Expensive buyer premium, don't offer packing themselves but insist on using slow and expensive services such as MBE.

McTears is a very good company but I think the staff should be more friendly and smile more to members of the public. I have attended many auction at the company over the last 30 years if not more. The staff used to be very friendly and welcoming now it is if they are doing you a favor letting you in to the auction. Sorry to say this but I think it should be said. Over the years I have noticed a marked decline in friendliness, even a smile from the staff as they walk by would make a vast difference.

The charges are far too high and the extras are a rip off just to charge more. pure greed

Staff are incredibly helpful and polite. They accurately valued a coin collection left to us by a family member and made the selling process very easy.
