Fantastic service
Fantastic service. I called to check they had the bag in stock. The staff were very helpful and professional. It turned out that there was only one bag in stock (the one on display), so the member of staff took the bag to the order processing department for me. I had to order online, but the site was showing an error, they stayed on the phone with me whilst they very quickly sorted the problem at their end and ensured I could order the bag. I was not expecting them to be able to get the bag to me before Christmas, as I ordered it so late in the day, but they did! It arrived on Christmas eve. A fantastic service and experience. Thank you.

3rd floor restaurant
I haven't visited Jarrolds for several months and went to the 3rd floor restaurant and wish I'd not bothered. It was fairly quiet to what I would have expected. I wanted the vegetable soup and had to wait for about 10 minutes before being served, and even when I and another customer got the attention of a server she pretty much told us she was on sandwiches and baked potatoes. The latte i had was weak and tasted of poor quality also it was not as hot as it should have been. I used to enjoy my visits to the restaurant, come on Jarrold you are much better than this

4 days till told they didnt have the item in stock
Ordered a slow cooker as a christmas present, showed in stock on the website. Got an email after purchase saying they would check on the stock status. 3 days later, nothing so emailed to find out. 4 days after ordering im told theres no stock. Absolutely disgusting, if you do not have an item in stock, dont sell it. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE.

We never like to cancel orders and will always do our very best to complete an order. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, as we really value our customers experience and your feedback helps us to improve our services. We run a fairly sophisticated system of stock control on the website and instore, as it is a waste of everyone’s time to advertise items which we can’t fulfil. We do use buffers on some of our e-commerce and we also have a web service call-back in the checkout to confirm that the item is still showing in store. With regards to your order, the item was sent out for picking and then again, for a second pick, but was unable to be located. Unfortunately with some departments there are occasions when items are not removed from the stock system that are faulty, or have been returned for some reason and not able to be re-sold, but again, may not been removed from our active selling stock in the correct way. Took them 3 days to confirm item in stock…
Took them 3 days to confirm they had item in stock of an item ordered online - it was listed as in stock at the time I ordered it for Christmas. I had to contact them to find out what the hold up was, was informed 1st picker hadn't been able to locate it so sent a 2nd picker out. The next day told 'sorry, out of stock'. They need to act quicker than this, especially over Christmas period when there is already parcel delivery delay. Second time this has happened at Christmas time with Jarrold, unreliable - won't be using them again.

I went to pick up my order on floor 2
I went to pick up my order on floor 2 . When I approached the desk the women on the desk looked at me and then just picked up the phone to make a call. I found this extremely rude, no comment, no sorry I will be with you in a moment. I do not understand why basic politeness was not possible. Fortunately a man saw this and came over to support us. What a shame I left feeling that Jarrolds had failed with this lack of customer care.

The Jarrold store is absolutely fantastic…
The Jarrold store is absolutely fantastic, really well laid out and really nice to shop in. The newly refurbished lower ground floor deli is lovely, this along with a variety of excellent restaurants. The menswear section is not overly crammed with displays and has a nice flow when viewing, the ladies wear floor has a good spread of brands with a good staff ratio. The pop up stores are a nice addition with some great displays, all in all a great classy independent department store which is head and shoulders above the competition.

Excellent customer service
Really quick service and I received updates that let me know exactly what was happening. The order was in store ready for collection the day after I made the online order, very impressed they were able to work on it straight away.

Great online service at a great price
I had never heard of Jarrolds but when my item came up on a search far cheaper at Jarrolds than anywhere else, I decided to place an order, especially as it was a department store. I am so glad I did. Item arrived beautifully packed, on time and I was kept updated throughout the process. I would have no hesitation in using Jarrold's online service in the future.
