Don't waste your money, on this 2 ✨️

Over charged, room was nothing like described, no newspaper, missing silverware, bowls were dirty. Carpet was torn and smelled, wet mildewed paper towels under kitchen sink, towels in bathroom still had makeup on it.. guys outside side entrance smoking pot. Electricity went off for an hour. No help when I asked front desk how to operate DVD player.

AVOID..!! AVOID..!! AVOID..!! At all cost

My experience staying at this so called dive of a so called Hotel...

Book a room @ Candlewood Suites Miami - Doral
10505 NW 36th St, Miami, FL 33166 US for 29th Dec 2024.

What a dump of a so called hotel very different than illustrated my advise would be to stay far away from this place and don't waste your money. It's was a good thing that me and my wife booked just one night as we was looking for a hotel for a 6-7 night stay in Miami as it was our first visit as we travelled from Orlando where we done a week and was looking to do a weeks stay in Miami. We was delayed travelling down to Miami from Orlando so we arrived to check in around 19.00hrs we arrived at the building we noticed that the swimming pool was empty and dry from no water that was the first sign as that was not mentioned when booking I.E (Swimming out of use). Next thing was when we checked in at the reception which was like across the road from the car park we entered and you could smell this old odour as you walk into the entrance which was not attractive at all I can swear this odour was coming from the carpets which smelt old and damp. We was put on the third floor in room 315 which the odour smelt even worst than the corridor so we request another room so the receptionist allocated us in room 316 which was opposite which wasn't any better as we discovered the cooker oven door was broken hinges and the cupboards,,! No words can describe how outdated and old they were and smelt old and not fit for purpose.. My wife even discovered a dead cockroach which means they have very poor housekeeping if any..! This is hotel if you can called it that is not fit for purpose and should be bulldozed and Re-Builted from scratch. I will be in touch with the CEO to discuss a refund from this atrocity of a building that should be shut down I've seen better buildings in deprived areas. Health and Safety Standards Institution will be notified as well as I feel real cheated AND DISGUSTED with the way we have been treated. Also the receptionist was very unhelpful like she didn't give a dam all they want is your hard earn money and not give the service or accommodation you paid for. Worst hotel I've ever stay at and had no choice.. After that experience we found the Hilton Homewood Hotel which was cost less and was luxury in comparison for the rest of our six night stay in Miami.

Refused to honor paid reservation and no refund

We came to the hotel because of mandatory evacuation in Naples, FL. The front desk woman refused to honor our paid reservation for no apparent reason, and the hotel refused a refund! Front desk woman seemed untrained and unsophisticated, to say the least, and rude. She said she couldn’t see our reservation and gave us a hard time, had my wife call hotels.com and spend over 30minutes trying to give her various confirmation numbers. All the while she HAD our reservation and was staring straight at it. Only that my wife gave her ID and it was under my name, but SAME last name! And we were both standing right in front of her! My wife called the police on her. But police said it is a civil dispute. The hotel refused a refund and refused our stay there on a paid reservation! They also refused to cancel our second night reservation when the front desk told us in person that she cancelled it. And they refused to refund for the second night as well. We already have a reply from them regarding it, and the second night charge is forthcoming on our card. We ended up staying and paying for another hotel for the same two nights. The entire thing is so twisted, it is hard to wrap our heads as to how or why this has happened.

BOOKED A ROOM FOR THE WRONG DATE USING BOOKING.COM. UPON ARRIVAL MADE A NEW RESERVATION DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL AND WAS TOLD TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION I HAD MADE WITH BOOKING.COM. LATER I FOUND THE FIRST RESERVATION WAS NON REFUNDABLE BECAUSE THIS WAS A HOTEL POLICY. I HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH THE HOTEL CURTUMER SERVICE AND WITH BOOKING.COM CUSTUMER SERVICE TO TO SEE IF THERE COULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION TO GET A FULL REFUND OF 170.00 DOLLARS. I WILL NOT RECOMEND STAYING IN THIS PLACE BECAUSE THEY GOT MY MONEY TWICE AND WAS NOT WARNED THAT THE SECOND RESERVATION WAS NOT REFUNDABLE.

Caution: IHG Hotels May Not Honor Online Booking Rates

I want to share a critical warning with anyone considering booking with IHG Hotels Group, especially during promotional periods like Black Friday sales. My recent experience has raised serious concerns about their commitment to honouring the rates advertised on their own website.

During a Black Friday promotion, I booked a room at an IHG property (Candlewood Suites Lake Mary) at a significantly discounted rate. However, just days before my scheduled travel, I discovered that the hotel had changed my booking rate without any prior notification to me. This change was not a minor adjustment but a substantial increase from the original promotional offer.

