What an amazing experience! I attended the beginners course on August 1st & 2nd and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The team at Go Freediving is exceptionally professional, friendly and a lot of fun. The course is incredibly well organised from start to finish. The instructors provided a safe and fun environment to learn this exciting sport. I highly recommend Go Freediving and look forward to the next course!

I couldn't recommend GoFreediving highly enough. If you're thinking about trying Freediving then these are the people to take the plunge with. A very professional highly knowledgeable and friendly team of instructors who put safety first. The company is very well organised and the chief instructor Emma Farrell is lovely and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. You will learn a lot on a Go Freediving course much of which will help you in everyday life as well as under water. Why are you still reading this contact them and Go Freediving!

I can't say enough about the courses offered and the incredibly experienced, thorough and good humoured instructors! They have opened my eyes to a world that is so gratifying, exciting and calm all at once. I also felt very safe and only pushed within my own limitations. I have done the RAID Freediver course and the RAID Advanced course as well as a Liveaboard Trip. More to come... Thank you!!!

So glad I did the course, can’t wait to use my skills when the weather gets a bit warmer! I was a bit unsure due to the price and had a look around at lots of different options....however I do not regret making my decision, I had an excellent time, felt very safe and had lots of fun! The instructors are super friendly and will give you lots of advice on how to improve your performance!

I have always been fascinated with being underwater, ever since I was a little child, so this is something that I should have done sooner!
I have done scuba and re-breather diving. When I did some research online, I looked at reviews and locations and this course came across as really well run, really well reviewed and at a great location.
Doing this course has changed the way I look at breathing underwater completely and it has also changed the way I equalise even when scuba diving.
I really liked swimming through the fuselage of the plane and being underwater has been a highlight for me.
The benefits of learning to freedive is that it helps you to be calmer in water and helps you to explain to others how to keep calm as well. The benefits of doing the course with Go Freediving is that the instructors change around so you have the benefit of experience from different instructors – and they are all great! The location is perfect with great visibility and loads to look at while you are diving.
I would recommend the course to anyone and everyone I know. I had misconceptions about learning to freedive but it has been by far the most fun I have had in the water!

I completed my Masters course earlier this year. My 3rd course with Go Freediving. So I knew what to expect. I may be biased as a Go Freediving club member but, as always, the instruction is second to non.
The instructors who have become my friends helped me achieve both my dynamic and depth targets without pressure and in absolute safety.
I have now continued my freediving journey and have become an instructor at Go Freediving introducing the new people to the world of apnea. It is amazing to see the emotions people go through, as I did as a student, when they experience the underwater world on a single breath.
I can only recommend to you to come down and experience the journey I and many others have taken with Go Freediving.

I want to get into spearfishing and I just thought this would be the safest way, because I need to learn how to be able to stay underwater long enough and go deep enough safely before I can start to think about spearfishing! There are definitely mistakes I would have made, like hyperventilating, and I would have dragged someone else into it as a buddy, and neither of us would have known any of the safety and coming up and doing proper recovery breaths and all that sort of thing, and I wouldn’t have known how to save someone if they were having a blackout.
I did a reasonable amount of research online and went down to Portland first because I have climbed down there and know there are dive clubs down there. I had a look around and talked to a few people and they just seemed very nonchalant and disinterested. So, I started researching online, found Go Freediving, looked at the Google reviews and they were all amazing, looked through the website which seemed to give a lot of information and they seemed very positive about doing it right.
This course has made me realise that I am doing a lot of things wrong and I know that I need to relax more. I think I have relaxed more today and that was from just having some time to reflect on it. I think I need to practice.
Learning to be a freediving buddy was good – getting them to breathe correctly. It was good to learn the techniques for turning people over, because that is actually difficult in the water if you don’t know what you are doing, because your automatic reaction would be to pull them over by their shoulder, but actually it’s not efficient, it’s not quick and it is not going to put them into a position where their head is out of the water.
The part of the course I liked most was this morning where things clicked a bit more with the equalising, and that I am recognising the mistakes I am making. So, as I am going down, I will tuck my chin in. It’s not necessarily fixed but at least I am recognising it.
The benefits of doing this course is that you have safety – which from what I could tell other people really didn’t have in place. Vobster has nice clear water and it’s not choppy with currents or tides which I imagine could get you tired quite quickly fighting it. The key thing is the safety. Everything is all thought out. It is pre-planned, people know what to expect which means you can get the most out of it as you possibly can.
Freediving is a dangerous sport. I would recommend this course for the safety side of things. You read through the theory and realise it can be very dangerous. This course helps you be aware and know how to progress dives correctly.

This has had been one of the best experiences in my lifetime. I have discovered something new about my body and myself and in such a fun, safe and friendly environment.
To be shown by Emma and her wonderful team that you have a far greater ability than you believe you have and to experience it so quickly and to watch others do the same is just exhilarating.
I floated in the swimming pool and when Emma said its time to come up for a breath I did so. I did a few specific recovery breaths we are taught which lasted a few seconds and was totally back to normal and Emma then told me I had held my breath for 3 minutes 13 seconds. At age 55 to do this was really pretty cool.
I have just returned from the RAID weekend at Vobster where again the instruction was excellent as was the location and equipment. Frequent dives to 10 and 12 metres to pass the course abd then I managed 14 metres on my last dive.
I will be back very soon.

I recently did my RAID Freediver course with Go Freediving, what's nice about the course is all the material to learn is online and completed before the course. Then on the course you focus on putting into practice what you learnt so you are not stuck in a training room for two days but rather taking part in hands on training, groups are small there were 4 of use to 1 instructor taking turns to dive etc. Vobster is a great location to carry out the training as you are close to good facilities and there are interesting things to dive down to such as old planes, cars, boats etc. All equipment was also provided (Wet suites, fins, mask etc)

I would highly recommend go freediving for anyone of any age or fitness, these courses are tailored to the individual.
I have done several courses and have enjoyed every single one. The course itself is very fluid and organised full stop the instructors themselves are very knowledgeable and approachable, making you feel very safe.
I have also joined Go Freediving on one of the red sea trips and it was absolutely amazing. Get a lot of diving time at some beautiful sites but the dives are tailored to what you would like to get out of it. there are also workshops and talks on a variety of subjects which a very insightful and useful to improve your diving.

I've had a fantastic time diving with Go Freediving. Everybody is friendly, helpful and positive, and I've been able to improve my diving in a fun and safe environment.
I would highly recommend both the courses and the club, and hope to see more people involved in this amazing sport in the future.

Our class with Emma Farrell, assisted by Chris Morey, was honored to be her first taught in the US! Emma is a gifted teacher and professional who clearly explains and demonstrates skills while providing clear feedback for encouragement as well as needed corrections; in addition to being an awesome person. All activities were perfectly organized with an emphasis on safety.
The class enhanced my relationship with water and more, e.g. I am now practicing Yoga and meditation; the perfect compliment to freediving. As a long time scuba diver and swimmer, it was enlightening to find a new way of pure enjoyment underwater and I thank Emma for opening that door.

Always fancied it and thought I’d give it a go. Emma was fantastic, professional, friendly and got everyone right into it. I’d definitely recommend to anyone who fancies trying it. Great value for money and left with a great deal of knowledge to better my snorkelling bottom time. Would love to continue it when life allows :)
Thanks again 👍
