Great staff , help me trough all process to get my HGV class2 very good company, absolutely brilliant customer service support

Have just passed my HGV class 2 through HGVT, very professional all the way through, made each stage of the process easy to understand.
Would highly recommend using them.

After getting on the course everything was so quick and easy.
Charlotte was very helpful and easy to talk to, however when I spoke to Jorge he did come across rude ,could of been stressed about other things but wasnt as helpful as Charlotte.
From start to finish less than 6 weeks which i thought was amazing.
The practical training was carried out by Meg solutions really good instructors [thanks Garry and Dan]
One not so good thing was the app could of been a bit better with the theory test it would let you know where you went wrong however with the cpc test it did not which I thought was not great.
However passed everything first time so a massive thank you especially Charlotte.

I did my HGV practical training through HGVT. I'd already done the theory with another provider so just had to do the practical driving training and test.
They used a company called WTTS (Western Transport Training Services) for the training in the Bristol area. They were absolutely brilliant. I got 5 or 6 days one-on-one tuition with Adie who, I have to say, is an excellent driver and excellent teacher. Kate is also very nice. Great team. I really recommend them if you are looking to pass your C, C+E or C1E license.

A wonderful, helpful company who communicated well and responded in a very timely manner. Caleb and the team was very nice and helped from the beginning and booked my medical, theory and practical quickly at a time that suited my busy schedule. I would 100% recommend (and already have!)

Now then, rolling back to January 2023 is when I initially found HGVT. I had enquired about the Cat C+E Class 1 licence as this is what I wanted to do.

I parted with my hard-earned cash and decided to get on the road to obtain my C+E Class 1 licence, in hopes I would land a job via MANPOWER upon passing. Over the next few months was a lengthy process. I actually didn't manage to step into a truck until about 5 months after initial contact. Now, I understand there was multiple things I needed to do beforehand in order to drive, but the whole process just seemed longer than it should've been. I had actually failed my CPC Case Study test. I reported this back to HGVT and they wanted £100 for a retake. At this point in time, I knew something wasn't right. "£100 for a retest, surely not?" This point forward I went onto the official .GOV website and managed to rebook my CPC Case Study test for £23.

Fast forward to late June 2023, this is when my driving lessons were booked for. Now, the training schools are a completely different company and have no affiliation with HGVT whatsoever. Luckily, my training school was decent and I had no issues with them.

On the first driving lesson I was greeted with a CAT C Class 2 Rigid Vehicle. I stated to the training school that I had paid for C+E Class 1 driving lessons. My instructor and I was obviously confused that I had been given the "wrong vehicle". Now, the training school had contacted their head office to confirm whether I had booked C+E Class 1 lessons or Class 2 lessons. They had confirmed that Class 2 had been booked, despite me requesting for C+E Class 1 with HGVT. To my annoyance, I had just accepted to carry on with the Class 2 Lessons for the next 5 Days.

At the end of the first driving lesson day, I had contacted HGVT stating that I wanted to do the C+E Class 1. I was then told I will have to pay an additional £1300 ontop of the £2448 that I had originally paid. In my head, I was thinking "I'm not paying that".

Now, the actual driving lessons were perfectly fine. Bear in mind, HGVT have no affiliation with them. I was just lucky that there were a reputable training school. After 4 driving lessons, my test day arrives. Thankfully, I passed first time because I know that if I didn't, HGVT would've conned me out of more money.

After a few days after passing, I had contacted a representative from HGVT about their partnership with MANPOWER. I was given a number to call. I called this number and they simply asked for my location, only to tell me that "there are no jobs in the area".

In summary, I would steer clear of this company unless you want to be overcharged.

From the start HGVT where beyond helpful and encouraging every step of the way.
I really appreciate all the advice and helpful tips to get me through my theory and hazard perception test.

Personally I'd like to Thank the HGVT team to all who helped me complete my Class 1 training. I genuinely mean this from the bottom of my Heart I'm really thankful to God I came across this company. Not once did I ever feel I'm left without help. Everything I mean everything was so well detailed and organised that you couldn't ask for more better training then that. I'm upset that I didn't come across them before but I'm glad I did. Thanks to Mariam for helping me at the early stages then James for keeping me up to date with the process and the HGVT customer service team. Honestly if you ever consider obtaining further upgrades to your licence I strongly advise HGVT. Guys your above and beyond Thank you ever soo much for making this journey of mine with you guys very smooth and swift. They genuinely help you to pass and help you with a super career for the future. I can't fault this company in any way. Every step of the way I was informed of everything and never not once did I feel worried about anything. God bless you HGVT team.

