I had a great experience with Jessica at GO Outdoors. I needed a wetsuit, and she went above and beyond to help me find the right size. She checked the stock thoroughly and didn’t give up until she found exactly what I needed. Jessica was also really helpful in advising me to sign up for the GO Outdoors membership, which saved me money with the discount. Excellent customer service — friendly, patient, and very helpful

Five stars for the staff and customer service at Tamworth Store. And telephone. (Do not use customer service online as waiting ages for replies, originally ordered online) We didn't have a very good start, we paid for next day delivery, it never came. The next day sorry we missed you, we will deliver next day. This was not going to happen as said awaiting further instructions. Drove straight to Tamworth on the day of our travels to collect tent. Then on the day for assembly of tent you could clearly seen it had been USED. So we took back to Tamworth they were extremely sorry and the options were refund, exchange or a different tent. So we updated to a Vango 500, we all did a check and all looked good...so far. Thank you Tamworth.

Went in needing some walking boots. Matt helped me, had lots of advice and knowledge and was patient and friendly while I spent a long time deciding. Great customer service!

We had a long list of items to get for my daughter’s dofe expidition. We were fortunate enough to be assisted by a member of staff called Jess. She started off by helping my daughter select the right walking boots and then proceeded to assist us and advise us with everything else that we needed for the trip. she was so knowledgeable about everything and absolutely so helpful. We’ve managed to get everything we needed in one shopping trip.I think that was some of the best customer service we have ever experienced whilst shopping.

Excellent service and good advice from Matthew

Outdoor 1 was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The quality was poor from the start and it felt like a complete rip off for the money paid. The road staff were rude, unhelpful, and came across like they didn’t care about customers at all. Overall, the service and experience were massively disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend it based on what we dealt with.

Really great shopping experience today in the Tamworth store. We were looked after by Matt who was really attentive and knowledgeable. We were looking for two rucksacks, one for DofE and another daysack for hiking. Matt was really knowledgeable about the different rucksacks and was able to show us the differences and how they should fit. He helped us to try on several until we found 'the one'. It was refreshing to be served by someone who was genuinely interested in what they were selling and in us as the customer. Matt was helpful but not pushy when we said we would sleep on a decision when we were torn between two. Great work Matt, really grateful for the your help today.

All other staff were also friendly and polite.

I purchased a pair of Brasher boots in Jan 26 which had a faulty/damaged rubber protective strip. Staff member Joe G listened to my account without being dismissive and outlined the options available. He agreed that he would be able to deal with the matter there and then. He subsequently carried out a check and discovered that another pair was available in stock, and as a result replaced my faulty pair.
Joe is a credit to the company. He was knowledgeable and polite, and asked relevant questions pertaining to my use of the product .

I wish all retail staff were as professional and approachable as this gentleman. Please pass on my thanks .
