Micheal is a very knowledgeable historian, giving much insight as we toured the sites. He offered tips for our stay in Edinburgh. We also made a quick stop at a market so we could pick up a few essentials.

We visited Sterling Castle, saw the Highland Cows, Loch Lohman, Scottish Highlands, Ben Loman, Loch Ness. This was two different days.

I’d been looking forward to visiting the Scottish Highlands and Speyside distilleries for years. Our guide Mike delivered an experience far beyond expectations. Best trip ever and highly recommended.

Mike was very professional. He had answers for all our questions and solutions to the unexpected. We visited more Islay Distilleries than were on our agenda and our expectations were exceeded in almost every area. Only shortcoming was I believe Mike could have prepared us beforehand of our need for advanced reservations at restaurants for evening meals. We, however, did not go hungry.

They were very accomodating when it came to what we wanted to see. Very enlighting tour.

Mike took our family on a day tour of the Highlands. He was extremely knowledgeable about the sites and history, and also entertaining. It was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend a tour with Go Scotland Tours.

The brief from my husband was to find a serious distillery tour without the fluff of sightseeing or shopping stops, only tasting high end single malt. Go Scotland were brilliant and put together the perfect day trip for just my husband and his mate. The guys were thrilled with the distilleries, came back with smiles on their faces and loved their day.

Mike was excellent at logistics! We had a lot packed in to our trip and some special requests and he was able to get us where and when we needed to be and to catch ferries etc. The van he used was a Mercedes, very nice for the four of us plus him. I referred my sister's family to use Mike for their trip this May. The only reason I did not go 5 stars is I believe all tours have room for improvement. I use tour guides often all over the world and Mike was in my top 3 favorites and would definitely use him again! Dates below are approximate.

Mike made our experience great he and the driver were excellent. We only had one day to tour so we took a 12 hour highlands tour, it was fabulous. We had a wonderful 4 day whisky and Highlands tour with Allison Motion as our guide. Because of the Queen’s funeral in the middle of our trip, adjustments had to be made and Allison was responsive to our interests, informative and innovative. We felt like we really experienced Scotland in a short time. We tasted a lot of good whisky from a variety of interesting distilleries and saw beautiful and historical sights. The accommodation were comfortable and the Scottish people so hospitable. We highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I just did a private tour with Mike to Saint Andrews and it was truly wonderful! He was very knowledgeable of Scotland. Gave us so many details and stories about each area from the moment we left Edinburgh as we passed through many areas to get Saint Andrew’s and back. We had a wonderful time and we highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back and see more places with Mike one day!

I booked my tour a week ago and was double charged. Since then I have emailed, called, left messages and no one has responded to the fact that I have paid twice for one tour booking.

I recommend people avoid this company which does not communicate effectively, and I will continue to see how long it takes to get my money back.

The tour has been excellent and had a wonderful time with Timberbush Tours. The guide from Timberbush Tour, Neil, has been excellent and knowledgeable.

However, the difference between the award of 4 stars, rather than 5 stars is due to the hotel arranged at Skye, which is understood to be beyond the control of the operator.

As a result of challenging situation with hotel accommodation for the weekend of 12.09.20 as observed off the ground, it was unfortunate the hotel has been downgraded to a B&B single room e.g. Small Room with 1 Bed for 1 Person with ensuite Bathroom at the Springfield Guest House during the 2 nights at Skye, rather than the Portree Hotel or equivalent, where some members of the group has been booked in.

We had a terrific time-enjoyed the scenery- guide was great and drove a very torturous route well - stopped for photos and knew where the best places were so we missed nothing

Amazing tour!
We had awesome driver/guide Andy, we was funny,told us many stories and useful informations. Which made our trip much better.
And of course Scotland highlands are breathtaking .
