I don’t know how they got my information as I did not sign up for it, but discovered that they were taking money from my account and when I questioned it they then stopped. I am very puzzled by this company and how they accessed my information

Shocking, ripped me off hundreds of pounds and never received anything, by post or email or anything at all, they say that they contacted me 21 days prior to any money been taken but never received anything.

I have tried in several occasions to cancel this subscription and they still keep taking money from my account - I cannot cancel with the bank because payments are coming off my card so no direct debit to cancel - horrendous company - if anyone knows how I can cancel this subscription I would welcome assistance - they have taken nearly £400 to date - but what I was expecting when taking out a trial through QVC

Given one star as zero or minus is not an option. Taken payment from my 87 years old father's account and he has no idea how or why or what he's getting for his £24.99 ( IE nothing)
You need to refund the payment and stop taking his money.

Taken 2 payments unlawfully from my vulnerable dad's account. He has made no purchase with any subsidiary companies nor granted permission for any monies to be taken. Speaking to bank and police tomorrow as action fraud have suggested

DO NOT GET INVOLVED with these absolute rip off merchants!! Since April 2022 these fraudsters have been taking money out of my account (currently up to £310.00), the way it works is, they send you a letter saying they will send you a discount card for some gumph, I call them, wait an age to try and get through...if someone actually answers I CANCELL my 'account' but alas does NOT make a blind bit of difference as low and behold money gets taken out, a card arrives for some obscure discount on things I will never use even in my next lifetime!!!!
Just about at the end of my patience with these FRAUDSTERS!!!!!

Contacted in February by Ideal World advising me I qualified for a free gift and would be sent by post complimentary gift card value £20 for Sainsburys, when you try to redeem your told the cards not activated, also reductions for other Shopping Outlets,Restraunts,Golfing venues etc, in the small print it tells you after 21xdays you will be charged a Twelve Month Annual Fee currently at £104.94.
This is a complete CON Do not be fooled, If like me your from a working class background and on a fixed income then 5% off a Miller and Carter steak or a Golfing Break is little comfort.

This is a complete con they have took £115 out my account I didn't authorise this. I bought somthing from ideal world payed in 3 instalments then on Xmas day they take £90 refused to give me it back told me was a years su scription then today they took another £25 again I didn't authorise this so that £115 for nothing honestly I'm discussed always when there closed so I can't stop it. My lawyer was already onto the £90 wait till I tell him tomorrow another £25 pure con plz be very careful

Like others here my 79 year old mother you have tried to debit £104.94 from her account luckily bank has blocked but now her bank card has been blocked and no bank card, absolutely disgusting company she wanted to order new bedding now signed for things she didn't agree too.

Ideal world got a lot to answer for
My father who's 91years old was contacted re this card he told me the guy who spoke to him was talking so fast and he didn't understand it all
He has hearing problems too
Anyway was sent the card which I returned to lifestyle plus
But yesterday I noticed a pending card transaction £104 94
I promptly phone my bank to cancel transaction
I had closed the account with ideal world so they couldn't take payment from my card on the 2nd February but still they had my details to take payment 23rd February
I'm disgusted I pay for things off ideal world for my parents it saves them phoning and as they both have hearing problems it's easier they are not on the Internet
As the payment method is my card I didn't give lifestyle plus permission to take the payment and my parents wouldn't know my card details

Do not get involved with them unless you are willing to have money taken out of your account without express permission. You are automatically "upgraded to receive offers and promotions you didn't ask for or are remotely interested in"
They then debit your account without permission because you didn’t "cancel" in time.
This is all generated due their association with Ideal World shopping channel. So be aware. Offers you receive are not better than what you can get for free on Woucher or groupon.

When the guy rang me on the phone about this he said no money would be taken and never even mentioned a yearly subscription to be paid. I never once agreed for money to be taken out of my account. When I got the welcome pack still no mention of payments, Then boom last night they tried to take £104.94 out of my account, the bank has proceeded to block this transaction because they see it as a potential scam. I have emailed them that I don't want it and have it cancelled, and my money either returning or not being taken. Now i have to go through the hassle of getting my account unblocked because of this. Not impressed with aftersales

I received a renewal letter last week Jan 2023 from a Lifestyleplus.club saying happily “It’s time to renew your membership for £104.94!”. I realised something wasn’t quite right as I’d never heard of this company in my life!
It’s only going back through my bank statements I realise that all this was connected to a call I received in Jan 2022 when I bought some Ingenio pans from Ideal World. A few days after the purchase I got a cold call from someone at Ideal World asking if I would like to pay 98p to receive some discount vouchers. It was a firm “no” initially, but they were so insistent that I agreed, after all I thought it was only 98p, wasn’t it? BIG MISTAKE!
Naturally I rang them immediately to complain and got a lady in ‘Customer Service’ called Charlie, she said I had agreed to this! Was I going mad?! I had no recollection of this at all!
She said because I’d agreed to the 98p and gave a password, this confirmed the agreement! This Charlie went on to say that the letter they sent containing the vouchers contained a membership number and a letter with a cooling off period(?!) which I should have exercised! HUH?! How would I know there was cooling of period when I was never aware that I’d joined in the first place?!
The ‘letter’ containing what I assumed were the vouchers ended up in the bin so never opened it. After all I was told they were only vouchers that were being sent!
NOT ONCE did the cold caller mention any membership, subscription costs or the need to cancel anything at all on the call and I categorically NEVER agreed to any money to be taken from my account either. I thought I would be OK as I didn’t hand over any bank details to them, only to discover Ideal World had given them my bank details!!
I’ve now discovered they had taken £104.94 from my joint account. My husband takes care of this account and assumed this was my expense so never mentioned so I never saw it.
After Charlie, I demanded to speak to her manager and spoke to someone called Holly Wild who was utterly hopeless and unhelpful and kept on (and on and on and on) insisting that I had known about this membership all along and they were well with in the legal boundaries (skirting on the edge more like) and there was nothing that could be done. WOW I don’t how these women sleep at night working for this shifty company. I’ve since read reviews on these guys and it’s the same story every time - I feel sad because some of people they have scammed are OAPs. How can they do this so easily to innocent people and without any conscience?
There is hope though! If this is happening or has happened to you, you can make a chargeback (within 120 days). Anything over that you can make a claim with your bank / credit company for a claim under Section 75, you can make claim anytime within 6 years.
Hope you guys find this review useful, I thought I was scam-savvy, but I didn’t see this one coming! Companies like this do not belong in our society!
SCAM!!!! Like everyone here bought something from ideal world then got a phone call. I declined but advisor insisted no money would be taken from me. £104 has been taken out of my account without my consent!!! How are they allowed to carry on scamming people!

This is a con. I purchased an item off ideal world and shortly after received a call saying I was entitled to a dinning discount card. They said we have sent you a pack to look at the offers, and if I wanted to join I just had to call and set up the membership. The pack arrived and was put in the bin, 3 weeks later they tried to take £104 from my bank account. This was not agreed or authorised.
