Well worth the money
It's always painful to spend looking after your car but in the case of Lookers you really do get what you pay for. A nice bright welcoming environment is the start of it with great service from polite and friendly staff (plus free tea and coffee). All the work was agreed before starting and it was all carried out in a nice timely manner.

Service! You must be Joking.
My wife and I purchased my 2025 XC40 from Lookers Chelmsford. We then moved away and eventually booked a service at Lookers Colchester. We decided after booking that we would like dash cams fitted front and rear at the time of servicing. We altered the booking to include the dash cams and twice requested the price. We never received a reply. I then phoned again and got through to reception who just wanted to put me through to the same people again. At this point I gave up. I had a Honda before this, I think I will go back to them when the three years are up.

Never trust a salesman
After seeing my perfect car on auto trader
I made an initial enquiry, I asked a few simple questions, I was sent a video walk round of the car, I then questioned the headlights as one appeared not as bright as the other. The salesman assured me it was just the video, and they were definitely the same,
Stupidly I trusted the salesman and bought the car
He also said I've put you some fuel in it (£40)
I was then charged for this on the invoice??
When the car was delivered it was empty of fuel and there is a fault with the headlight, also within the first 2 days of owning the car an engine management light has come on,
I think I will be returning the car under the distance selling laws,
We will see how that goes ???
Update made an official complaint as per the reply posted here....
And rang customer service
Still no reply or any communication!!!!

Still no joy official complaints procedure still hasn't responded,
Can't get in touch will anyone other than the sales manager
Sent 5 emails regarding refund of warranty work which was agreed, no reply, no refund ????

Very easy to change my Volvo at…
Very easy to change my Volvo at Lookers, existing vehicle (V60) taken in part exchange for the price I was expecting for an XC 90.
Sales person that I dealt with (Mark) very courteous, polite and helpful.
The replacement vehicle immaculately valeted and after going through an inspection in the workshop a couple of issues (tyres, brake pads etc) replaced.
This is the 3rd time I have purchased vehicle from Lookers in Colchester and have no hesitation about returning there in the future.

I was quoted 3 prices by Lookers …
I was quoted 3 prices for job so pricing wasn't transparent. I was left feeling that the staff were doing me a great favour by working on my car. I was told that if I didn't have extra work done my car could catch fire. I had second opinion that said work wasn't required. Wouldn't recommend.

My visit to the service department recently was again excellent thanks to Rachel and Stuart, had to wait for a part but i was informed regularly of progress and as always treated like a valued customer every step of the way. Even when it came to pay i think they did there best to keep the cost down for me.

V40 service and MOT
Just had my V40 serviced and MOT’d at Lookers Colchester. Quite a pleasant experience.
The fact that I pay monthly means that my bill in a December is very modest. It helps that the car itself is a robust and reliable little girl so what used to be a nail biting experience is now a relaxed experience from when it was collected from my home and delivered back within the time they promised.
Only speak to the service department on the phone but they are always helpful and cheerful.
Nothing negative to say and a clean bill of health for another year.
