Pepijn sees perfectly what issues are preventing you from improving your surfing skills, and gives handson advice on them.

Not only does he give you verbal tips, but he makes you see and feel why what you are doing is not working, and what you need to do to make it work.

The video analysis helps tremendously with that. And yes: it can be frustrating that you make the same mistakes over and over again, and that you see those mistakes over and over again on the videos. But only when you realise that you need to adjust something can you work on it.

Pepijjn creates a safe evironement where you are encouraged to make as much mistakes as you can. The group can be divers, but all participants are equally happy for you when you finally make that turn, get that stance, of ride that wave.

I can't wait to put in as many hours as possible to work on my skills with the tools Pepijn gave me so that I can finally get beyond a beginning intermediate surfer.

Expect an intense week where everything is about your progression in surfing. That can be confronting at times. The many hours of surfing can feel physically demanding, but once you have taken the step to get better in surfing then I can only recommend a coaching week with a committed coach as Pepijn!

I had a one-week surf coaching with Pepijn in Portugal. Pepijn organized each day of the week really well, without putting any pressure on us (timing, logistics, performance etc.). It was a chill week, yet packed with highly valuable insights and tips. We basically surfed everyday for a few hours, and had video analysis every evening, which was incredibly helpful to witness our mistakes and work on areas of improvement. Pepijn made sure to tailor his expertise and tips to each of us. I feel like a learnt a lot this week and that I have goals to focus on to improve my surfing. I highly recommend Pepijn as surf coach.

I had the pleasure of doing a week of advanced surf coaching in Portugal and all I can say is: it was absolutely fantastic! The surf coach is simply great - not only a real pro on the board, but also incredibly competent and motivating as a coach.

From the very first day, he adapted exactly to my ability and gave me helpful tips to improve my technique and ride safer waves. His keen eye for detail helped me to spot mistakes that I had never noticed before and small adjustments often brought big improvements.

The week was not only super educational, but also incredibly fun. The surf coach manages to find a pleasant balance between professionalism and a relaxed atmosphere, which makes the coaching really unique. Not only did I take my surfing to a new level, but I also had a great time. I can only warmly recommend it!

Just straight up best coaching I ever had. Pepijn explains it super well and really makes you think about what you are actually doing in the water. Great tips and guidance with help of the video analysis. On top of it all, he’s just an overall genuine awesome dude!

The week with Pepijn was very enjoyable and educational. Using video footage, it’s highly effective to identify areas for improvement in your own surfing. Additionally, Pepijn coaches with great patience and empathy, focusing on the small details and explaining them step by step. Through simple exercises, the tips become tangible, without needing to get in the water right away. All in all, a very educational week that I highly recommend!

Did a surfcoaching week @ Hossegor/vieux boucau in france period end of september.
From small to big waves he knew the spots and guided us to the best (uncrowded) line up spots. This knowledge together with the video analysis made the surfing week much more efficient, let alone the great breakfasts and dinners which were prepared by the surfblend crew.

Coming into this trip I had some injuries and was doubting if I should attend. Pepijn reassured me that even though IF I would not be able to surf the whole week there would still be alot to learn. I'm really grateful Pepijn reassured me before hand, because I was still able to surf all days and I learned a ton. This conversation happened because it feels naturel to open up to Pepijn as he is a great listener and very emphatic.

I went from knowing 'how to do' certain movements, to know 'how they should feel', which is a major step in my surf progression. We used video analyses, surfskating and a strong theoretical background to accomplish this. This combination works wonders in my eyes. Also in between sessions or in 'free time' Pepijn was always able to answers questions or think along your worries or challenges.

I am really confident I can improve my surfing alot the upcoming months with all the new knowledge I gained from the trip! Thanks Pepijn and I am looking forward to future trips!

A second coaching week with Pepijn, and just as great as the first one :). This coaching is especially recommended if you want to analyze your surfing, so you know what’s going well and what steps you need to take next. It’s not so much about catching the most or best waves (which, of course, is also a lot of fun), but more about getting a grip on your progress by setting appropriate goals and working towards them. Pepijn has endless examples and exercises to make the complex things easier, involving things like petting dogs, pizzas and beers, and cardboard boxes ;) I’m always amazed at how quickly Pepijn can describe what you’re doing, what you should be doing, and especially why.