What has been particularly distressing is the lack of communication from IHG. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter and engage with their customer service, the response has been far from satisfactory. It involved dealing with multiple case managers, yet the issue remained unresolved, leading to a great deal of frustration and inconvenience.

This experience has been eye-opening and concerning. For those planning to book with IHG Hotels, particularly during sales or promotional events, please be vigilant. It appears there's a risk that the rate you book at may not be the rate you're ultimately charged, and getting the issue resolved may not be straightforward.

I felt it necessary to share this experience to help others avoid similar situations. Always double-check your reservations, and be prepared to advocate for your rights as a consumer.

Horrible Hotel Should Be Condemned.

We had reservations for Candlewood Suites in Ft Myers, FL. When we pulled in, the place looked mostly condemned. We had reservations for another Days Inn, and they said this was a very nice hotel. My partner is handicapped and has problems with stairs. We were told there were no elevators and the whole bottom level of rooms was closed due to a hurricane, as was the pool. This property should be condemned. Desk person was very nice, though, and she got our reservations canceled and the money returned. But the hotel itself is just horrible.

This place is unbelievably bad

This place is unbelievable. The week I stayed there a drunken woman accosted me in the lobby at 3:30 in the morning. I had gotten up early to do a load of laundry and she came into the laundry room and breathed alcohol fumes in my face, offering me a beer. I ended up calling the police on her.

They have grills on the patio, but the patio is primarily used by people who smoke and if you go out there and there are people smoking, it practically chokes you. The grill does not ignite with the ignition switch and you have to use a ligher to light it manually.

When I wrote a review on another travel website, the owner saw it and had an absolute fit. He ordered me to take the review down or I would have to leave the hotel the next day. I amended the review slightly, but it was still honest. He didn't like it and as a result, I was asked to leave.

They have free laundry facilities. but the heavy door to the fitness room/laundry room is often propped open by a trash can overflowing with all sorts of garbage. It is often not emptied for day.

I thought Alfred, the clerk who works at night was a nice guy, but you can barely hear him when he speaks and when I had to call one night that he was there, I didn't even know if he was still there. I could hear him breathing, but he didn't respond.

The phone in room is so muffled you can barely hear the front desk staff if they call you.

Stay away from this place. If you call their corporate headquarters, you are on hold forever.

There was bloody scabs and blood on the sheets. I checked in Candlewood Suites in O’Fallon, IL on 12/19/2019 around 1:30 am. My wife and I were tired after driving all day so we just went straight to bed. Around seven hours later at 8:00 am we woke up. At that time, we saw bloody scabs and blood on our sheets. It was not our blood neither one of us had any cuts. The room was not cleaned since the people before me were there. Everything was filthy dirty. I didn’t see the room earlier since I went right to bed. I don’t know if the persons blood had AID’s, Coronavirus, hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Malaria or a Plague. I have pictures that should be attached to this statement to show the condition of the room. I didn’t stay at the discount hotel across the street since I wanted to stay in a clean hotel. I couldn’t have been more wrong about Candlewood Suites being clean. I asked the manager to help me find out who the people were who rented my room last so I could call them and ask them health questions. I ask if she could just have them call me so she didn’t have to give me their phone number, she said NO. I asked for the main number for the IHG Executive Office to get in touch with somebody that would pay for my wife and I to get tested, she said NO. I asked for my money back for the seven hours I spent in the hotel, she said NO. She told me I needed to ask for a refund the same day that I checked in, not the next day. I kept telling her I checked in earlier that morning so this is the same day, she said NO. I turned on my phone video and she ran to get out of the room, ranting out of breath that I can’t take a video of her. She was hysterical after that. A young desk clerk just sat there smiling at her wicked drugged boss. I have now paid over $300 on blood test and my doctor wants me to take more including the Coronavirus Test since the first known case was November 17, 2019 my wife and I need to get tested. but I can’t afford them. Don’t stay here they don’t clean their rooms and they don’t care what happens. I want all my money back from Candlewood Suites will not reply to any of my communications. I would like to take more blood tests before it’s too late.

Nice hotel room with most stuff…

Nice hotel room with most stuff avaliable. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Our problem was solved within 5 minutes. Excellent location very close to subway to Manhattan and walk along the river. I stayed at Candlewood Suites New Jersey.

The Swimmingpool is only open for children from 15:00- 18:30 This is VERY inconvinent.
Keycards for the door dosent work Much of Our vacation time was lost on This problem.
The Window couldent be closed so we sleept in 10c cold.

