Vehicle ready on time - very clean

We had a great experience with Hertz. The pick up and drop off was super easy! The vehicle we chose was very new and clean. Communication regarding the rental beforehand via email was appreciated.
We were very happy with our experience!

They auto charge for gas, even when full, then put the onus on you to dispute it

The location is fast and convenient. The first customer service individual, Melissa, was great. The second time I rented, I did not feel as welcomed :(

I reserved a mid-sized Nissan Path finder. When I arrived, I was told they did not have my level of vehicle available and had been giving them that arrive without a reservation because those people did not want the minivan. So, to make them happy Hertz gave them my vehicle instead. They tried to push me to take the minivan and I refused. I had to wait over 1 hour for them to clean another vehicle to provide what I reserved which made me late to my scheduled appointment. I went down to the National counter to see if they have anything I could reserve while waiting for Hertz to find something and the manager from Hertz leaned over the counter and yelled down to me the following remarks " so you're going to reserve through them now?" So unprofessional.

I was charged way more than my reservation. I made an online reservation and was expecting to pay the amount on the reservation. When I went to pick it up there were many additional charges. Why can't they show these charges while making an online reservation

Professional

I had to wait an hour for a rental car screwed up all the other plans we had and then was not even taken care of by customer service when I complained. Sucks that they weren’t very good being that them being an hour late on us getting the vehicle for whatever reason screwed up the plans that we had getting into the next city with different orders and stuff that we had going on.
