A repeat visit for me. I trust the people here to look after me when I purchase and afterwards. Chloe and Alan looked after me this time. A pleasure to do business with.

The gentleman who saw us, Riahd, was friendly, informative, knowledgeable and extremely helpful

Polite and courteous listened what issues I had with the vehicle explained what action they would take and kept me informed as work progressed

From start to finish the process was made simple and easy , nothing was to much trouble for all of the staff , Joe my salesman went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and valued as a customer. Made getting my first electric vehicle easy and spent time to explain everything until I was happy

The man that worked at lookers who helped me with purchasing my motorbilty car was very friendly and helpful.
Even to the point of picking me up and taking me back to the dealership. Nothing was too much trouble.

AVOID AVOID AVOID – DISHONEST, INCOMPETENT, NEGLIGENT.

Lookers Ford Transit Colchester knowingly sold a vehicle that should not have been released for sale. The appropriately named Hak, acknowledged that they knowingly sold and delivered a vehicle without proper preparation.

Ross, in his sales video, claimed the vehicle ‘looks 1million dollars’ despite everything below.

6 months on and the issue was still not resolved until Hak disappeared from the Lookers staff and I was able to get a full refund for the vehicle; I am still over £3,000 out of pocket.

Initially, a fault was reported and inspected by another local Lookers branch, this highlighted that the brakes and discs were worn to a point that they required replacement, Lookers Colchester attempted to claim that I was incorrect, providing their Lookers Prep Specification, and in doing so highlighted that they had not carried out preparation in accordance with the Lookers Specification.

The vehicle was delivered with:
• An error/fault with the start/stop functionality of the vehicle.
• Front pads being worn to 70% or in excess, which are recommended for replacement at that point in accordance with the Lookers Approved Used Car Prep Standards.
• With the above indication of break wear, the front discs were reported to be corroded. The wear was indicated and recommendation for replacement received by a different Lookers branch. Selling an unsafe vehicle.
• Wiper blades smearing/worn.

Further review of the Lookers Approved Used Car Prep revealed that full preparation of the vehicle had not been carried out per their own standards.
Damage pointed out by the Lookers sales representative on video communications and reports had not been addressed as requested and agreed, or in accordance with the Lookers Approved Used Car Prep Standards document. These are listed below.

• Alloy wheels - Were not free of damage or corrosion.
• Dents – Dents remain on the bodywork.
• Surface Scratches – Surface scratches to the bodywork on most panels and don’t appear to have been polished out. These were pointed out on video communication.
• Doors, Roof, Bonnet and Tailgate – Several significant dents and scratches all over the roof, as well as damage caused by the roof rack which is showing signs of rust.
• Wheel Arch Liner – The wheel arch liner to the passenger front is cracked and held together with a screw. Fog light access panel missing.
• Headlight Bulb Cover Retaining Clip – Missing on the offside.
• Damaged Wing Mirror – Casing cracked, not working.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue with little to no meaningful communication and considering the above, I had no choice but to reject the vehicle; no surprise this finally prompted a response.

Further Faults Present
• The vehicle cruise control is malfunctioning, reporting a fault, disengaging, failing to reinstate, at the same time the glow plug light flashing.
• Assist systems malfunctioning, not operational.
• Glow plug light flashing intermittently throughout the journey, resulting in intermittent loss of power.
• Oil temperature sensor malfunction, sporadically and constantly moving from circa 70 degrees to 110 degrees on the digital sensor.
• The rear tailgate continually reporting it is not closed, despite it being.
• Start/stop issue not resolved.

V5 Errors
Misspelled details on the V5 and despite moths of trying to resolve, this is not. Hak simply ignores emails.

Having reported these faults further to the ones above, Hak acknowledged they knowingly sold the vehicle without prep.

Following this, I contacted Lookers complaints who simply shrug off the issues and refuse to assist in assessing options for alternatives.

As a result of their breach of terms and their dishonesty, I have suffered considerable loss and expense, for which Lookers appear not to care.

I found the Transit Custom to my specification and negotiated some extras with Josh and received a better deal than the previous main dealer I went to without the extras.

Ben was Great, Knowledgable & Helpful the only thing was he had promised that the New Car could have plus three weeks of tax but then said we couldn’t when we were at the dealership, where an admin assistant who registers & taxes the new cars said her system don’t give her the option
