My English Cocker Spaniel was diagnosed with advanced Lymphoma on Dec 12th 2019. My vet did an urgent referral to Langford Small Animal Hospital. I was contacted in less than 24 hours to arrange an immediate appointment for assessment & possibly receive treatment. My fur baby underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy but sadly lost the battle. From 1st appointment to last appointment (She went to "The Big Kennel in The Sky on January 15th 2020), every member of staff were very friendly & very empathetic throughout.

This 'hospital' will take your (or your insurance's) money with ruthless efficiency. Do not expect postoperative support or compation. Our stoic gentle little cocker has never so much as growled at anyone so I'll snarl for her. She's had transcondular screws fitted to both elbows because she has fissures, over £5000 of treatment. She still gets pain and has other mobility problems our own (very compationate) vet believes is a knock on effect. On our vets advise I rang langford to get advice on possible physio, long term pain management and mobilization. After two phone calls someone did get back but he was curt to the point of rudeness. He wasn't interested in listening and talked over me asking 'what do you want from us' then said I needed a new referral. In otherwords start again from the beginning. Putting aside the lack of postoperative care/support necessary for effective recovery, this seems like a complete rip off. We have insurance for life but God help someone who doesn't. Discuss alternatives with your vet but avoid this place.
