Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend them.

We were given a quoted price for carpeting our buy-to-let property, including new underlay, and paid in full. We also made arrangements by leaving the keys with the shop as we were not planning to be at the property.

When the fitters arrived, one of them became very angry because there were two beds, a sofa, and an empty cupboard still in the property, and then demanded extra money which we paid . When we later checked the paperwork, we discovered that no one had even asked us in the shop whether there was furniture present. Instead, they had simply marked the checklist themselves as if there was no furniture. We realised this was how they get the extra money from people. Wait for their fitters to get there . Stir up a fuss and you have no choice but to pay.

More concerning, my husband happened to stop by the property and found that they were laying the new carpet over the old underlay, despite us having paid for brand new underlay. The new underlay was still sitting in their van. When questioned, they gave excuses like ‘oh your old one is nice and bouncy so no need to change’!!!, they were completely dismissive of my husbands request to put the new underlay first so I had to personally insist that they use the new underlay we had already paid for and this message I had to deliver to them quite harshly as they would just not listen.

This felt extremely dishonest and left us feeling as though they were trying to take advantage of us. God knows how many people using them have paid for an underlay and not got one. Lastly the finishing of the carpet was poor. There were bubbles in the carpet but Honeslty I just didn’t want to go back in the shop ever again !

There are so lovely when they take the money off you and once they have it they look for ways to charge you more and look for ways to cut corners at the same time !!! Please don’t waste your money in their shop !

The service from the beginning to the end was excellent. The staff were very efficient and dedicated to their job, very polite and very helpful.

The staff in the warehouse are very helpful and friendly. Very reasonably priced and the fitters were very polite and considerate.The finish result was excellent and will definitely use himalayan again.

The carpet selection was very easy to choose. They had a good selection of carpets. Everything went smoothly from when they arrived to do the measurement's to when the fitters arrived. Very professional and flexible. Would definitely recommend the company.

The staff were attentive and helpful at the store when we made our carpet selection. The measurements were taken a week prior to the fitting as promised and the fitters arrived on the day and fitted the carpets nicely. They even fixed a squeaky step I had. Thank you!

Carpet selection was easy and straightforward.

Person came to take measurements on time and date given.

Carpet fitters came and fitted the carpet nicely. Didn’t leave any mess behind.

Only thing I would say is that I had to call to find out the time they would come. If you select afternoon- they will come anytime which I feel can be a bit of a waste of your day as there is no set time. Our fitters were here at 4pm.

Nevertheless, they did a great job so we are very satisified.

We have been getting carpets from Himalaya Carpets for over 40 years so it must have been soon after they opened. They have a superb selection of carpets from economical to luxury. Most recently they told me how long the carpet I was buying would take to order, sent a surveyor to confirm how much to order and arranged for fitting at the same time as ordering the carpet. Their fitters are quick and very accurate, leaving a lovely result. Highly recommend.

They came to my house few months ago once and last month again, first time the filter came few hours later than scheduled, but second time they came on time. over all good prices and value for money, helpful staff and happy about it.

I really liked the carpet which had a great style. The name himalaya i remembered from sunrise radio long time ago. I had a great experience all the way through. Only given 4 stars as a refund was due to me which took more then 2 weeks to organise. I had to speak to many different people, and it inconvenienced me a bit. But i did finally recieve the refund which is great.
I think the staff need to take more responsibility and be able to transfer to accounts or handle the circumstance themselves, rather then say, someone else dealt with it, so you can only speak to same person again to sort out.

Good service, did the job and a clean job.
