Refused to replace middle bridge under warranty. My 4th and last pair I will ever purchase or recommend. Typical corporate crap company.

Used to love maui jim, got multiple shades repaired and they always just charged for lenses now recently the middle bridge breaks really easily and they charge $40 to fix that and refuse to cover for warranty. Their customer service guy was rude and unhelpful. 10+ years and over 30 pairs bought and now they decide to stop caring smh.

I love Maui Jim sunglasses, and don’t wear any others (shame you can’t find them on the high street too often these days, but that’s by the bye). On a recent holiday I was in a jeep which banked hard, and I clattered into another poor soul. A temple of my Banyans snapped. Hubby found the MJ repairs site and hey presto, my repaired glasses are on their way back to me. All for just £12! A new pair would be between £160 and £200. What’s not to love? Thank you MJ for such swift, easy service. Definitely recommend!

I love my Maui Jim sunglasses.. how they enhance the azure blue of the sea, while on holiday, is breathtakingly beautiful.. after a recent holiday to the Maldives, the glasses made my memories more vivid. But I scratched them… so… asked for a repair.

I've been a long-time fan of Maui Jim sunglasses, appreciating their quality and craftsmanship. However, my recent experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite taking great care of my sunglasses, one of the lenses cracked under normal use. Even the specialty glasses shop where I bought them confirmed that it was a non-provoked damage.

Unfortunately, Maui Jim refused to honor the warranty for the broken lenses, claiming it was outside their coverage. The customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful, and it felt like they were simply reading off a script instead of addressing my concerns.

What truly baffles me is that a brand priding itself on quality and customer satisfaction failed to deliver on either front. The refusal to cover what is clearly a manufacturing defect has shattered my confidence in Maui Jim.

I would caution potential buyers to consider other options if you're looking for a pair of sunglasses that come with reliable customer service and warranty protection.

Over the years I have owned many different high end sunglasses : Ray Ban, Oakley, Dior, Chanel, Bvlgari, Gucci to name but a few. I thought I had found my all time favourite in a pair of polarised Tiffany sunglasses and was gutted when they broke. Having searched around I came upon Maui Jim's Ocean glasses and I am now glad my Tiffany's broke! I have the Ocean in Tortoise & Raspberry and the Maui Rose lens is the best I have ever come across. The clarity and contrast is amazing. The frame is amazingly light and comfortable and they came with a foldable case. They look stylish and I really can't fault them. I can't imagine wearing another brand now.

they only get 1 star because I had to I sent 2 pairs back to have lenses repaired or replaced I have no problem paying what ever I loved the glasses , never got them back never nothing , so I have another pair I want to get new lenses so I ask can I purchase them they say no send glasses back .... no thanks , so if you are looking for a company who you want to wear there gear forever like I was I bought the first pair on the boat docks of Hawaii sorry I will shop else were there are to many brands they give and have customer service now more wasteing my money and not returning my glasses no service no way no excuses this company takes advantage of being on the island and terrible customer service a big bully company and look elsewhere if you are considering making the investment on a good pair of gasses not a cheap no coustomer serve so if you wear there garbage know you are wearing nothing to be proud of in my opinion and spread the word as I will on every platform aviialible .....

Amazing product and fantastic customisation. Very intricate decision making about lenses, colour, materials. HOWEVER, the website appears to have taken a sudden downturn! Please reinstate the old website! Much more informative on a product by product basis.

The company makes it hard to return or exchange even though it's their lenses that scratch so easily. You can see this common complaint even on their "highest scratch-resistant option" sunglass on their website called the Makoa. You are also better off going to Sunglass Hut and having a sunglass product trained rep give you exactly what you need regardless of brand. I told the untrained Maui Jim web chat agent what I needed and ended up getting sunburns all across the sides of my eyes due to their ill-advised recommendation. Later on, I finally drove far to Sunglass Hut to get better support before I would go blind as a professional driver and they gave me the exact sunglass that went on to protect me. Maui Jim then would not take their easily scratched glass back as Jake D's review mentions. This was a $300 mistake that I can't even get a partial refund for and it all started with shopping on the Maui Jim website instead of going into to a Sunglass Hut to speak with an expert. Own both polycarbonate and glass lens model Maui’s and both are a so called bronze tint and rather different. The polycarbonate lens is a really dull not to be used on variable cloudy days and is really depressing to look through. The Mixed Plate glass lens isn’t much better either and has a tri colour cast on the surface of the lens clearly visible in good light. Performance is a really poor second to Serengeti Alray for the glass lens and the same for Serengetis plastic Linosa which beats anything from Maui Jim’s polycarbonate stable hands down. Brilliant advertising from the Maui camp is what Serengeti can’t match. It’s all a massive hype when it all comes down to it but don’t be taken in. Try before you buy.

