I had the pleasure of working with Kim at Great British Trip in 2018, when we toured the UK and Ireland for almost a month. Everything went smoothly, with excellent accommodations in wonderful locations. So, when we considered exploring more of England and Scotland for another month, it was natural to contact Kim again. We have no regrets; she put together a fantastic itinerary, booking all our accommodation, car hire, trains, ferries, and tickets for the theatre and other activities.
For example, there was an issue with our car hire in Edinburgh—not the fault of GBT. We called Kim, who was on holiday in the Peak District at the time. Despite being away, she took the call and arranged for Violeta from the Edinburgh office to come to the Car Rental Office and resolve the issue so we could get back on the road.
The level of service from Kim has always been excellent. She was prompt and helpful whenever we had questions during the trip planning process, providing us with confidence and peace of mind even after payment was made. I would not hesitate to recommend Great British Trips to anyone considering a visit to the UK, and will definitely use them again if I return for another trip.

We want to thank Kim and her team at Great British Trips for helping us have an exceptional journey which included stops in Wales, Scotland, and England. From Aberystwyth to Liverpool to Edinburgh to York, Oxford and London, each stay and visit was memorable. Kim was so immediately responsive when we needed to call or message a couple times. It's hard to express how comforting that is when you and your family are traveling across the pond for the very first time and your travel advisor is the only person you know.

We primarily worked with Kim who did a great job understanding our preferences. The hotels were varied and spot-on for our tastes. Everything that she arranged went extremely smoothly and her suggestions were excellent. For example, we probably wouldn't have gone to the royal yacht Britannia, but it was a highlight.

We first traveled with Great British Trips (GBT) in 2012 and had a terrific experience. In 2023, we had a last-minute opportunity to spend 10 days in the UK but didn't have the bandwidth to plan anything. I reached out to GBT and was delighted to find they were still in business. Based upon their knowledge of us from our prior trip and with minimal input from me, they put together a great itinerary that appealed to our travel sensibilities (love of the outdoors and history; willingness to drive distances; appreciation for hotels with modern conveniences but old-world charm; etc.). There was one minor hiccup with a hotel reservation and GBT was immediately accessible by phone and took care of it on the spot. They also successfully negotiated a reduction in extra car fees when we missed our return window. I would not hesitate to recommend Great British Trips to anyone and hope to have the chance to plan another UK adventure in the future with them!

Another Lovely Trip!
I'm not kidding. I first contacted Kim at GBT back in 2015. She curated the most amazing self drive trip thru Ireland, a ferry to Holyhead, self drive thru Wales and then a train to London. She really listened to the kind of accommodation we desired and the sights we wanted to see based on our budget. We still talk about that trip!

Fast forward to 2023. We just got back from our second trip with GBT. Kim came through for us again based on our budget and accommodation wish list. A self drive through Scotland: Edinburgh, Inverness, Loch Ness, Oban, Mull, Loch Lomond and Stirling. It was all gorgeous scenery, walks in nature, comfortable accommodation and castles and ruins...OH MY! When there was a bit of a hiccup with a reservation (hotels fault not GBT) I knew the GBT staff was just a phone call away.

And here's the thing. If you don't like what you see in the first draft of the itinerary they offer, they will work with you to make it just right (your budget allowing).

Kim from Great British Trips put our itinerary together about 6 months ago. We’re from Australia and Kim worked out all the must do’s, she organised our car hire and great accommodation. We had a wonderful three weeks touring around Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Yorkshire. We can’t praise her high enough for all her efforts and research she has put into our trip. It’s made it one of our best travel experiences and we will take home some wonderful photos and memories to share with our family. Thank you again Kim.

