Do Your Research and Read The Plan Coverage
I am giving a 3-star because I don't have sufficient experience with Devoted to give a better or worse rating. However, I notice that all the reviews address customer service. My concern is not about customer service, it is more about the care, reliability, and value for Medicare patient. If anyone is satisfied with their coverage, network reliability, value and commitment with this healthcare company, please share your experience and satisfaction. It appears that there are hidden conditions that should be of concern to Medicare insurers. DENTAL SUCKS: For instance, although they advertise what appears to be a generous plan for dental, they don't even cover the basic dental service like cleaning. They only pay for dental exam, but not cleaning, extractions or roots canal. In addition, for the only dental exam they cover at 100%, patients must pay upfront out of pocket and submit for reimbursement. Even that does not guaranty payment. VISION SUCKS: The plan pay only for vision care received through their Premier Partners Vision. WARNING: the plan only paye for vision exam that requires eye glasses prescription once a year through an optometrist. It does not cover service or care provided by an ophthalmologist. Most Medicare patients requires ophthalmology care. PRIMARY CARE: Devoted requires you to use your PCP in network for full coverage. It allows only one annual visit. LAB WORK: Lab work must be done at PCP's office to be covered. If done outside of the PCP's office, it will not be covered. SPECIALIST: The plan allows you to use a specialist care without your PCP's authorization; however, you must ensure that your specialist does not require a PCP's authorization. CONCLUSION: Though the coverages appear to be generous, there are setbacks to consider. There will be a lot denial. I have switched to them, but after thorough review, I will keep shopping around for a better and more transparent plan.
