I moved with this company twice--learn from my mistakes! The first time, they destroyed my kitchen island, and the movers were horrible. When I spoke with my sales rep, Chris, he told me the owner, Semen, promised "a white glove treatment" due to the poor service.

On the 2nd move, it was worse than the first. It took over 3 WEEKS TO GET MY BELONGINGS. My belongings went from p/u at Franklin, TN, to Indiana, then to Georgia, and finally to Frisco, TX. Many broken items and extra charges. I paid this company $7k on the first move and $8k for the 2nd move. I was told I would get a refund, but don't think this will happen.

Do not trust anyone from this company

Do not trust anyone from this company - their mover stole my identity, credit cards, tech, and broke tons of my stuff including my piano. Now no one from Mayzlin will respond to my many emails, and their offers of “compensation” sent without comment through a portal are insulting. After thousands of dollars of stolen and broken items, they offered me FIFTY SEVEN DOLLARS. They hire random people to pack and move apparently without proper vetting as one of the two movers in my home opened my packed, zipped carryon suitcase that I was carrying with me and was not being moved and stole my AirPods, multiple designer wallets, cash, credit cards, folder of sensitive documents including my social security card, and more. He immediately started using my credit cards at smoke shops and the AirPods pinged at a meth rehab facility for the next week. I got security footage from one smoke shop and confirmed with our building’s cameras that it was the Mayzlin mover. The only thing more shocking than the brazen theft was the lack of care or even response from Mayzlin.

The Mayzlin rep we had scheduled through refused to give us contact information for anyone else at the company, promising he was a manager and could personally get us proper compensation. He promised via text to reimburse us for the stolen items and costs to replace my identity documents, saying we needed to submit a claim after we received our moved items.

Our stuff arrived weeks later in horrible condition. Boxes packed with glass, antique crystal dishes thrown in with metal objects with no paper or bubble wrap were shattered everywhere. My husband’s suits were crumpled in the bottom of a box under shoes. My leather shoes were thrown in a giant box with heavy items on top and are ruined. My very expensive keyboard (piano) was smashed and half the keys are broken. Clear packing tape was used directly on our wood furniture, completely ruining multiple tables and chairs. Thousands and thousands of dollars of damage that was from extremely reckless packaging. Truly shocking how little care went into packaging when we paid for a full-service packing and move. We of course submitted a claim, detailing in essay-length the damage and stolen items and documenting the manager’s “promise.” I specifically asked someone to please reach out to me. Instead we got an offer of $57. Now, this “manager” seemingly no longer works for Mayzlin as he won’t respond, and my many emails have gone without a single response. The audacity of this company to never once speak to me after causing massive financial loss and extreme stress from my identity being stolen and placing irreplaceable sensitive documents in the hands of a criminal is astounding. Never have I felt so disregarded by a company. I’ll update this review if I ever receive appropriate compensation, though that won’t protect others from their negligent hiring practices and apparently poor training for how to pack fragile items.

Mayzlin is MIA with my household

I hired this company to move my household from California to Georgia. At first they seemed professional and affordable. They intentionally low balled my quote, which rose exponentially from $6,000 to $15,000. I was living in a military base, which I told them several times they would need movers who could pass a background check. The first team had 2 people fail the background check. They rescheduled us for several days later and 1 person failed. My husband helped the other 2 guys load the truck, which was actually an Enterprise rental, and once it was loaded they told us they needed more money. This is when it shot up to $15,000. When we tried to work with them for a more reasonable amount they would "talk to a manager" and take several hours or a day to call us back. We were never able to speak with a supervisor.

We told them several times that we needed the household delivered immediately. When the day came that we scheduled to have the household delivered I was informed that it was in storage, even though I said to not store anything and to deliver immediately. Nobody could tell me why it was in storage and again I was not able to speak with a supervisor. I call everyday and am sent to a voicemail. I had one person call me back who couldn't tell me where my stuff was or when it was getting delivered. I have been calling for days and no one is answering the phone.

This has been the worst moving experience and I'm in shock of how unprofessional this company is. I still have no idea where my stuff is or when it is getting here. I would suggest renting a truck and moving on your own over hiring this company. This should be illegal.