My wife and I are retired and live in Melbourne. I contacted Great British Trips and outlined what we wanted in England. We knew very little other than where London was. We said we enjoyed walking, we needed 3 or 4 star accommodation, we preferred to stay 4 or 5 nights in the same accommodation and do day trips and we wanted a hire car and finally, we wanted to see the Cotswolds and Cornwall. Kim came back with an itinerary that met all our requirements. She quickly responded to all my emails, answering my questions and this gave us confidence. Now we are home I can say the trip was excellent in every respect. I strongly recommend Great British Trips for their organisation, efficiency and the personal attention they gave us. Hello! I live in The United States of America. I always wanted to visit UK. I found their Great British Trips website via Google search. The website stands out because it offers a detailed description of many incredible sights of interest. I used their website to figure out what I wanted to see. Kim Hardiker immediately responded to me seeing me querying their system. After returning home, I attest that the trip was put together very well. Though I exactly knew the places I wanted to visit, Kim’s help could not have been replaced. She designed the trip to make all the transitions from place to place smoothly. She was quick to answer the phone when I called to double check on things. During all the transfers we had we had extremely polite and helpful drivers. Overall, our experience was very very good and I would ask Kim to help again to design a trip to Scotland or Ireland in the future. To be completely honest I only have one comment on hotels that were booked, and would ask to try to avoid it if possible booking handicap assist rooms if not needed (obviously we didn’t need that), and also check to make sure the rooms are fully functional, for example one of our rooms had a few things broken in the bathroom which made our stay slightly uncomfortable. I understand that it might be hard to guarantee but perhaps it’s possible to stipulate it prior to booking to avoid it.
We saw so many beautiful places and had such a great experience for a lifetime! Thanks, Kim!

If you’re planning a trip to UK, Great British Trips will serve you well. The details of my vacation were delivered just as I asked, and Kim was there to immediately jump in to solve the one little glitch I had.

I booked this trip in February 2020. After 2 years of waiting for borders to open up again the trip was able to happen on June 5, 2022. Kim kept me informed of updates. The three day London Pass was just what we needed as well as the Oyster Card for our transportation. Our hotel in London included a nice breakfast and when we needed rides to and from the airport or rail station they were always there and on time. York was a real treat and the Principal York was lovely and next to train station. Our tours to Bronte Country and Howard Castle were so worth every minute. Thank you Great British Trips. We used GBT for our first overseas trip to England and Scotland in 2017 and loved the trip. We returned to them for a fortnight to Scotland that was cancelled during lockdown in April of 2020. Kim & the GBT team worked with several itineraries that had to be scrapped during fluctuating travel restrictions; we finally were able to use our credits and take the trip May 2022. We traveled on our own without a group, letting GBT arrange our car and hotels (and some attractions). As usual, it was hassle-free from the booking end: Several hotels questioned our arrangements, but one call to Kim (even weekends and after-hours) would clear things up. Highly recommended!

My travel partner and I planned this trip to Northern Ireland in 2019 before the pandemic and booked it just before the global shut down! The pandemic was a very difficult time for all of us, but throughout I kept in touch with our travel advisor Kim Hardiker and eventually were told we would receive full credit if we travelled by Spring 2022. So we did and all the reservations went smoothly, no glitches, we sailed through from the ferry ride from Glasgow to Belfast to the plane ride back to Glasgow. The connection GBT has with these providers is very solid. We also enjoyed the cheerful people of Northern Ireland who helped us out with directions innumerable times.I am confident that GBT can out together a tour for you!

Kim and Great British Trips works close with their clients to create a personal customized experience. We went on private tours to the best places. Anytime we hit a snag along the way, Kim was a phone call away from guiding us through it. She also assisted us with covid testing scheduling, which wasn’t in her job description. She just helped out. We got a lot of bang for our buck!

Run from this travel agency: liars and thieves: they do not meet the refund commitments (letter of 27 February) that they promise their clients and their own terms “CORONAVIRUS POR GREAT BRITISH TRIPS” although, like all English companies, British travel has received government compensation (furlough scheme)covering the vast majority of salaries. Great British Trips is to be registered on the blacklist of tour operators.

We live in Australia and always use them when we travel to the UK. We rely on them for their Itineraries, travel suggestions and Hotel choices, which have been excellent with each trip we have done. They are reliable and very efficient as well. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect, the hotel, the transportation arrangement, the ticket/voucher for the attractions, the information of the restaurants. We had an enjoyable family holiday without worry, since everything is well taken care.
