Turpin does not have a look in here!!!

My mother and stepfather, who are 80 years old and my mother is confused, received a telephone call from this company offering windows under the guise of a government scheme. As they had work done to the house 2 years previously, that did not cost them anything, they believed, with the wording used, that this would be free, and with them needing 2 new windows in the house, they showed an interest.
A salesman arrived and within first meeting my mother, must have noticed that there was a problem with her memory/ confusion. She has also suffered from nerves and anxiety my whole life. After a very long schpiell he eventually quoted a price of just under £4,000 for 2 standard sized windows. This price included a £399 administration fee. My stepfather told him repeatedly that this was far too much and that they could not afford this ( stepdad was a joiner and worked for a well known double glazing firm before retirement so knew this was overpriced ) My stepfather told him twice that they wanted to wait until i was home from a trip as i deal with everything for them. He then put all sales effort into my mother instead and after an hour and a half of sales tequnique in their home, my mother handed over £690 that he advised had to be paid that day. When i got home from my trip my parents were all upset by this and i read the contract and took consumer advice.
As they were still within their 14 day cooling off period i called homesealed up, my mother gave permission over the phone for me to discuss and act on their behalf, as did my stepdad. Initially they were happy to do this. That all changed as soon as i asked for a full refund( as stated on their contract) i was told i had to put this in writing and i emailed them immediately to cancel. Received a confirmation email back that day that they had received it. This all happened 18/2/26 and then it was constant messages, calls and emails back and forth. I have been lied to repeatedly in regards to getting refunded by them and then they said unless they had a copy of mums power of attorney, they would no longer discuss her account with me, however they have her bank details and STILL HAVE NOT REFUNDED HER ACCOUNT WITH £690 PAID TO THEM. 2 months have gone past and they have not contacted her and have ignored calls and requests for call backs.This has now escalated to omnibusman and will go to small claims court if nor resolved. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!!!

Had a consultation with this company through Ryan.
Had great product knowledge and was very helpful throughout.
With this in mind, we placed an order for 3 windows and a new door, instantly.

Unprofessional, disorganised time wasters.

Made enquiries with this company about Scottish government funded windows.

Initially they sent someone round a week before the arranged appointment.

We rescheduled for 10am on a bank holiday Monday, and I was phoned by them the day before to confirm.

Come Monday morning however, having got up early, they have failed to turn up with no contact.

Already had reservations about this scheme as they were pushing us to have two windows when we only need one, and wanting my husband to be here as if it was 1952.

On hearing the ad again they actually refer to "free funding" rather than "free windows" and I suspect this is likely just a hook to get people interested then try and sell you a debt package.

Update - was called three and a half hours after the arranged appointment time by a rude and belligerent female insisting they had called several times earlier in the morning (probably before I tuned my phone on), and that they don't bother keeping appointments unless the customer answers their phone 2 hours prior!

Sorry but I will turn my phone on when I wish on a bank holiday Monday; if you have made an appointment you keep it, this is basic decency.

The company that I have decided to use had no problem turning up to quote at the arranged time, and speaking to me in a respectful and appropriate manner.

It may (or may not) be a little more expensive to fund independently but we are now only paying for one window rather than being pressured into additional unnecessary work, and having the job done on our terms by someone reliable.

Highly recommend.

Good communication before and after the fitting. The guys installed the windows in a very professional manor, cleaned up afterwards and carried out extremely clean and neat work. A small issue was corrected within a few days. Very happy with the end results.

Great quality windows

Had my windows installed in November, no issues, great quality, accommodated a weekend installation that the sales person promised despite them not doing weekend installation any more.
Only issue is them never coming back to fix the outside plaster despite numerous calls and promises that someone will call me back. 5 months later still no one has fixed it.

