I have been a patient at this clinic for at least 10 years, and I cannot express enough how much the osteopaths—Deluca, Chiara, and Yassein—have helped me. The massages here are truly high-quality too. Most importantly, every therapist really listens to you; they are precise, thorough, and generous with their time.
I looked into the press controversy from over a year ago, but I remain a loyal customer. Every single practitioner here is independent, works incredibly hard, and does everything they can to get you better as quickly as possible. If one person did something unacceptable, it doesn't mean the rest of the team should carry the blame. Again, I am still a patient here and will continue to recommend these current practitioners to any of my friends in pain who need professional, effective treatment. Just to mention, the ownership is changed and practitioners are still working under a massive strain from bad publicity.

This clinic is owned by a convicted sex offender Torben Hersborg. While he is no longer a director, a person with the same surname is. For at least 12 years this family profited from owing this clinic, and continue to do so, while Hersborg filmed innocent women in his treatment rooms and used the footage for his own fantasies. While he is in prison the clinic still operates, bringing in money to his family.

Old Street Osteopaths are in the relegation zone. An absolute tactical disaster.
Back in the day, a ticket to this clinic was £49.88 and you got a decent result. Now they’ve hiked the entry fee to £68.22 for a performance that firmly belongs in the Sunday leagues.
I walked in with a recurring tennis elbow injury. Instead of professional service, the defender at the front desk looked at my stats and actually barked, "Oh, you've been here before with that injury, we're not doing that again." Total amateur hour.
Worse still, the receptionist and the therapist were caught having a pre-match gossip before I even got on the pitch. The therapist walked into the room with a totally biased game plan, and the £68.22 treatment was completely ineffective—an absolute own goal.
Then there are their time-wasting tactics at the final whistle. They refuse to hand over your physical receipt so you can't claim it back. You have to stand your ground in the penalty box and demand they print it. Even then, they try to snatch the paper back out of your hands, pretending they need to "fold" it for you just to keep possession.
Their front-line staff were so incompetent that I had to take this absolute shocker of a performance to VAR (their Practice Manager). One look at the replay of their abysmal customer service, and the decision was immediately overturned, resulting in a full £68.22 refund.
Avoid this absolute shambles of an Osteopath!

I have been treated at this clinic for years. All of the osteopaths are incredible but especially Fabio an Chiara. The clinic is under new management after the old owner was removed.

When I was treated by Torben Hersborg, I did not know he was a convicted sex offender. His first conviction dates from 1995. His most recent conviction is for multiple sexual offences from 2012 to 2024. They include secretly filming women patients AT THIS CLINIC. Hersborg is currently serving a jail sentence. He still owns the clinic jointly with his wife; his wife and son are directors; the clinic website still bears his name. I have been visiting the clinic for more years than I care to remember. Whenever I need fixing, it’s my first port of call, and always guaranteed exceptional treatment and care. I genuinely cannot recommend the clinic highly enough. It deserves 6 stars.

I having been seeing Torben Hersbourg regularly over the past few months for problems with my knee.

Torben’s kind, warm, empathetic and gentle personality combined with his positive and caring attitude is a top combination. His treatment involves body manipulations which -rather like visit dentist- has the potential to be alarming and off putting but his straightforward and calm manner inspires trust and confidence. After each session my body feels lighter. Torben cares about my wellbeing and progress and always requests me to report back to him personally by phone after a session.

I particularly appreciate that Torben being an exceptionally fit man in his 60’s -still competing in judo at international level- gives it as read, that I as an older person who has always been fit, active and heathy need not settle for anything less than a complete recovery.

I'm a regular runner in my early sixties and felt in need of a tune up as part of my preparation for an upcoming half marathon. I'd been feeling a bit of heaviness in my left leg and given previous experience I thought it would be something that Torben could help with.

Booking was easy and Torben's always friendly and gives a good explanation of what he's about to do. After an initial assessment, Torben went to work and twenty minutes I could feel a positive improvement; evidenced by being able to reach closer to my toes and a lightness on my walk home.

Excellent for osteo and physio. I've been going for about four years. The whole team is very warm, polite and expert. Recommended for any aches and pains. Special thanks to Susannah.

I have been using the BSO in and off for a couple of years now they always help me enormously . my injury will always give me problems but the students and staff are always excellent .i have never left a session without ever feeling much better than when i arrived . i was there today and felt so much looser and pain free after my session and better in my mind as well the tutors are involved with every session and sometimes advise or help but in some cases they observe and ask questions and each student and tutor bring something different to the session .you get a good consultation at the first session so as the best treatment is worked out for you and the prices are so good so can afford to keep going if necessary. i have had treatments in a private clinic and a hospital which i found not as good as at this school and at several times the cost.
i sincerely recommend the BSO highly

Awful customer service, they don't care!

I called to book appointments in advance for my mother but they told me to come in to pay. I had to go during a break from work as I'm leaving on holiday the next day.

I came in and there was no one in the waiting area apart from a staff member who was sitting drinking coffee who saw me wondering around lost and they didn't not say anything. I asked them if they worked here and where the reception is and they seemed offended that I asked them. They told me to go there and wait which I politely obliged. I waited almost half an hour and I later came back to her and explained I was on break and couldn't wait any longer if it was possible to pay now and she responded so rudely. If she was not allowed to accept payment she could have simply said that!
Don't go here, I wouldn't send my mother here to be talked to like that.

Last week my GP sent me to A and E. I was in so much pain with my neck/head. I was given a cocktail of painkillers and advised to see a physiotherapist as the pain was muscular. Having been helped by Susannah previously for a frozen shoulder I knew where to go! Thankfully the online booking system meant I could secure an appointment quickly. After 3o mins with Susannah my solid neck was moving and by the next day the pain was almost all gone. No
More Codeine! A few days later and another 30 min appointment and I’m pain free. Can’t recommend her enough. She’s a genius!

I have had lower back pain for years and have tried various osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists but no-one has helped the pain like Torben has. I know that when I visit for a 20 minute session I can be confident I’ll be pain-free for months. I have recommended the clinic to lots of people!

Torben and the team are phenomenal! Whether dealing with an injury or helping to maintain wellness so that I can exercise the way I want and live pain-free, they never disappoint. Over the years I have relied on Torben and Susanna to treat a variety of different injuries and each intervention has resulted in no more pain.

Six weeks ago I suddenly got lower back pain so bad it was a considerable effort to put on jeans and boots. Turning over in bed was a major operation. I couldn't even walk briskly. I'm pretty fit because I bike to work, and though my back has hurt before, this was much worse.
After a few days of pain I booked a session with Chris Romero. I chose him because he is trained in osteopathy and physiotherapy. He showed me on a model spine where the problem was, and manipulated my back. Then he gave me three simple exercises to do, told me not to sit for longer than 30 minutes at a time, and advised me to get back on my bike as soon as possible.
Having hobbled in, I strode out. Although my back was still a bit tender, the acute pain had miraculously gone. The next day I was able to bike home. My back is very nearly normal now, and not bothering me. I think if I could have afforded more sessions with Chris, it would have cleared up faster. I am VERY impressed with the effectiveness of the treatment I received.
