Avoid at all costs if you want a quick transaction!!

I have been on the unfortunate receiving end (our buyers conveyancer) of Hayward Moon and their total lack of:

Strategic Planning - ordering local searches two months into a transaction, with an expected turn around from the local authority of two-three weeks, and this is before any review/ subsequent enquiries are undertaken - one example of many i could list. Does this sound like a quick transaction, best practice move? I think not!

Organisation / Efficiency - asking the same questions in different formats rather than extracting information provided within initial data collection forms. Their pre prepared forms only duplicate work, causing time delays, putting the onus on others (opposing solicitor/seller) to do work they have been paid to do.

Time blindness - Total lack of regard to the sellers agreed sale based on a speedy transaction. Timeline milestones not met - always overrunning with weak excuses for delays. Their currently excuse (poor planning) for completion date delay (potentially two weeks or so) is waiting for indemnity insurance policy? Really ? Is that being carved onto a stone tablet and delivered by fred flintstone? Absolutely diabolical.

I am absolutely staggered to see so many good reviews - I would never recommend them to anyone. If any future buyer was to inform me they were instructing Hayward Moon, I would immediately pull out.

I give them one star as my agent thinks they are at the very least responsive - I'm delighted they answer the phone/emails, if only they could focus some of this energy on completing the sale.

We have just completed the sale of my later mothers house with the legal side handled expertly by Jodie and Charlotte at Hayward Moon. They were as always a pleasure to deal with - this is the fourth time we have used them for our conveyancing and I could not recommend their service more highly. We were kept informed at all times and it was nice to finally meet both of the ladies face to face.

Liza, Samantha, Olivia and anyone else in the team were brilliant with selling my late mums property. The whole process was simple and straightforward- any questions were dealt with very quickly. Communication within the team and to myself and 2 other executors was very professional and sympathetic as it was a probate sale. Very highly recommended and would definitely use again.

We were recommended to Hayward Moon for our conveyancing by our estate agent Liz Westley, from Tennens, with instructions to get in touch with Emma Fraser who would make sure everything would be done speedily and efficiently. Although we never met her in person, she kept us up-to-date. The reason it took longer than expected was that Emma was drip fed questions from the buyers’ solicitor.. this included four weeks dealing with the land registry, which was not her fault. We would definitely recommend and use her again.

Fantastic and extremely responsive service. Hayward Moon dealt with my conveyancing extremely quickly. The whole process took around 8 weeks from initial engagement to completion..... fantastic.

Selling my house that seemed to take for ever and thanks to Samantha and Liza for making it a good experience, only downside was the post!!! Paperwork that we should have got never arrived in time ( thanks Royal Mail!)but it all came good in the end , thanks to a great team , I never cease to wonder at how houses are sold !!!! Just wanted to highlight the fantastic service I have received from Hayward Moon and more importantly Kaylee Welton, she dealt with the sale and purchase of our house, the purchase was a long and frustrating process, she picked up on points that previous owners hadn't and deal with all matters with professionalism and a friendly personal nature. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending and if you do ask for Kaylee!