No fuss Windows and Roof Replacement

This is a bit of a belated review. We had our windows and roof replaced by Homesealed last year. First impressions count and we had a very polite young gentleman who arranged for an appointment and a survey. We can honestly say the whole process, from start to finish was completely stress free. We got the windows and roof we wanted, and despite assurances that we'd hardly notice the teams were there, we were ready and prepared for 'building site' conditions. Our worries were unfounded. Honestly, the roof was replaced in 2 days and, with a short break in between, the 13 windows took 2 days too. Both teams worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly!! Being fervent DIY'ers we're accustomed to creating a bit of mess..but the guys from Homesealed were amazing. No mess, no fuss, no complaints when problems were encountered, just crack on and get it done. Wonderful. We can't thank everyone at Homesealed enough for making this process so easy, and 8 months down the line, we're still delighted with our wonderful high quality windows and roof. Amazing service!

Fantastic quality at competitive prices.

From start to finish Dougie and Adam were professional and friendly and left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived! The quality is great and I’m over the moon with my new windows. I would highly recommend Homesealed.

New windows and doors

Maxine was absolutely lovely and so helpful when it came to choosing my windows and doors. Claire from customer service was lovely.
When it came to the installation Rich and his team were amazing, worked well and professionally, were very polite and asked the necessary questions. Tidied up at the end of each day. Very happy with the overall experience of getting my windows and doors replaced.

Good quality products and excellent customer service.

The salesman who came to the house was excellent - knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the product but not pushy. The sample window was lovely - large, and so I was able to see and try all the 'mechanics' pointed out. It appeared to be excellent quality, I felt confident signing up to purchase a new front door and I fully expect to purchase windows from Homesealed later this year, I don't feel any need to look at windows from other company and I am happy with the quotation Homesealed gave for replacing my windows.
The fitters arrived on time and did a splendid job, clearly knew what they were about and left no mess. They made sure I was completely happy before they left and insisted I tried the locks to make sure I could open and close the door easily - being new, it was a bit stiff so they made adjustments to suit my strength.
I would have given 5 stars but for some confusion over initial administration, all by phone, and scant detail on the paperwork some of which didn't come until after I had signed up. I felt there was 'persuasion' to pay immediately by card or by phone when the fitters had finished. I resisted, but was happy to pay the balance in full the following morning, and by bank transfer. Excellent communication from the office throughout to confirm appointments beforehand and check I was satisfied afterwards. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Excellent product and fitters, organisation/communication lacking

Most everyone we spoke with in person were excellent. The initial sales reps, the surveyor and the fitters were all fab.

The fitters especially were professional, lovely to chat to and worked incredibly tidily. The finished product is fantastic.

The issues we had were largely around organisation.

We had two surveyors show up for the same job in the same day. We had problems multiple times trying to reschedule.

We had fitters who initially came to perform the installation who had no idea we lived on the top floor and were unequipped to deal with the situation.

When it came to payments, it felt like we were being hounded, before the fitters had even left the building, despite the fact that we still have work to be completed.

The final interactions left a bad taste despite how excellent the work had been.

Pushy and extremely overpriced

The initial consultation seemed okay although it took almost an hour and the salesperson mentioned we could be a feature home and asked lots of questions implying this would get us a great discount. I was then told we could get 3 windows and 2 doors for £9500 and a further £399 was taken then and there. After a day of reflection and speaking to people in my area, I realised how overpriced this was. I asked to cancel and was told I had to have a face to face meeting to do this and both me and my husband HAD to be present. The manager turned up to my house stinking of smoke and immediately started asking intrusive questions about my fsmily. I said I was in a hurry and would it take long and was told he was in a hurry too and he was just socialising and then continued to ask more questions about my family. I again asked why the questions were relevant and at this point the man started asking me what my problem was. He pointed at my husband and said 'you're fine but shes not'. He then tried to offer us a discount. Again we just said we wanted to cancel. The man eventually left but I was left almost in tears that someone could be so rude to me in my own home because I changed my mind about purchasing their product. Avoid at ALL costs