Having relocated 14 times throughout my life, including five cross-state moves, I have extensive experience working with moving companies. Unfortunately, my experience with Mayzlin Relocation LLC was by far the worst I have encountered.
Moving is inherently stressful, whether it is across town or across the country. Rather than reducing that stress, Mayzlin significantly added to it through poor communication, lack of organization, delayed delivery, damaged belongings, and unprofessional service.
Our household goods were delivered approximately a week and a half later than scheduled. While frustrating, the delay ultimately became one of the less significant issues we experienced.
On delivery day, the crew consisted of the company driver and two local individuals hired to assist with unloading. Mayzlin advertises disassembly and reassembly services. While our beds and cribs were disassembled before transport, the company representative asked me how to reassemble them upon delivery. More concerning, the cribs were reassembled improperly, with screws left protruding and other screws completely missing. Given that these cribs were for our young children, this created a serious safety concern and required me to disassemble and reassemble them myself.
The most troubling aspect of the move was the extensive damage to our belongings. Having completed numerous long-distance moves, I understand that occasional damage can occur during transit. However, I have never seen such a large number of crushed boxes, broken items, and damaged possessions. The volume of damage was far beyond what would be considered normal or acceptable.
When the driver presented the delivery paperwork, I declined to sign because it stated that all items had been delivered in good condition. After I informed him that I had documented the damage with photographs, he required me to walk through the shipment and identify damaged items while he took photographs for the company. During this process, he opened boxes and handled our belongings carelessly. His demeanor throughout the interaction was rude and unprofessional.
The claims process was equally disappointing. Mayzlin uses CSI Claims, a third-party claims administrator retained by the company. After weeks of waiting and only shortly before the claims deadline, we finally received a settlement offer. Despite the extent of the documented damage, the proposed compensation was just $120.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience in hopes of helping others avoid the same frustration, stress, and financial loss. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mayzlin Relocation LLC and would strongly encourage anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.

Late, damaged, and horrible customer service

Mayzlin took 3 weeks to deliver my belongings. They sat in a warehouse for two weeks after pickup before they were even loaded onto a truck to send to my new apartment. They customer service was incredibly hard to get through to.

Then, when my belongings did arrive, they were damaged and my queen bed headboard was MISSING. They lost the largest possible item. However, when I tried to file a claim for lost and damaged goods, it took them 5 months to reply that "no notations regarding this item were taken at time of delivery" despite the fact they made me sign the delivery form BEFORE they even started unloading.

This company is one of the worst moving companies I've seen. Do not count on seeing your belongings for weeks (if you see them at all), do not count on them arriving in one piece, and do not count on Mayzlin giving you the time of day if you try to rectify any of their negligence.

Avoid Mayzlin Relocation LLC if you value your belongings and your peace of mind.

We paid approximately $11,000 for an interstate move, including their professional packing service. Unfortunately, the service we received fell far below what was promised.

Our shipment was delivered late, numerous items were damaged, and several valuable belongings never arrived at all. Damaged items included tables and multiple smashed vases. Missing items included a brand-new KitchenAid appliance and my personalized snowboard, both of which were valuable and irreplaceable to us.

What makes this even more frustrating is that we paid extra for professional packing, yet it appeared that many items had simply been thrown into boxes with little care or protection. The damage we experienced was entirely consistent with poor packing and handling.

Communication was also extremely poor. Once the company had received our money, it became very difficult to get updates or meaningful responses. We were often left chasing information about our shipment and claim, with little or no proactive communication from Mayzlin Relocation.

To add insult to injury, after waiting more than five months for our claim to be reviewed, Mayzlin Relocation offered just $304 in compensation. After spending $11,000 on the move and suffering the loss and damage of numerous items, this amount does not come close to reflecting the actual losses incurred.

The entire process was stressful, disappointing, and time-consuming. We trusted this company with our possessions and received late delivery, damaged goods, missing items, poor packing, little communication, and what we feel was a wholly inadequate resolution.

Based on our experience, I would never use Mayzlin Relocation LLC again and would strongly advise others to carefully research alternative moving companies before making a decision.

Horrific

Horrific! The worst moving experience I’ve ever had. I like to move and this by far was the worse experience. First of all the man that showed up treated me the entire time like a second clss citizen for being a woman. The helper didn’t even work for the company! Just someone that the mover knew.
I have never had so much stuff broken in all of my moves. It was horrible. I have heirloom antiques that were damaged. In the move in my walls were damaged. I finally was able to get a hold of someone to tell them an entire case of wine was missing.
Do you think anyone reached back out? Nope! Disgusting!!! Stay far away from this company!!!!

