Sales assistant I dealt with was very polite and friendly.
Couldn’t be more helpful.

As soon as I entered the store I received excellent service from Rebecca who directed me to the location for what I needed and served me at the checkout. All in all I was extremely happy with the service I received.

The customer service I received on collecting my order was second to none. The lady at the desk was so friendly and had a welcoming smile. The other lady and gentleman that helped get the items into the car were so helpful I couldn’t have managed without them. They helped me empty the box and pack all the items into my car and van. 5/5 stars for them isn’t enough and they really went out of their way to help a customer. Thanks so much

Derek Manderson at Dunfermline branch has been brilliant. He has now designed both our kitchen and bathroom and has been friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable on both occasions. We have had a great experience designing our rooms and he has given us guidance throughout. Would recommend him to anyone.

Staff not interested in customers totally ignored when being served by cashier. No acknowledgement or even a simple please or thank you at any point during my shopping experience

Very easy to order online and pickup from the store.

Cameron prepared the paint we wanted quickly and precisely. The store staff is also very helpful and kind. As usual good variety of products and we found what we were looking for.

We were so impressed with the staff at the Dunfermline store today. Cameron was so helpful! He helped us when we were in the garden section and when I asked for some advice about items inside the store, he continued to help us. He was so polite, a real credit to the shop.
We were then served by Nikki at the till, who was also really friendly and helpful.

Dunfermline Store

I came in yesterday after having a total meltdown with my floating shelf.. that is well more than floating and I now have half a kitchen wall.
I’m a bigger lady, so I marched into Homebase like Mrs trunchbull after having an argument with a man in B&Q that couldn’t of been more patronising if he tried, anyway, I march in. And two staff look at me with a massive welcoming smile and the look of worry behind their eyes at the sheer site of me. “How can we help” well it all came out, 10 mins of me going on about how I just wanted a shelf in my kitchen with my pretty candle and plant but it’s floating out to sea instead of what I wanted, they both advised brackets . I said no, because I’m right as always and opted for the T-Rex Tape, I paid for my purchase, thanked the ladies for my therapy session and sped home to T-Rex my self up, and of course, they were right, it didn’t work! So now I’m still no shelf, black tape all over half the house and putting my trainers on to go back to Homebase with my tail between my legs for the brackets both staff advised on.

On a more serious note, I have autism, I don’t take to well to things not being explained and suffer with extreme anxiety and I think these ladies Elaine & Kirsty were well aware of that, they had an immediate calming influence and explained all my options even tho I didn’t take any of it on board. I really do appreciate how much time they spent with me, the different ways of explaining and the added humour they added, thank you so much ladies, I hate to say, I was wrong and you were right

Great service, we got what we wanted, and also ideas for a new project, service was great too.

Ease of ordering, good price on line, collect in store staff very helpful.

Diane was really helpful at the till, as was another member of staff whose name I didn't catch. A really positive shopping experience.

Dereck made us welcome and relaxed. His knowledge and explanations were excellent, along with his humour.

Perfect mix of professionalism and understanding.

I seen a special offer online but couldn't see it in the store asked the staff member who confirmed it was available and arranged to have the items brought to the checkout for me. This resulted in a great saving, so thanks to Nikki and Elaine for looking into this for me.

I ordered from stores near to me,on the morning of collection,Dunfermline branch called to say they didn’t have the quantity I had ordered and would only be able to supply 4,depending on breakages.I then went to Craigleith store,only to be told that the order had been cancelled due to supply issue,despite it saying that they had 7 available when I ordered,so two stores down and nothing to show for it.
I reordered the edging slabs at Glenrothes,quite a distance from where I am located,and finally managed to get the order fulfilled.
I have to say that it hasn’t been the best of experiences,and would make me think again about using Homebase. It has cost me a lot of time and fuel costs to eventually get my order

Collected item this morning. Only had to wait two minutes for the assistant to look at my info and to fetch the item. Totally efficient. Thank you Homebase.