HGVT did exactly what they said they would and helped me and guided me from start to finish from my first medical and the forms needed all the way to driver training and I’m very happy with the overall service they provided me.

However what seems to be the main issue isn’t the communication between HGVT and myself but the communication between HGVT and the driver training provider. Dates and times being wrong or not communicated at all meant I only got a half day of driver training one of the days and for my actual test it was my driver training provider who told me where my test was located and what date and time it was.

This isn’t the end of the world and I am happy with the overall experience but I do believe just a few emails to the driver training provider with just these few but vital bits of information would make future customers experiences a 5 star experience as everything else was great.

I would recommend HGVT as without them I would’ve been lost especially at the beginning with what forms to fill and getting everything booked and sorted. They really helped me a lot

This company previously tried to scam me for driving test fees and refused to refund me until I threatened to take them to court to reclaim fees. My lessons were delayed for over 6 months with no contact or details of when lessons were expected.

This company breaches data protection laws and has repeatedly leaked confidential email transcripts, employee details, and company contracts to third party individuals who should not have access to this data.

This company is NOT a driving school - they overcharge you and refer you to other driving schools.

The "support" they promise from MANPOWER after passing the test is NON EXISTENT.

Stay away from this company. They will overcharge you.

Very helpful from start to finnish but wasn't I pressed after paying over 3k not to have something in place incase I failed my practical and also had to book my test but great customer service

I would’ve give them a zero star if it available.
First this isn't a driving school, this is a Business to Client also they don't have own schools, and the schools I go to offer the lessons for half the price.

This company sell you the course very well and they term and condition looks okay but the actual training is a total waste as they write your hours absolutely food but when Iit comes to do the training, you will find yourself train for 1 hours instead of 4 hours as well as they will get another candidate to train with you and they said this is good so you’ll learn from his mistakes.
This is just fraud to gain more money, which is leading to falling in your practical test as I did because I didn’t receive my full time 32hours training which they said.
On my full 2days training I did my reverse for 1 hour and the other candidate received the rest of my days because he not trained well so I lost my 2 full practice days for the other guy.
The job support they claim to give you via MANPOWER is non-existent and I was ghosted repeatedly by MANPOWER. HGVT will claim MANPOWER isn't them so it's not their fault.

Stay far far away from this company.
Go to a local reputable school. Not a middleman who charges you double and pockets the differences.
I just need to update my review as the company contact me to remove my review conditional to do retest and 4 hours training or £450 refund but I didn’t accept both offer because I paid £4000 for fraud company they are writing their term and condition so well that you can’t take them court.
So be very careful do not go for them or west your time as I said before they are third part company and if you have any issues with your course they will refer everything to the term and condition.
I asked them to partly refund £1000 as the main training centre they do the same course for £2900 and they took this extra money as a commissions but they refused and I informed them that I will leave my review everywhere so they got what they should get and warning people to avoid this middleman company.

Happy to recommend HGVT to anyone looking to get hgv licence. Passed my class 1 test with 1 minor last month. Over all it took me 3 months from start to finish. And today I have been offered a contract to work for a recycling company. Special thanks to Jorge and Steve for getting me through the training.

HGVT has made the whole process much much easier. I didn't have to worry about one thing. Very kind and professional staff is always there to help you. They really make sure thta you are looked after. On top of that their quote was around £400-£500 CHEAPER than anyone else I have tried. Thanks to their professionalism and training that I have received I managed to pass all of my tests at 1st attempt. Would most definitely choose them again.

What an excellent experience I have had with HGVT I have always wanted to get into the lorry driving game and if you do too HGVT is the company you need. Everything is booked for you, they are in constant communication with you and tell you all you need to know. Excellent service. Would highly recommend to anyone. Received great support and kept faith in me after re test. Communication has been fantastic and James made effort to accommodate training at short notice. They now have pleasure in having another HGV driver with a pass

Passed my test over a month ago, HGVT informed i would be working after passing my test.
However Manpower seem to be slow in finding me a job, passed first time with only 1 minor, the company they set my lessons up with where excellent (Sierens. Biss)
I now in owe for the course and have no income to service the borrowings.
if i was to do this again i would make sure i have a job to goto.
I feel these were empty promises .
