Lookers Stafford Service department were initially really helpful.
It's a shame that the service department have completely negated my initial opinion by not replying to my email enquiries regarding the action that they took.

Even the complaints department who thank people on here for their feedback haven't been bothered to read their emails.

I won't be going back.

So we recently purchased a new bmw x1 from these!! Very very happy with the service!! We were assisted by Sharlene on sales and also Ed I’ve got to say they were amazing very helpful very professional and nothing was too much trouble!! We definitely will be purchasing from these guys again!

Another few days have passed still nothing disgraceful! Will keep posting until somebody contacts me to discuss. Further time has passed and still no contact absolutely disgraceful. A further week has passed and still no contact it’s now 2 months ago I complained!

Be careful they will try to keep your money! I had a deeply frustrating experience with BMW Stafford. My purchase didn’t go ahead, yet they have held onto my £500 deposit for over a month now. The lack of communication from the team, Toby and Georgia, who were handling my sale, has been extremely poor.

I now had to raise a dispute with my bank just to try and get my own deposit back. The bank confirmed no refund was received despite the dealership claiming they have issued a refund. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this stealership! It’s a complete waste of my time having to file a dispute and not a single apology!

Bought two new BMWs from Lookers Stafford and both were registered to the wrong addresses. Despite months of emails, the dealership never fixed the errors. Because of this, important DVLA and penalty notices went to strangers, and I only received them after they’d escalated to £108.50 per Dartford crossing and a £240 charge certificate.

I’ve now had to pay nearly £500 in avoidable fines purely due to Lookers’ administrative failures and lack of response. Really disappointing service — buyers should double-check everything, because the dealership certainly didn’t.

Absolutely appalling customer service experience. Have contacted Lookers Stafford 4 times in the past week asking to speak to a technician as my vehicle is going in next week for a recall and I wanted them to give an opinion on another issue prior to it going in. Each time got promised
someone would call back but a week later after several prompts and one staff member even emailing the service manager requesting a response. Still to no avail. So so poor !
Since this review i have forwarded my complaint with full details to BMW UK. They in turn have sent this through to Lookers Stafford. I can only assume that the reply from Lookers below has been sent through without them seeing the complaint. Hopefully they will catch up soon but I very much doubt it given my experience thus far!

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing Experience

My experience with Lookers BMW Stafford has been shocking from start to finish. It took eight phone calls just to place a deposit because the team repeatedly pushed BMW finance on us despite us having our own loan. We were also misled about the warranty; we were told it would be BMW but it turned out to be an RAC warranty that wasn’t even valid for the vehicle’s age.

When we collected the car, it was raining heavily and no effort was made to let us inspect it properly. Once the weather cleared, we discovered extensive poor paint repairs, overspray, and obvious attempts to hide damage—including key marks down both sides. This was never disclosed, and the car condition was completely misrepresented.

Communication has been terrible throughout, and since raising these issues, we have been ignored by the dealership. Overall, the service, transparency, and professionalism have been appalling. I would not recommend Lookers BMW Stafford to anyone.

15 Nov (Day 53) Buy elsewhere avoid a financially painful and stressful experience with the Lookers Group, who do not comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 core principles of 3 R’s (repair, replace, refund) however Lookers Stafford interpret the CRA to mean 3 D’s (deny, delay, discount).
Spent on a £54k approved used vehicle, within days reported a significant safety defect causing steering and drivetrain issues/ unsatisfactory quality. One failed repair and 41 days later Lookers Group offer to repurchase at 8.7% less than paid, without an acknowledgement of £2k spend on hire car costs etc. spent to keep me on the road, stating with a straight face this is a fair deal!!!

First class customer service from start to finish, what a difference it is buying a vehicle from a BMW showroom. Big shout out to Sharleen who looked after us, professional throughout, no pressure selling just good advice about the services and product offers they have. All went to plan with our purchase, the car was prepped to a high standard, would definitely recommend and if you call to view a car, ask for Sharleen she will look after you.
