It was my first time using HiQ Tyres & Autocare Birkenhead, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the customer service. The company was clean and efficient and did an excellent job on my car.

Used HiQ a couple of times now, they are very accommodating fitting me in with short notice and pricing is much better than other garages I have been to. Would definitely use again!

Excellent branch. Had 3 cars in here now and each time they have kept me updated and explained anything needed in detail. Robin is brilliant.

Took my car in for rear tyres after having the fronts changed 12 months ago. The garage staff are very friendly and the place is clean and well organised.
Pricing was excellent and the job was carried out while I waited, I would recommend this garage to friends and family.

Booked in for a full service. Robyn was lovely, polite and bubbly and phoned a couple of times with updates. The service was completed on time and the place itself is spotlessly clean. A few recommendations were clearly explained and I have already booked to have one done. Can’t fault anything .

Booked and visited for new tyres. Robyn was very professional and friendly. Compliments to her for keeping the place and guys running ship shape.
I had originally booked for Saturday but she phoned to inform me the tyres wouldn't arrive so had to rebook. I'll have no problem recommending this garage to anyone.

Cannot rate HiQ tyres & Autocare enough. It's very easy to book appointments online and by phone. The staff are really polite. My new tyres were fitted with no fuss and reasonably priced. What more can you ask for thanks! Will definitely be recommending you to all my friends,

I’ve used this garage now since it opened, several MOT’s, Service, and other work.
I cannot fault it at all.
All of the staff are absolutely lovely and always very polite.
I feel it’s extremely reasonable cost wise.
Personally won’t go anywhere else right now.

Really disappointed with my recent experience at HIQ Birkenhead

I took my Audi Q7 in for a service and air con regas, expecting a straightforward job but I ended up leaving with more problems than I started with.

Firstly, the air con still didn’t work properly after the regas. Thinking it was a heater issue, I took it to another garage that specialises in Audis. Turns out, it wasn’t the heater at all, the air con had been underfilled during the regas at HIQ. Simple issue that should’ve been done right the first time.

While they were looking into that, the other garage also found an oil leak. I initially thought this was the same leak HIQ had mentioned during their service, but it turns out it was actually caused by HIQ. The sump plug had been fitted incorrectly, with the wrong washer used, leading to the leak. On top of that, the sump itself was dented, something HIQ didn’t flag during their full health check. I’m left wondering, did they miss it, or did they cause the damage when fitting the plug?

I went back to HIQ, expecting them to take responsibility, but they refused to cover the £280 repair bill because I didn’t bring the car back to them first. I wasn’t aware of that process, nor did I know the issue was caused by them. I was just trying to stop my car from leaking oil, thinking they had found a problem, not created one. I even asked them to fix the leak, but they told me to jet wash the engine and bring it back before they’d do anything. 🤷‍♂️

To be fair, Robyn at HIQ has been great to deal with, really friendly and helpful throughout. It felt like she was just relaying messages and didn’t have much say in the decisions being made, so I wouldn’t blame her for how this was handled.

The frustrating part? I didn’t even ask HIQ to replace the dented sump, just to cover the cost of fixing the issues they caused. Instead, I’m now £280 out of pocket and left with a damaged sump. And for the sake of £280, they’ve lost a regular customer.

Really disappointed with how this was handled, and honestly, I don’t see someone with Robyn’s excellent attitude sticking around long in a place that treats customers this way.

Wouldn’t recommend.

Easy booking online, once there quick and at a good price, Mike the fitter at Birkenhead was very helpful as all the other staff
