AWFUL EXPERIENCE in Providence
DO NOT rent a car from Hertz especially the Providence, Silver Spring Street location in the US. We booked and paid online, but when we arrived we were told the car wasn't even there. The manager John made us wait 45 minutes while he collected one, then claimed we hadn't paid despite us showing multiple proofs of payment. It took my partner over 3 hours on the phone with Hertz before the issue was finally resolved. To make matters worse, the car was only half charged after we asked the manager to ensure it was fully charged this delayed our journey even further. The customer service was unhelpful and disorganised from start to finish, and we've now been told we'll have to wait 28 days for our deposit to be returned. This was by far the worst car rental experience we've ever had. Save yourself the time and money and rent elsewhere.
