After doing much research and trying out a mattress at our local bed store, I knew that all the previous mattresses I had tried could not compete. I was impressed by how they are made, using natural wool and being hand finished. After spending many years on a high quality memory foam mattress, I wanted to get away from materials that were causing me to overheat at night. Sleeping now on my Hypnos mattress feels like a piece of luxury which I think is money well spent seeing that to get a good night's sleep is worth every penny.

I changed from medium/firm to medium mattress. What a difference to my sleeping experience. I seem to be able to sleep for longer and feel more refreshed than I have done for years. First time with a Hypnos mattress and it won’t be the last.

I switched from a Tempur Mattress because I was waking up overheating in the night. This no longer happens with my Hypnos as it’s made with all natural materials. It feels nice knowing the materials are sustainable and organic. The quality of the mattress is next level. The support is very good.

This mattress delivered true luxury from day one. The pillow top gave that deep, plush “sinking in” hotel bed feel with excellent pressure relief on shoulders and hips. I’m a side sleeper (with some back sleeping too), and it cradled me perfectly without bottoming out early on. The natural fillings kept it breathable no overheating issues even in summer. My partner could toss and turn without disturbing me much.
Craftsmanship shone through: hand tufted, quality pocket springs that provided good support and edge stability for the first several years. It felt premium and looked elegant with its deep profile. Many nights I fell asleep faster and woke up more refreshed. it is easily the best sleeps I’ve ever had.

After making the switch to a Hypnos mattress, my definition of a "good night's sleep" has been completely rewritten. There is a distinct difference between a mass-produced foam mattress and the handcrafted excellence of a Hypnos, and you feel it the second you lie down.
The pocket spring system is incredibly reactive. It manages to feel firm enough to support my spine while still offering that "cloud-like" pressure relief on my shoulders and hips. There is a unique "buoyancy" to a Hypnos. It doesn’t have that "sinking into quicksand" feeling of memory foam; instead, it pushes back just enough to make you feel weightless. Whether I’m sleeping on my side or my back, I wake up without the usual aches and stiffness.

Having spent £2000+ on a Simba mattress approximately 1.5 years ago and were so dissatisfied with it we decided to move on and buy another. We settled on the Hypnos Pillow Top Select and the difference is night and day for comfort. Will be purchasing another for our spare room soon.

Good experience from picking our mattress in store with a very knowledgeable assistant. The delivery was fantastic two really pleasant and polite guys. We are finding we are getting a much better quality of sleep and ability to turn over much easier.

My 2nd Hypnos bed. Well made, great product.

I tested this bed out and lay on it for at least half an hour. I’m used to pillowtop mattresses. Perfect so I thought. From the moment I lay on it,it was like being in a hammock. No support at all. Nothing like the one in the shop I tried. It’s a medium tension. I appreciate the sink in feeling with a lovely pillow top but this is definitely not right. My daughter tried lying on it and is about 8 stone 9. She sank into it at this weight and she said it was horrendous with no support and was immediately uncomfortable with no support. That was just on her back. On her side she expressed how it would be impossible to sleep on it. She can sleep on anything! I’m mortified. The shop I got it from says Hypnos won’t look at it for three months unless I pay £85! I’m turning it weekly as by the book. It makes no difference at all. It’s literally ten times worse than the one I disposed of due to sagging after 11 years. I paid £3000 with the base and there is categorically something wrong with it. I’m stuck with a mattress which is utterly dreadful and crippling me from head to foot. I did loads of research and found great reviews. I made sure I stayed on it for at least half hour and no way did it feel like the one delivered. The one delivered was sagging and uncomfortable from the second I lay on it. I’m very upset. So much money wasted and nobody can help me. The shop I got it from were lovely. The buying process was great. They can’t do anything. It’s up to Hypnos but apparently nothing can be done for three months. I know mattresses take time to bed in and settle but this issue won’t change! Something is not right. So much money for me as I’m disabled and cant work. How two mattresses the same can be so different is beyond me. I’m very sad I can get no help. I’m forced to sleep on a mattress which is not fit for purpose. Four people all light weight have tried it and every one has said there is something wrong! I just wish Hypnos could help here. It’s making life very miserable for me.

Bought a Hypnos mattress from Grove Bedding, Galashiels. Its the second time I've bought from them - their staff are knowledgable and take time to find out your needs and budget. We narrowed it down to three mattresses and I spent some time trying them out. The Hypnos one was a little above my budget, but it won on two counts - comfort and provenance. They're a family firm, use natural materials and do well with sustainability. Having used it for nearly 3 months I'm really pleased. The (very clear) instructions said to rotate it every week for the first 3 months. You really need to do this to get rid of the body impression, especially in the first month, but almost at the 3 month mark now and I can see that it won't be needed so often soon. It was surprisingly easy to do this. I'd recommend Hypnos to anyone, but I'd also recommend going to a shop rather than online as you really need to try a mattress.

Absolutely the right decision to get a new Hypnos mattress.
My previous mattress was Hypnos. I slept, on that for at least 15 years.
My new one is superb to sleep on.
The support is exactly what I needed. Great nights sleep. Comfort plus luxury.

This is an update to the previous negative report that I gave to Hypnos.
Hypnos replaced the disintegrating single mattress with a new 'like for like' product. I am grateful to Hypnos for honouring their 10 year guarantee and the speed with which the situation was rectified.
I accept that the original confusion may have been caused by myself through not directing the initial enquiry to the retailer. Excellent service Hypnos and thank you so much

Having purchased a single firm mattress in September 2023 and it has recently started squeaking when I turned over which was very annoying.
I contacted the supplier and I had to send a video showing the squeak.
Hypnos sent out a furniture expert to inspect the mattress and they found that it was probably a spring rubbing against the material but stated it wasn't a manufacturer fault which I find disappointing. After back and forth emails with myself the supplier and Hypnos stating I was dissatisfied with their findings Hypnos said they weren't able to replace the mattress.
Hypnos mattresses come with a 10 year guarantee which is obviously no use whatsoever as if the mattress is squeaky surely it is faulty 🤦

I enjoy using the mattress: good combination of firmness and softness. Looks well made, able to turn it on my own, without having to turn it over.
