Al een tijd wilde ik overstappen van tampons op een meer duurzame variant. Heb verschillende menstruatiecups gebruikt, maar ik kreeg het niet voor elkaar het goed in te brengen. De cup sprong maar niet open, erg vervelend en jammer.
Via Insta zag ik een reclame van Nixit voorbij komen waarbij er geen vacuum nodig is. Heb er één besteld en de eerste twee menstruaties bleef het lekken, ook deze kreeg ik er niet goed in. Op een site las ik de voor mij gouden tip: de disc met de opening naar de zijkant inbrengen en zodra het is ingebracht het recht draaien (met de opening omhoog). Daarna het uiteinde goed omhoog duwen en dan zit ie goed! Ik blijf wel last houden van 'autodump'. Iedere keer als ik naar de toilet ben gegaan, verlies ik een beetje bloed waardoor ik nog steeds inlegkruisjes moet gebruiken. Op mijn zware dagen moet ik halverwege de dag de disc legen, dat is wel een kliederboel. Een wc waar dichtbij een kraan is, is zeker aan te raden! Met alleen wc papier vind ik het niet te doen.
Verder is er weinig omkijken naar, wat erg prettig is! Ermee naar de sauna gaan en zwemmen durf ik niet vanwege de autodump na de toiletgang, dan doe ik nog wel een tampon erin.
Ben er aardig blij mee, het is een stuk vriendelijker dan een tampon, dat zuigt alles op waardoor het nogal droog kon worden.

I came across Nixit's menstrual disc after trying several other menstrual cups over the years (without success). I was feeling quite discouraged that menstrual cups didn't seem to work for me. After deciding to give the menstrual disc idea another go, I was shocked when it worked perfectly for me! Nixit has completely changed the way I think about my period- it's no longer something I'm even conscious of because it actually makes me forget I have my period! As an active person, I feel comfortable resuming my normal activities without the fear of leaks, need for tampons, etc. I also love that it's easy to use, eco-conscious, and sex-friendly. I tell everyone I know to try Nixit!

I was so dubious before buying this but it really is the best period product I've ever used! Took me a few uses to work out how to put in without leaking, but the videos on their Instagram/ Tiktok really helped and now I can happily put in at the start of my day and forget about it. I've worn for exercising, long days out and about and still can't feel it. Couldn't recommend more :)

Nixit changed the game completely for me and my periods! I used to have bad cramps and have to wake up throughout the night to change tampons and pads but not anymore! I can sleep peacefully and my cramps are basically nonexistent, the menstrual cup is a game changer! Super easy to insert and take out, as well as clean. 12/10

Only washing twice a day, self-emptying throughout the day, no leaks, no mess sex. This disc is the best thing to happen to periods!

Honestly, this product has changed my life. I dont have to think about periods ever again, its so easy to use, im not worried about the insertion or removal and it will last 5 years!

I’ve always been curious about menstrual cups and discs, and especially intrigued by the idea of creating less waste. I had actually purchased a cup from another very popular brand, but never ended up using it - the suction freaked me out and I was scared of not being able to remove it! After several friends recommended nixit, I took the plunge and my only regret is not doing it sooner.

I put it in on the first day of my cycle and that was it for me. I didn’t go back to tampons or pads once and didn’t have a single leak! It’s so comfortable, easy to insert (especially if you use the nixit lube for extra ease), and you literally cannot feel it once it’s in. If it wasn’t for cramps, I wouldn’t even know I had my period. Never in all my years of menstruating have I ever felt so comfortable during my period.

After having babies, I found that my anatomy and my flow changed a lot and tampons were much less comfortable now and leaked every single time, regardless of how frequently I changed them. I was very cautious when I first started using my nixit, wearing a pad as a backup, but by day 3, I was just using a light liner. Regardless, I never had a single leak! I was extremely impressed given that I had zero experience with reusable menstrual products like this and was expecting a bumpy transition.

I can’t stop bragging to everyone I know and will try to convert everyone.

I had been considering nixit for a long time before I finally made my purchase, and now am questioning why I waited so long! Seriously a period game changer!! There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, especially if you’ve never used a cup or disc before but once I figured it out it’s been so stress free and easy! Highly recommend!

It moves when you go to the bathroom it moves during the night and it moves if I am active during the day and once it moves it leaks. So it might be great if you sit all day and don't move around much but it did not work for my lifestyle I am so bummed because I love the concept and I wanted to love it.

Nixit is an amazing product that every lady should have their lives. The Nixit cup helps with my cramps so extremely well, along with you can wear it for so long without having to worry about any leaks, going over your time period, and you dont have to deal with any mess. This product is also amazing for the enviroment and since its reusable and washable it will last you sooo long and save you sooo much money!!!

After using a mentrual cup for 10 years, I had a baby and now I have a bladder prolapse (cystocele). My previous menstrual cups did not work anymore. I needed a cup that would sit higher (above prolapse) and have extra capacity for my heavy periods.

I read that menstrual discs worked well if you have a prolapse, but after testing it I can say it does not work well if you have a bladder prolapse because you can’t secure it behind the pubic bone (the prolapse is there).

It might work if you have a uterus prolapse, I am not sure.

Nixit looks amazing and really good quality. So disappointed that it doesn’t work for me.

If you have a bladder prolapse and are looking for a menstrual cup, the only one that has worked for me is a low cervix mentrual cup (Juju model 4).

Being able to take this product in the backcountry camping and not having to worry about extra garbage to carry has been a game changer for me.
