We recently purchased a used vehicle from Specialist Cars Skoda Dundee. Our experience with this company from the outset was superb. We received a very fair deal on the vehicle. At all times the levels of communication - and honesty - from all staff members with whom we had contact (especially Harry and John) were exemplary. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The condition of the vehicle on collection (inside and out) was first class, and the follow-up communications have been excellent. In summary a fantastic company to deal with, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone seeking to purchase a vehicle.

The price seemed to have gone up considerably since last year when I took my seat.

The service was carried out and seems fine.

Car was not hoovered as stated in the price.

We had a plan to change our car and we’re advised to look at the new deals by the sales team. Mr Harry Jackson detailed a new Arona which he felt would suit us, being automatic. Process is now complete and we are very happy with the whole interaction with the Dealership.

Unbelievably expensive. They wanted £114 for just a diagnostics test after some warning lights came on. My local garage did diagnostics for free and fixed the problem the same day. They are doing themselves no favours with prices like that.

Fantastic customer service from all involved in the purchase of my new car. The Manager John and Heather in particular were so helpful and guided me through the whole process with ease making it all round a great experience. Will be back for my next car 😊

Quick, efficient service and friendly staff

I had an utterly disastrous experience with this shambolic company. I needed a reliable Skoda for my work, so was delighted when I stumbled across a 2017 Fabia with a salesman, Alistair, who seemed initially genuinely helpful.
However, my experience of John Clark since agreeing to purchase said car has been unbelievably bad.
I agreed to the buy with the understanding that certain issues - highlighted by Alistair - would be fixed. This included some paintwork damage, while a fresh 12-month MOT with no advisories was also assured.
On the day I went to pick up the vehicle, the car was completely unaltered and the promises were unfulfilled. After multiple missed deadlines, I was promised that a paintwork specialist would come and see me but that never materialised.
I then discovered to my horror that the car had not had an MOT since February 2023, and when I insisted that this be updated, the car failed the test due to a potentially dangerous rear break issue. I ultimately told John Clark that they would have to fix all the problems by the time I came to pick it up or I would be returning it - the car was still undergoing work and not yet available upon my arrival.
When I confronted Alistair and his sales manager, they rolled out the metaphorical red carpet by inviting me into their ramshackle office and offering a cup of coffee. The big boss claimed ignorance of such works happening under his watch but at least had the good grace to feign sympathy. I have since returned the car for a full refund as it was within the 14-day returning period, causing major personal inconvenience and wasting two weeks of my time.
To summarise, I strongly recommend avoiding this sleazy and unprofessional place at all costs as it has been nothing but trouble for me.

Now on my 13th Skoda, all various models and even when there’s an issue which hasn’t been very often, the team don’t get annoyed and treat every call or query from start to end as if it was the 1st. Top marks

They should be recognised, all I ever hear when I’m in is pleasant customers and showroom is spotless and car is always returned washed and cleaned.

All the thing was not in the car as was mentioned on the site, such as pack of LED LIGHTS.

When I checked the car on the site, it said the car is coming with…

1. An extended 4 years/100,000 miles, and two years service plan, Which I did not receive any documents to prove it
2. A pack of LED LIGHTS
3. A spare back wiper

The above mentioned items where not in the car on the collection day.

I have contacted the sellers after the collection, he said that he will contact me back but, have not received any response yet.

They advertise a Black Skoda Kamiq MC for £27,000 on their website and on autotrader. I phone up to get a quote for finance, already aware of the 5.9% APR and £1250 VFS contribution. The salesman, Joe phones me back and says the deposit contribution was already deducted and the black paint has to be added to the cost, even though this car is advertised with black paint and as the price advertised says cash then the finance contribution would still need to come off the price.

How not to sell a car.

Update: The sales manager did contact me yesterday and thanked me for highlighting the issue that they had forgotten to add the price of the paint to their advertisment. This is the bit that makes no sense. The cash price is also the same price as if you took it on finance even though there is a finance deposit contribution of £1250. given my experience of taking out PCP on cars over the years, any PCP finance contribution is deducted from the cash price as the dealer gets commission from the finance company and the contribution is passed on to the customer. I can only conclude that the Skoda Dealership are keeping the contribution for themselves and not passing it on to the customer. I did contact Skoda UK CS but they said contact VFS? Clueless - DONT BUY SKODA

The experience was good, no pressure or hassle. The salesman was excellent and my deal was a fair one.

Our car was booked in for an MOT and CAM belt change on Wednesday 8th March. I dropped the car off just before 8am. I received a message with video letting me know the car had failed its MOT due to a broken spring. I agreed to have this replaced by Audi and was advised they would call me when the car was ready but expected it to be ready later that day. I received a phone call around 3 letting me know the car would not be ready till the next day as they had to get something from the Aberdeen branch. I did not get the car back until 3pm on Friday 10th after numerous delays. The service was shockingly poor and not what I expected from Audi. They finally brought our car back unwashed after asking if we would like it washed by an unapologetic driver. They only brought it back after we complained and were going to let us pick the car up on Saturday. Not the service I expected from Audi
