We booked last minute and got a hefty discount; we paid circa 17,000 USD rent for 10 days for a fully furnished premium condo directly on the ocean on Cayman. We reasonably believed that fully furnished would include drapes or blinds in all rooms. They did not specify either way. There were no drapes or blinds on large parts of the windows in the master, the light from the street lamps kept us awake, they confirmed in writing that local laws oblige them to cover all windows in bedrooms , they offered to cover the windows with gaffer tape and brown paper! It’s not a flophouse , it’s a 4 M USD condo on the beach, clueless doesn’t begin to describe their attitude. There were no drapes or blinds in any part of the large living area, we were on the 1st floor; when it was dark everyone outside could see everything we were doing inside the condo. Also , with no drapes / blinds anywhere in the living area the space was unusable for large parts of every afternoon as the sun beamed in.
The aircon was locked at 78, too cold sometimes and way too hot in the afternoon . They refused to unlock the aircon. They do not accept that fully furnished reasonably includes drapes and blinds . This outfit also advertise as Cayman Villas. They are a tricky bunch of grifters.