Damaged Goods, Useless Claims Process, and Zero Accountability

I hired Mayzlin Relocation expecting a professional moving experience. What I got instead was damaged furniture, a broken claims process, and a company that made it virtually impossible to recover anything for the losses they caused.
Several items arrived damaged — broken furniture, broken mirror, and boxes that were clearly mishandled despite being properly labeled "fragile." The damage was obvious and significant, not the kind of minor scuff you might expect from a long-distance move.
The real nightmare began when I tried to file a claim. The process was confusing, poorly communicated, and seemingly designed to exhaust the customer rather than resolve anything fairly. Timelines were vague, follow-up was minimal, and responses from their team were slow and unhelpful.
The most infuriating part? When I attempted to dispute the outcome, I was told I needed to provide documentation that was simply impossible to substantiate after the fact. Photos, estimates, original receipts for items years old — the burden of proof placed entirely on me, with no acknowledgment of their crew's role in the damage. There is no reasonable mechanism for a customer to "prove" damage that occurred entirely in their possession and care.
Mayzlin may look legitimate on paper, but their accountability ends the moment your belongings leave their truck. If you value your furniture, your time, or your sanity — look elsewhere.

Couldn’t agree more with most of the…

Couldn’t agree more with most of the reviews…bait and switch on pricing…low ball the estimate then on a quality control call claim the estimate is wrong…jack the prices way up…ours almost doubled. Over promise and under deliver on timing of delivery, don’t care if the reps promise one thing but they deliver another. Claim professional packers, quote a price, end up with ruined business clothes, lots of broken things, things just thrown in a box (business clothes packed with kitchen supplies). Claims their professional packers made professional decisions. Horrible experience and no one at this company cares.

Stay Far Far Away from this Company

3 weeks before our move with Mayzlin Relocation we found another moving company. The company makes it very difficult to cancel, with the contract stating that "Customer must verify that the cancellation notice has been received for a complete refund of prepaid deposits" which means once you email asking to cancel, they need to call you back and confirm verbally, AND they need to send you a "refund form" you need to sign and send back. They said it would take 7-10 business days. I spoke to Joseph who would not let up and asked over and over again why we went with another company stating "we are entitled to know why" and that "it is odd to cancel". He then sent in a text message: "Thought you said you were going to let us know who you went with. Hopefully wasn't some scam broker like [customer name] was talking to originally". When I texted back and just asked for the confirmation he texted back "You got the verbal commitment 3 different times now, stop acting like we're trying to keep your money I can guarantee you we're not. Now if you don't mind letting us know who you went with that would be great." When I thanked him for putting it in writing he said via text "You bet! now are you going to tell us who you miraculously chose over us 3 weeks later...." I've never encountered such unprofessionalism and rudeness from a company, moving or otherwise. Why we're cancelling and who we're going with and when it's well within their timeline is none of their business and to hold our money hostage or try to keep us on the phone until we answer is absolutely ridiculous. The company reeks of entitlement and desperation. And knows nothing about customer service. Stay far far away from this company.

This was the WORST moving experience of…

This was the WORST moving experience of my life (I have lived in five states and six cities). I have never written a negative review because I genuinely have never cared enough to write one, but this was the most poorly executed move I have ever experienced. From start to finish, they blatantly lied about timing. We didn't receive our belongings for THREE WEEKS. Every time we called regarding its whereabouts, their response was evasive and misleading. Then, when we finally received our belongings, they lost our office chair and broke nearly every single fragile, valuable item we owned, despite having clearly placed numerous FRAGILE stickers all over the cardboard boxes and having diligently wrapped them in bubble wrap prior to Mayzlin picking up the belongings. It also ended up costing nearly $600 more than the estimate because of the distance between the truck to our front door, which was NOT brought to my attention prior to signing the estimate. Truly the worst experience I have ever had with ANY company. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Keep moving: Don't hire Mayzlin

The delivery itself was *fine* not too much damage. But our experience with sales and management was absolutely awful.