I bought a pair of Maui Jim frameless sunglasses many years ago in the UK. I remember thinking they were quite expensive, but now I know they were worth every penny. I found other sunglasses very uncomfortable and heavy, so I never used any other sine, but this pair. A few weeks ago, while on business trip in the US, the glasses fell off my face because one lens got detached. I tried to have them repaired at serval opticians, but with no luck. Eventually it occurred to me to look at the company’s website, which I did and got in touch with customer service. I was advised to send the glasses for a repair (free, with potentially minimal administrative charges). The customer service has been excellent. I got a response to my first email immediately, during weekend. When I posted the glasses, I got receipt confirmation within 2 days. I was just informed, not even the whole week later, that the glasses have been repaired and are on the way back, with tracking number provided. I also received an invoice with £0 to pay, which make me feel a little guilty. I doubt I would ever consider any other make. Before I bought this pair of glasses I tired many brands and never persevered with any of them more than one season.

Amazing quality glasses..once you wear them you will not buy anything else.. follow up when I had an issue was outstanding ..seriously I will never go else where for my sunglasses and now my wife has a pair ... very very good company and after sales service ..

This is the best customer service I ever received. They go a long to help the customer. I bought a pair 4 months ago and had it stolen yesterday, well guess what they offered a discount for a new pair...Still amazed by the quality of their sunglasses and top class customer service. Now that's customer retention guaranteed!

Requested to repair my Maui Jim sunglasses at UK Guildford service as one of my temple was broken. They communicated very well. Made it look like new sunglasses, with original parts and even gave nice Maui Jim case. This extra mile customer service is 6 star customer service.

I sent off my MJ Kahuna sunglasses with a cracked lens and missing nose pad to the MJ Customer Care Center UK . The team acknowledged receipt and quoted for the repair of one lens and the free replacement of both nose pads, at a very reasonable cost. After 10 days my MJ's arrived as new, saving me a packet. A great service from a helpful team. Would buy MJ's again based on this experience.

Will not replace Rx lenses of a specific discontinued color frame (gloss black) because they lump lenses in with frame ‘parts’, claiming ‘if only your frames were a current color’, making no sense at all, causing me to toss &2500 worth (4 pair away)! Losing a quarter century + loyal customer to competitors, which they ha e PLENTY of, unlike Porsche & what they’d like you to believe, there IS a substitute!

I have been wearing the Maui Jim beaches blue for some time. 3 years to be precise. Within a little over 2 years one of the frame screws (the ones which are up side down) came out resulting in the frame to open up and I didn’t realise until the glass came out. That’s when I noticed the screw is missing. I managed to fix it with a screw that fit and it never came off. It’s an aftermarket screw which seems to be doing a better job than the oem upside down screws as I now keep an eye out to make sure the other side doesn’t fall off. I noticed the other side keeps getting loose and I have to tighten it every time I wear it because I am scared that the other one may also fall off putting me in a position where I have to stop wearing the glasses. I paid $430 CAD for the pair and seems like this is a manufacturing defect. Now there are parts of the frame where the paint is chipping off (end of temple where it bends and touches the skin behind the ear) and is hurting. Unfortunately for me all of these started after the warranty period for the glasses got over. I am just reaching out over here to under If there is a way Maui Jim can help me out without me spending a whole bunch of money on repairs.

I stepped on my Maui Jim’s coming back from holiday in the airport car park - they fell off my head on to the tarmac..!! I was raging, and expected another £160 to replace them! Contacted MJ who told me to send the shrapnel in for assessment, which I did.
For £12 or so, the glasses were sent back, promptly, as new. Superb customer service and highly recommended. I won’t be buying anything other than MJ in any future purchase, and recommend MJ to friends and family whenever the conversation comes round to sunglasses.

After snapping the left hand arm of my wife's sunglasses Maui Jim's repair team effected a swift repair. Even though they were well out of warranty Tony replaced both arms and nose pads and also included a brand new soft case. We experienced an unbelievable level of customer service on this occasion for which we are most grateful. A rare thing indeed these days. Thank you very much.

Maui Jim sunglasses are made very well of high-quality Materials.
I have owned several pairs and would encourage people to look into their special additions and releases. They have some that are in support of European football/soccer teams. Also, they have the best polarized lenses on the market. I live here on Maui and I wouldn’t wear anything else. One of the toughest things about living on island is when you forget your Maui Jim Sunglasses as you head out the door, No better reason to have a second pair in your glove box. Aloha
