After a large sale we had a customer dispute our transaction and demand a refund from the credit card company. This is the first time it has happened to us and we were unsure of how to proceed. When we received the notice we contacted Merchant 1 and they immediately responded to help. They explained the process and assisted us throughout the dispute resolution. They guided us the entire time and provided us with important help during all the dispute stages. Merchant 1 went to bat for us and helped us win our dispute.

We had received our new payment terminals for our three locations and were being helped by Michelle and Jackie over the phone to activate them. Both ladies were very professional and knowledgeable. The process was flawlessly completed in record time. We have been through this type of process before, with our previous payment provider and the experience was somewhat frustrating. With Merchant 1 Payments, it was a refreshingly straight forward and problem free. Based on this experience i would definitely recommend Merchant 1 Payments.

I contacted Calvin Jacobs with a question about our account and he was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He offered me a solution for an out of office employee that I believe with work for our whole location.
I can’t express enough how impressed I am with Merchant 1 Payments!
What really sets it apart is the customer service, especially dealing with Calvin Jacobs. Calvin is incredibly helpful, answering all my questions promptly and going above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. You don’t get that kind of attention to detail and support everywhere.

I’ve worked with Calvin for several years. Not only is he very professional and efficient, he responds quickly, circles back to ensure things are buttoned up and goes the extra mile with any issue I have. Bodify feels immensely taken care of and I know if we ever have any issues at our Arizona CoolSculpting and Morpheus8 locations, Calvin is my first call or email since it’ll be taken care of!

We recently switched our Merchant Services Provider to Merchant 1 and I have to say it was a great move, from initial conversations with our account manager Ashley through to the transition of going live was as smooth a transition as possible especially the complications of having multiple locations branches and divisions within the company. Can't recommend enough I can't see we'll be changing again anytime soon. Thanks Ash and team

Right from the start the staff at Merchant 1 Payments were so friendly and helpful.
They are there to help when needed. We had an issue with one of our staff members putting through a payment as an authorization only. When I called Michelle lead me to the correct person to fix my problem. She then called later that day to make sure my problem was fixed!! Now that's service!!

Our company has been with Merchant 1 payments for 10 years or more and we have only ever had a positive experience! They are always a phone call away, and regardless of what the problem is, they always resolve it. Every single representative we've dealt with has been very friendly and helpful. Always happy to help.
And our account representative (Calvin Jacobs) is the best!
We love the Payments Insider portal as well. Being able to access all the information regarding every single transaction and all the batches from multiple POS machines is very beneficial to us.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The experience was outstanding
On Feb 24, our terminal went blank. We are a small business and were in quite a panic as nothing we did worked. On Feb 25, we contacted the customer service line and were advised our terminal was obsolete and a new terminal was required. No additional info was provided (How do we get this new terminal? What is the cost? How quickly? We had many questions.) Still in a panic, we contacted Calvin Jacobs and he adv he would send a terminal asap. Once received, our team contacted Calvin for help setting up the terminal. As a small business, we appreciated the quick response and turnaround time. We are up and running and able to accept payments from our customers. Thank You Calvin!

Calvin Jacobs at Merchant 1 is the absolute best. It took a lot of time to sort out our terminals and portals and he was very, very helpful and patient with the process. An exemplary employee that you have for sure.

I would give this company negative stars if I could. Their incompetence is absolutely mind-blowing. Dealing with their so-called "customer service" has been nothing but a frustrating nightmare.
After selling my business, I (reasonably) assumed that everything would be transferred to the new owners. But no—these geniuses left my account active while creating a separate one for the new owners. They never bothered to inform me that I needed to return the terminal, despite the fact that I called multiple times over several months trying to confirm the cancellation. And of course, they refused to send me an email confirmation that my account was actually closed.
This company is a complete joke. Their incompetence is unforgivable, and their inability to perform even the most basic tasks is genuinely pathetic. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay as far away from this company as possible. It is not worth the headache of dealing with a business that doesn’t even know how to do its own job. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Just not here.
Note: I was dealing with Calvin, Michelle and Jessica.