On top of that, Pepijn is super easy to get along with, driven to understand you, and passionate about helping you move forward, in whatever way. Comfortably out of your comfort zone, it is safe to be vulnerable. The atmosphere in the group is friendly, open and positive. In short, a fantastic week!

Definitely leaving this coaching trip excited about surfing!
I feel the trip was a good balance between working hard on our surfing and having fun. Despite the group setting I got personalized advice and tips (focused on entering waves with more confidence and speed). Some of these I managed to implement during the trip and some I can take with me for practice for later.
What is special about these tips is that I understood the logic behind them and so got some tools from Pepijn I can help myself with in the future as well.
He also created an accepting and relaxed environment in which it felt safe to make mistakes and then work on them. This was really important for fast and effective learning.
He’s been a great host too, adjusting the weekly programme to the group’s needs and keeping it really fun.
Can’t wait for the next trip!

Coaching by Pepijn is something else.

I have had surf coaching more often, but with Pepijn it is something else. Not only do you feel his burning passion, which made me even more stoked. He also knows so much about things that others coaches often see as details, but that are actually really important. He is very precise in his advice, it is adapted to your personal needs so that you do not get overwhelmed by information, and know exactly what your action point are, for now. Lastly, in my opinion the best part, his coaching sessions are not only helpful during the session itself, but during the session I had after getting coaching, when I was by myself, I vividly saw the video images, and Pepijn advice and tips going trough my head, and I really felt the difference, which was for me the "wip/wap" during the take off/pop op, so where your board is positioned in the wave! 10/10 would recommend doing this when you love surfing and want to be better

I had an amazing wave pool coaching session with Pepijn, and I absolutely loved it! He's a great coach who explains theory clearly and effectively. Over the years, I've had several coaching sessions in different locations, but this was truly next-level. I gained new insights into my surfing! Pepijn’s expertise, combined with his fun and engaging approach, made the experience great. I highly recommend him and will definitely be coming back for more coaching in the future!

Pepijn, is a fantastic coach. He’s fun, knowledgeable, thoughtful, caring, diligent and has great analytical skills. On a recent boat trip to the Maldives I learnt a lot from Pepijn and felt very supported by him, both in and out of the water.
If you want to progress your surfing I would absolutely recommend Pepijn. He’s an awesome surfer but what he’s really passionate about and prides himself on, is his coaching. It’s a vocation for Pepijn, not just a sideline. Highly recommended!

I felt like my surfing hadn’t progressed in years since moving to the Netherlands, but boy did that change after one hour with Pepijn at Rif010 in Rotterdam!

This was my first time surfing this artificial wave and I was really nervous. Pepijn explained everything really well though and made us feel comfortable.

The surfing session itself was amazing! After every wave Pepijn gave feedback which I could act on right away on my next wave, so I honestly felt like I improved much more in this one hour than in the last years.

The video analysis after was also really helpful, and I know what to focus on next.

Pepijn is an incredible surf coach. He coached myself and my 15 year old daughter. We surfed the biggest waves I’ve surfed in twenty years, and I had quite a moment trying to figure out whether I was up to it. Pepijn was calm, reassuring, inspirational, and a technically brilliant surfer. I was thrilled to catch some of these sizable waves and use the opportunity to slow my movements, think, and apply the targeted skills Pepijn had me work on. My daughter had so much fun, and was far less intimidated than me! Time after time, the surf sessions ended when they felt like they’d only just begun. Evidently, it was because we were all having such a great time. Thanks Pepijn. Your thoughtful coaching has reinvigorated my surfing and fueled me with a refined confidence, and my daughter is now more unstoppable than she was before. We’ll be back for more😊

It was a very good surf coaching session where we focussed on 1/2 specific points to improve and I got immediate feedback to take on to the next wave. Afterwards during the video analysis it was very clear what went well and what needed improving. With extra feedback on that, I am confident I will put extra focus on those points the next time in the water. Pepijn gives you confidence and overall good vibes.