InterContinental Berlin - don't go there!!!

We visited InterContinental Berlin in the beginning of december 2018. When we checked out the hotel never payed back our money deposit on 50 Euros. That is called stealing!
We wrote the hotel several times - never got the money back!!!
Don't go there!!!!!

Crowne Plaza London changed my reservation without telling me

Booked two rooms at Crowne Plaza King's Cross online. On day of check-in I decided to check the online booking, just in case, and discovered my booking had been amended by the hotel, without my knowing, putting two complete strangers in the same bed! I tried to correct the error, phoning the hotel over and over, but getting nowhere. Eventually phoned head office but kept getting cut-off after 10 minute waits. Spent almost two hours trying to get a simple booking corrected, for a mistake I did not make. Thankfully my guests were very happy with the hotel but because of all of the hassle I went through I would not book with the hotel again.

Intercontinental Dublin - 5* Luxury on Dublin's Doorstep‎

This is a superb Intercontintental hotel.
It is well located in the renowned Ballsbridge area in Dublin. The hotel is well connected by bus, trams and roads allowing easy connection to Dublin city. The location is surrounded by nice views.
The hotel has a great restaurant, health gym, swimming pool and parking facilities. Breakfast options are excellent. The staff are friendly & welcoming and do their very best to help you enjoy your stay.
The Executive rooms are really great and comfortable especially the super king size bed !
If you are visiting Dublin I would highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you for a very memorable stay in Dublin. Top marks !

Very good customer service.

Spoke to Vijay at the InterContinental London (The O2), regarding my booking for three deluxe rooms (taking the kids to see Ariana Grande and then spending the night). Wonderful customer service, answered all my questions in detail, referred me to his colleagues when required and offered direct follow-up if I needed to - nothing was too much trouble. Now that's customer CARE! (Some companies, once they get your money it's game over for you). Thankfully, this is NOT the case here.

Intercontinental Mauritius heaven on earth!

I really don't know where to start here but I'll give it a go. If you want a home away from home, 10 star service, amazing food plus much more then stay at the Intercontinental in Mauritius! I went with family last year then went back with my partner 6 months later because we loved it. Highly recommended the presidential suite, it is the best room in the hotel. It's very clean, the grounds are beautfiul and the whole experiwnce was made very special. The staff are amazing and treat you like royalty. The beach is not the best bit I will be going back again next year as it was truly unbelievable. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

TRES MAUVAIS SERVICE COMMERCIAL

J'ai effectué la réservation d'une chambre pour une nuitée en janvier.

Quelle est ma surprise quand je constate que j'ai déjà été débité par l'Hôtel. Quelle confiance dans la clientèle alors qu'ils avaient les coordonnées de ma CB.

J'appelle pour avoir une explication. On me répond de façon pas claire. Je demande que l'on m'adresse une facture pour ne pas avoir à repayer en janvier. La personne m'a indiqué qu'elle me l'adressait. J'attends toujours. Heureusement que nous ne sommes pas dans une hôtel FORMULE 1. Cet hôtel est de haut de gamme UNIQUEMENT pour le prix pas pour le SERVICE !!! Je déconseille fortement.

Zero stars - Bad service, terrible customer service

I stayed at this hotel the night before a flight. As most will know, when you stay in a hotel like this, you pretty much wake up, shower and go! I went to have a shower, grabbed the towel and as i went to use it, noticed the most disgusting stains! Not having another towel i had to use a hand towel.

One further inspection, not only was the towel stained, but also had a terrible smell to it. Not bad for a 4 star hotel hey? This may seem petty, but a 4 star hotel should be able to provide 1 good towel!

I had to literally run from the hotel to a taxi, which left me no time to complain, but wanted to do it when i returned. I sent a tweet this morning and result, they replied with the following - Sorry to hear that. We’d like to help. Pls email contact, res info & room # w/ handle name to (email address) @CrownePlaza

I emailed all the details over, thinking "what a speedy reply" They then replied to my email with a generic email saying sorry and they passed my details on. I asked how this helps me? they replied to say they have it on file. On file? I replied again to say HOW DOES THIS HELP ME?????

In summary, when you complain via social media, they do all they can to make it look like they will help, you provide them with all details and add it to a file! So when they say "we'd like to help" they actually mean waste more of your time!

Enjoy it

Hotel was very good. Pricing was reasonable or a little better than good actually, we got ourselves a good price. I would recommend them for a nice stay. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves.

Overall very nice hotel.

Friendly staff, good breakfast incl. live harpe music :-), good rooms and facilities, very nice big gym and swimming pool, fair prices, Centrally located. I can only recommend this hotel.
