I was booked since over 3 weeks and they suddenly cancelled the shift in the early morning of the shift without any compensation, they communicate poorly, lack of respect to staff, dubious and the worst agency I have ever seen in this country. Trust me they can’t change.

They cancelled my shifts 3 times when I left from home to catch the shift. Cancellation in Just 30 mins before the Shift start is unethical and frustrating.

keep getting sent emails for jobs starting within the hour, at locations too far for this to be completetd. Also getting bar work jobs offered when iam a chef????? DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, they are exactly what is wrong in the hospitality industry at the moment.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour towards me and my friends, cancelled 3 of my shifts because I cancelled one due to not having correct uniform when they rang and informed me about that and said that’s okay as it was cancelled the same day it was booked. Now just constantly ignoring on WhatsApp. I’m appalled by this as this is people’s incomes and and mental health that’s being affected and it’s so unprofessional!! Don’t even do it to yourselfs.

Mint people will book you for a shift and cancel the shift 30 minutes before the shift, mint people will mess with your mental health don't ever work with them you will regret it

I now got to know how dreadful it is to work for this agency after reading all the other reviews and relating it to what happened to me.

bad experience with them. first they booked 2 weeks shifts with me and then everyday at the time of going to work they just excused that shift is cancelled.

I had an interview scheduled with this agency and showed up on time, only to be left waiting in the virtual meeting room for over 20 minutes. No one ever arrived. There was no communication, no apology, and no explanation.

This is not just disappointing—it's unprofessional. If an agency can’t manage the basic courtesy of showing up for a scheduled interview, how can they be trusted to support staff in the field?

I’ve worked with Mint People previously and had hoped to return, expecting a smooth and respectful process. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of organisation and respect for my time.

Thankfully, I’m already supported by reliable agencies like HAP and Arc, who treat their workers with far more professionalism.

I do not recommend wasting your time here.

discrimation towards disabled staff and unfair - don't bother

They will cancel shifts 40 minutes before your shift is due to start without an actual explanation. Then reject your calls throughout the day. They are very unprofessional. If you need to unbook shifts and get your information deleted from Ubeya just call the main 03 number as the agents will just keep ignoring your call and emails. Just stick with the more common agencies.

My experience with mint was dreadful.i was supposed to work festival event far away from home and when I got there the hour's I work was very short because the employer doesn't want longer hours the job was quite according to trader. but that's not what got the message from the agency it's gonna be full time and working for several day's.so i bought a tent and basic things for next couple of days.i end up over spending than the wage I get paid.becuse the hour's I work couldn't cover my expenses, food at the festival was expensive, the shift was short hours and the communication was absolutely unbelievably shit.so i quit working for them and the bizarre thing is still get a message's and email 's from them when I am not interested frankly I find it annoying and unprofessional.my advice is think about it before u sign up other wise you will end up over spending most of us want to bring income pay our bills. that job it self is major bill.that is burtal honest from me but its my worst experience job.

Lied to me,reassuring I can quit my other job and they make me to believe is a ongoing job. I turned of work on Sunday night just to find out I'm fired. Nobody could inform me what is going on until Monday morning. Left me unemployed just before Christmas. I was covering one lady for holiday,told I have full time job.

They are very terrible . Don’t ever work with mints people !!!! . I got booked for a shift , I got to the venue and I was turned back that they were overbooked , after I got to the venue .

Awful experience with this company, they can unbook you from the shift in the last minutes. They are very unprofessional and irresponsible people.

I applied for a couple of cleaning roles with these jokers, and eventually found work elsewhere. I don't recall giving them permission to keep my details either, but over the past couple of weeks suddenly they're spamming me with vacancies! I've removed my details from their system, yet yesterday I was offered commis chef work on London (I'm based in Wales and not even a kitchen assistant never mind chef)!! Just now spammed with a cleaning vacancy nearer to home! Id give them 0 stars if I could

I have been massively underpaid by this company and I am only writing this review as I fear it won't be resolved unless I do as I have tried emailing and calling to no avail.

I worked from 6:00-20:30 on the 6th September, 6:00-20:00 on the 7th, and 6:00-19:30 on the 8th September at Goodwood and yet I have been only been paid for 13.07 hours on the 6th, 12.07 on the 7th, and 11.42 on the 8th.

I was given just twenty minutes to confirm my shift on the morning of the 5th before it was taken off my app. I assumed this was an error as I was told by the person in charge of recruitment for this event to confirm this shift, and so I attended. I tried to call her several times on the way and also texted her but received no response and she only replied to me in the group chat when I asked where we signed in.

I first called the office about this two weeks ago before I was due to be paid as I wanted to confirm my hours to before payroll. I put it in writing and attached a screenshots of photos I took at the sign out tent at 20:38 on the 6th and 20:05 on the 7th, as well as a photo I took whilst walking out of the festival on the 8th at 19:35 for proof. I even sent a picture of the computer we clocked out on at the event showing my hours were much longer than what I'd been paid for.

Also, as mentioned before, I have only been paid for two hours on the 5th despite the supervisor Liam telling me it would be four as I would be put on as an overbook. As well as this, I have only been paid £12.50 per hour for the 6th and the 7th despite both Liam and Kerry telling me I would be paid at £14 per hour which was the rate I had agreed to prior to the shifts.

I was yet to hear from anyone despite having spoken with members of the team three times so far and so I called again today and was told I won't even be paid the remaining fees until at least next Friday (if I ever am) and they will be in contact IF there's any news.

I would really appreciate if someone resolved this as soon as possible.

My experience with this organization has been extremely disappointing. Their internal processes are disorganized, and there is a significant lack of communication within the team. The technology team fails to maintain functional apps, often providing incorrect information. Additionally, there is a noticeable absence of coordination and professionalism among employees. Event workers are not treated with respect, and many of the promised aspects of the job are not delivered. The organization also has a tendency to change rules arbitrarily to suit their needs. Furthermore, payment for work done is often incorrect. I strongly advise against enrolling with this company and suggest exploring other hospitality and event management companies instead, especially if you are new to this field.