When you're researching moving companies: keep moving. Don't hire Mayzlin until they get better management.

1) Over-promise how long the shipping will take in order to land the sale: Two different employees told me it would take 4-11 days and their website says 5-10 days for the mileage of my trip. It ended up taking 30 days. You sign a contract giving a latest delivery date that you think is 'worst case scenario latest date' because of the humans you spoke to that said it would get there way earlier.

2) Impossible to get updates on shipment: from the time they loaded the truck I couldn't contact Mayzlin for 3 calendar weeks and I thought they just stole my stuff. I sent several emails to the sales and QA guys I'd worked with and left several voicemails for "customer care". Taking all of someone's earthly possessions then ghosting them for 3 weeks is absolutely wild.

3) You know a moving company will nickel & dime you, but they grossly underestimated the size of my shipment (so I paid 50% more than estimate) but the worst part is that they tried to charge an extra thousand dollars at delivery because they said the truck couldn't get to my house. I had to argue with them for days and show them photos of other trucks entering and exiting for my neighborhood for them to finally agree to send the semi and hey what do you know! Of course it got down my street just fine. They tried to charge an extra thousand dollars sight unseen.

Beyond a Scam

The worst moving company I have ever worked with. They prey on customers and lie with promises of delivery dates, direct routes, and having their own trucks ready to go.

When looking for a mover I told them the most important thing was having a delivery date of December 12th. They said not a problem as long as I moved my pickup date up 48 hours, which I agreed to. Today is the 12th and all of my stuff is still in Austin Texas. For reference I am moving to Florida. At least a 3 day trip with DOT regulations.

Their customer service operator, John, gets off on being rude to customers. Just repeats the same “we are waiting for a truck” and won’t escalate to a supervisor, and will hang up on you at the slightest bit of resistance.

This company simply cannot be trusted if you need a reliable and stress free move. I can almost guarantee my things will be damaged. Make sure to leave reviews everywhere, including Google, BBB, and Verified Movers and anywhere else you can find.

Donnie in sales is a commission based liar, John is an unhelpful person who should be nowhere near customer service, and the owners are cowards who won’t make things right with customers.

Best advice to this company is to shut down. This ain’t the career path for yall.

Damaged a bunch of things

One box of Noritake crockery was broken, one box was missing etc. Somehow the packers had marked the closets with a code that said ‘scratched’. They paid nothing. Sad state of affairs.

I cant givethem less than 1 star because the system wont let me but This is by far the most unprofessional, un reliable and a Scam of a company and here is why;
Our movers came June 28, they told us it could take 5-21 days... today is Aug 6th and they arrived at 4 pm, after they called yesterday to say they would get here by 11 am.
When the guy shows up, its only 1 guy, which is not even an employee of this company, he is a subcontractor that has to hire his own people to help him! So the company doesnt even know who the hell is going into your home and what experience they have. On top of that we payed for the full packaging and unpacking experience and they dont know what goes where because nothing is labeled! So back to the one guy, he came with no help to unload the truck ( one single person to carry a piano and a house of 4 people really? ) because his crew did not showed up!
Two Chairs broken my dyson was just thrown to a box with no protection at all! so not working, my dinning table is all scratched, my bedroom drawers broken, The worst company I am so mad and feel used and betrayed since we payed a lot of money, I truly believe they deserve a Lawsuit!

Mayzlin Relocation - Beware!

I chose Mayzlin based on glowing reviews on MoveBuddha, which I later realized are heavily slanted and affiliate-driven. That mistake cost me.

It seemed like a good price at first... but then my “binding estimate” increased by nearly 50% on move day despite doing an in-home walkthrough. When I objected, I was told I had no choice but to pay immediately or they would leave. This was a classic bait-and-switch.

Packing started a day late and stretched to three days instead of one, forcing me to overstay my lease. Several items were lost including a sound bar, charging stands, and step stools. Worst of all, they broke my $3,000 Samsung 8K TV, which I had flagged multiple times as fragile.

Customer service has been dismissive. I’ve filed a formal demand and I'm escalating through the FMCSA and CSI.

Avoid this company. Their estimates aren’t binding, their handling is careless, everything must be done in cash because they know you'll be unhappy in the end and want to ignore you.

