Efficient service

Staff are always very friendly and helpful at Lookers. I was well looked after and fully updated with my cars progress whilst in the garage. Andy was particularly helpful and kind. Thank you.

Trying to find work on a mint condition, low mileage, 8500 miles car. Advising the car required 4 new tyres because they 4mm tread left - was a red alert lol. The legal limit is 1.6mm, so had over twice the legal limit left. Very dishonest and would never go back again!

Very keen to sell you a car but then totally ignore you once they have your money.

I purchased a vehicle from Lookers VW Guildford on the 30th June 2026 and shortly after this, I telephoned their aftersales and service department as I had a problem and I wanted their advice.
All of their service agents were busy but I was informed that I would be called back shortly.
This call back never happened.

I telephoned them again the next day and again, everyone was busy and I was promised a call back.
Again, this callback never happened.

I then sent a message via the "contact us" link on their website and this was also ignored.

After leaving details of this poor service on the reviews section of their website, I received a reply asking me to raise a complaint and giving me details of how to do this.
I duly submitted the complaint (ticket number 89730643) and received an automated reply stating that I would be contacted within 14 days to discuss my complaint.
Here we are, well over 14 days later and surprise surprise, nothing whatsoever heard from them.

By all means buy a car from them but make sure that you have another VW dealership close to where you live so that you don't have to attempt to contact Lookers VW Guildford for a resolution to any problems that you may encounter with your vehicle.

Staff provided excellent customer service going above and beyond. I was very happy with the deal I received and how everything was handled.

I purchased a Scirocco on 3rd June 2026. Once I purchased the car I was ignored by the salesperson.
I had a fault and he totally ignored me. A simple “ that’s not my department would have been suffice.
I then had further faults on 14th July.
I really wished I’d not bought the car from Preston VW as I live in Crewe which is over an hour away.
When my car was showing faults I had a VW technician come out and he said to take it to the Crewe VW Dealership which they agreed it had faults, however I was required and responsible to bring the car back to Preston.
The car is still in the workshop. My son who is a qualified Mercedes Technician is handling the the phone calls etc. He is now being ignored.
The car I bought came with a 90 day warranty in which over three weeks of this has been in the garage.

Never again will I use Lookers especially Preston as totally let down.
I thought getting a car from a main dealer would be the best thing to do with a 2nd hand vehicle.

I am now concerned that I have no warranty left.

From the moment we walked in the show room every one was very help full and polite,
Martin Blight showed us the car and let us have a test drive. We decide to buy the car and the process was vary easy. Martine explained everything to us clearly . Thank you Martin,

Overall, I was happy with the actual convenience check on the car, but I got a text when this had finished and then had to wait an entire hour for my car to be cleaned and for me to get my keys back, This is far too long to wait for a wash and a little hoover. Perhaps the wash should be optional or certainly much quicker.

Excellent Customer Service
I went into Lookers Ford to purchase a second hand Ford Puma Gen-E recently. The sales executive Harry Alexander was excellent. Polite/professional and incredibly patient. He answered all of my questions and ensured I was comfortable with all of the new car features before I drove away. I would definitely recommend Harry and Lookers Ford Chelmsford to anyone wishing to purchase a used car.

A brilliant car, they were able to work with me to meet my requirements. Very happy with the purchase and service recieved from Scott. Helpful and friendly!

SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE I just bought a new Lexus RZ Premium Plus from James Child, Lexus Belfast. He made the purchase so easy and was always on call when I needed advice or if I didn't understand anything. This is my first time purchasing an EV, and James guided me through what to do when charging the car and the best way to drive the car economically. I am 71 and have driven and owned many cars over the years, from Volkswagen Polos to Golfs and then onto many new Audi A4 and A5s but about 15 years ago, I changed to the Lexus Brand and I have never looked back.
My first Lexus IS from Lexus Edinburgh.....was a Takumi and it had all the bells and whistles and had the excellent Mark Levinson Sound System (if you have never heard this system, you need to ask for a test drive in a Lexus with this system included...absolutely awesome)
My last Lexus was the fabulous Lexus ES, and it was a dream of a car, and I kept it for over 7 years and NEVER gave me a spot of Trouble...but none of my 4 Lexus cars ever gave me any problems, which is one of the main reasons I purchased this new Lexus RZ Premium Plus 2026 edition, plus I wanted to move to Electric.
I have only had the car for a week, but it is getting 4.2Kwh a mile, which translates to around 356 miles on a full charge. I also charged it last night via the Lexus Link+, which is so easy to use. I went from 10% to 82% (the optimum is to keep the battery at around 80% and only charge it to 100% for very long journeys), and it took around 8 hours on my Lexus Charger (special deal at around £390 for purchase and installation). I have worked out that it has cost me around £10.92 (Off Peak Economy 7 tariff), plus I reckon that would mean roughly 2 charges a month, or maybe less, depending on my usage.
In my previous Lexus ES, which was a hybrid and very economical at around 46miles per gallon, and that averaged £56 to £63 to fill. So you can see the savings already.
So I can thoroughly recommend Lexus Belfast and especially James Child. Also special mention to Nathan (who looked after me while James was on holiday for a week) and to their boss Darren, who was Superb.

The sales Team, in particular Matthew, are extremely professional and make a huge difference to the car buying experience.
Matthew has shown us that he is dedicated to customer satisfaction above and beyond what is norm at a car dealership.

On the day we collected the vehicle we dealt with Richard Simpson who went through the various paperwork and took the time to explain how things worked on the vehicle.

Both very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We can recommend and will definitely use again.

The staff were extremely helpful and they took their time to explain all the instructions for the new car and explained the items that were new to us. The hospitality and coffee in their luxurious office was first class. The showroom was well organised and tidy and everything was spotless and bright.
