This company and online store stinks
This company and online store stinks! I placed one order in the past just to have them cancel it. Therefore, I was hesitant to buy from them online again. But after awhile, I decided to try again, however, right after I placed an order, they immediately cancelled me again! I just hope I get my credit back or I have to call my credit card company! They are frauds! Your best bet is to shop in store if you can but don’t even consider doing it online because they are frauds!

Biggest concern about Hot Topic is - u cannot shop for HT merch here in Canada. The website is for the USA. U have to convert from USD to CAN, which is a pain - also shipping cost more. I do not buy from HT online.
I am lucky whereas my local HT is the "flagship store" for Toronto and yet even They dont get much new merch in. HT USA ship more to Canada.
I am a Youtuber and would love to give HT a big shout=out on my vids, when they deserve it.

Be careful. If you order something limited edition online the employees will sell it out of your order to other customers...or themselves. Boise, ID location especially bad customer service.

Hot Topic is a rip off
Hot Topic is a rip off. Ordered a BOGO free blanket in January. Then I got notice that the blankets wouldnt be available until March. So I canceled. On June 8th my debit was charged and never received them nor do I want them. I disputed charge and bank reimbursed me. I wake up this morning and my account has been charged again leaving me flat broke and pissed beyond belief. I wouldn't buy anything from these people. Service sucks!

So we went to hot topic today to pick up an order from online and so we asked a manager. You’re supposed to show proof of ID to pick up an order, okay understandable. but instead of saying that he was rushing her and being passive aggressive. maybe we’re just “sensitive” but still, not cool man find a better attitude.

Never received my order or a refund. Complete waste of time and money. I feel robbed and will let all my friends and family know to never shop here as they just take your money and forget about you and your order. This whole experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing
Never Disappointed
Oh, man, I did not expect the rating for Hot Topic to be so low. I don't know anything about a history of art theft but I can speak from my experience. So, all but one of my Hot Topic purchases, have been online. That's just because I live in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't tell you at this point how many orders I've made. I have never had a bad experience with them, not a single one. I'm plus size and they're inclusive to people of my size and have a lot of cool things to wear. Being able to find things I like in my size is something so wonderful. Nothing I've bought has come damaged and none of my stuff became damaged over time. I have jeans from high school that have held up. I've bought shoes, accessories, home stuff, and they've all been great.
I think people are way too hard on Hot Topic about them catering to more than one subculture now. And if they did in fact remove Marilyn Manson merch, as an ex-fan, it's because he's a horrible person. At least they care about who they're representing and making money off of.
Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience. I ordered a $22 t-shirt that had been "custom printed" only to receive a stiff craft store tshirt with a bad silkscreen job. I called for a replacement, they gave me the run around, told me I had to send back the shirt I had and they'd send me a return shipping label. When I didn't receive the label after a few hours, I called again, speaking to someone else. They told me I did not have to send the shirt back, and they'd just order me a new one. MONTHS go by, and not a peep. Last week I got an email saying my order had been cancelled due to being out of stock. I AM FUMING. I will be extremely hesitant to give this store any more of my money, time or business.
Great finds and good deals
I've had nothing but good experiences thus far. They are my go to for affordable alternative costume jewelry and the occasional clothing item. Their plus sized collection has grown which was one of my former concerns so now I can actually order things that fit my hips. I've ordered online and in store and haven't had any trouble with customer service.
Health Hazard
Health Hazard, Absolutely Disgusting! I received a sweater with a decaying piece of paper in with it that is covered in mold and mysterious stains. And the sweater reeks of mold and animal pee! I second I opened it I began to get a migraine from the mold as I am very allergic to it. I currently have the order tied tightly in multiple trash bags as I am concerned about what else is living in there. That warehouse needs to be shut down! I have never received something so disgusting in the mail before! Shut it down before more people are harmed
awful customer service
i had made an order back in january and i hadn't received a confirmation email but the money had been pulled from my account. i waited a few days, still no email. i emailed their customer service and explained everything and told them what all was in my order, all i got back was a one sentence email basically saying "sorry but we don't have an order with your name 🤪". i emailed back asking for a refund if i wasn't going to get the product, never got a reply. then i did live chat to try and see if someone else could help me, every single time i was disconnected or told the same thing. a few weeks later my order randomly showed up at my door even though i still never got a confirmation email. overall very bad experience and if you actually care about where your money is going i wouldn't recommend spending it here.
