay for the shipping to return them plus I paid for the shipping on the original order. So the 1 pair of shoes I kept ended up costing me 134.91 and the price of the shoes is$56.99. I will never order from them again and will be paying my balance and closing my account.

i tried to access my account online several times, only to be unable to so do. when I tried to cancel my account, I couldn't do that either and had to call. now I cannot access to even pay the account off and they have stopped sending my statements by email. how do you pay these people. amateur hour at Gettington.

They sold me garbage so I returned said garbage, not only did they not credit my account for the return but they screwed up my account so bad I can't decipher what they did...I still had a small prior balance on the account and was making 2-3 payments over the minimum amount each billing period, yet my account stayed in PAST DUE status? Calling does zero good as they will claim they can't understand you if you have a situation they can't or don't want to handle, & that would be ALL situations. If you don't speak what they speak you're effectively screwed. I got fed up wasting my time and getting no solutions so I explained one last time that they would not get a single thin red cent from me unless or until they fixed their mess, and I immediately stopped paying. At least 20-30 times a day, all hours of the day and night, these psychos are blowing up my phone, because that's legal? Obviously, that wasn't going to continue so I filed a complaint with TransUnion directly. A few days later I received confirmation that they (Gettington) had taken care of all the mistakes they made and corrected the account, except for the fact that they lied, they didn't take care of a thing because they're shady. I immediately re-filed my complaint with TransUnion, then I filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, & CFPB just to be sure. I'm exhausted just writing this, no doubt it's exhausting to read, but not as exhausting as crap "service" from them...

I'm a new customer and before a came a customer I read a lot of reviews from current or past customer and they were poor so it made me think what have I gotten myself into so far good on my ordered items haven't ordered clothes yet but I hope they remain good to keep me as a customer.

I ordered a toy from Gettington several weeks ago and havrn’ Received it yet. Two other things I ordered came relatively quickly but no word on the toy. Missed the birthday so I I’m a little disgruntled.