Review of Mayzlin Relocation

In October 2024, I enlisted Mayzlin Relocation for an interstate move from Texas to Tennessee. Unfortunately, due to a bout with COVID, I had to cancel the move before finalizing the date. I was disappointed to learn that I was outside the service window for a refund, but Chris, my representative, was incredibly understanding. He placed my move on hold for a future date and was very accommodating with all my questions, promising his ongoing support.

Fast forward to December, after recovering from not just COVID, but also pneumonia and laryngitis, I revisited the idea of moving. Upon researching Mayzlin, I was concerned by several one-star reviews online. With this in mind, I contacted Chris again, this time requesting a refund, given the circumstances. To my surprise and relief, Chris not only listened but also advocated on my behalf to his supervisor. Within minutes, I had my refund processed and received the cancellation documents for my signature.

Despite the negative reviews, my experience with Mayzlin Relocation has been nothing short of exemplary. Chris's professionalism and the company's integrity shone through during my interactions. They treated me with respect and kindness even though I wasn’t the easiest client.

I would give Mayzlin Relocation five stars without hesitation. Their customer service, particularly during challenging times, was outstanding. If and when I decide to move again, I hope Mayzlin will welcome me back as a customer.

Run, don’t walk, Run AWAY from Mayzlin Moving Company!

Let me start by saying “Shame on AARP for recommending this company.” Based on their recommendation, we looked into using this company for a move from Ohio to Missouri. Also, READ EVERY WORD OF THE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING IT.
We were moving in April 2024, and we started looking into moving companies in October 2023. It was November 2023 when we signed a contract with Mayzlin.
During our conversation with their representative Nick, we asked numerous questions regarding certain situations and what the company would cover in case of damage. We asked what services would be done at the time of the move, such as servicing the washer/dryer. He assured us that any damage, whether we packed the box or they packed the box would be covered. (It was not.) He said it could possibly cut the cost if we wanted to pack up boxes ahead of the team coming to pack us. He also told us that they were handle the washer/dryer at the time of the move. (The packing team said they did not do it.) Sadly, he was lying through his teeth. No one could be mistaken on the number of issues that came to light at the time of the move
The biggest falsehood that he said was that the cost would never be higher than his estimate, and if we sold any big items or cleaned out things, it could possibly go down. Two weeks before the move, an auditor called to see what needed to be moved. The cost of the move went up by almost $2,000! Nick said, “I’ve never been that far off on an estimate.” FRAUD at its worst! They offered to let us out of the contract knowing that they had us over the barrel since we were coming up on the date of the move. In the end, we paid $1,800 MORE than the estimate.
As far as the move itself, we felt the packing crew was decent until we started unpacking. They did a great job packing up the dining room and kitchen items, but for quite a bit of the house, they used wardrobe boxes and piled things in. As we were unpacking, a few things came up missing. When we called to see if any boxes could possibly be left in the warehouse (we had to store things for 10 days), their reply was to put in the claim. It did not appear that anyone ever checked the warehouse.
We have moved a number of times, and this was by far the worst for damage. The first thing off the truck was a kitchen table. The leg was cracked at the top by the tabletop. We had a coffee table that had a broken leg and a cracked board running the length of it. It appeared something heavy had been put on top of it. A metal floor lamp came in with the top sagging to the side and missing a base. Our glide rocker spindles are all cracked. A five foot wooden plant stand was in pieces. These are just a few of the items damaged. Add to these broken things the scratches and dings that were put in our wooden furniture pieces such as our entertainment center and dining room hutch, we were not happy with the results of this move.
I submitted the claims as requested, and the result was a joke! They offered minimal coverage, and on the items they did cover, they did not accept my weight estimates. They took their “industry standards” instead of the ones I found online. If the damage did not change the functionality of the item, they would only allow 20% of the weight allowance cutting the claim down to nothing. None of the items packed by us were covered (as I said above, Nick lied repeatedly). The missing items had to be noted at the time of delivery; therefore, each one of them was declined. As for the wood tables, they declined them both as “movement of wood furniture will sometimes produce damage, particularly if the item is old.” The other reason given on the coffee table was that when the wood dries, it shrinks, and then it absorbs moisture and swells leading to cracks. What the heck?!
As I said, RUN, RUN away from Mayzlin. They lead you to believe they are a reputable company, but in our experience, they are anything but.
