DO NOT ORDER FROM MODISH LIVING! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DISAPPEAR! This is the most frustrating and disappointing service I have ever received. I ordered and paid a ridiculous amount on January 2023. We are nearly in May and I still haven’t got my order yet. Initially when queried, I got response back from customer service and got one part - the dining table, delivered. Following that we were told the item is soon at their warehouse, even was given a specific date but all communication has stopped since . We still haven’t got the remaining parts for our dinning room (currently using garden furniture), our money has been with them since January and no way of reaching this business. I am going to contact my credit card provider now to get my money back as I doubt there is any chance I will get the furniture I paid for in January.

Rejected damaged delivery, still waiting for a refund
Ordered the Farnham Sustainable Mango Wood Sideboard and it was a tale of woe…
Firstly, they contacted me to say they could not provide the white glove service I ordered as I live in Scotland, so they would refund that charge…they never did, and more on that later.
Delivery communications were haphazard, getting a text in the evening saying one thing, and a text the following morning saying something different. I think we were given 4 different times. Eventually, one man turned up in a smallish van to deliver a sideboard, despite it clearly stating 2 man delivery. When they returned with the 2 men as required, the item was severely and obviously damaged. I don’t know if it was mishandling by DX (who Modish saying they won’t use again), however, the packaging did look inadequate.
Never mind, they have a refund guarantee on their website, so everything will be ok, yeah? No…here we are almost a month later still waiting the refund. Despite confirming a refund will be made, they are “very busy”…. It seems obvious I will need to initiate a complaint with my credit card to get my money back.

The product was poor (damaged) and the…
The product was poor (damaged) and the service was abysmal. I have never experienced such poor service and customer neglect as this previously.
I ordered a sideboard that arrived damaged and it was clear that there had been an attempt to fix it by inserting small nails. This was ineffective and one of the doors was hanging off the hinges. I informed the company by email with attached photos and they agreed to replace it. However, 4 weeks later I was still waiting for the replacement. The company did not initiate communication or updates about the status of the order or delivery. I had to email and call and didn’t receive any helpful information, merely that the product remained in their warehouse. I have now cancelled the order as they eventually indicted that it would be at least a further 2 weeks. Now I have to contact them re the expected date of refund and I am anticipating difficult in managing to access this. The time that it takes to deliver a replacement that they send damaged and lack of customer contact and respectfulness is shocking.

The quality of the oak table top is…
The quality of the oak table top is fantastic, the legs are big and sturdy and all set up looks the part - our only issue is the the packaging for the legs was not good enough as the leg have moved around inside and were badly scratched which will need painting again, overall very happy as it fits what we needed.

The actual piece of furniture is…
The actual piece of furniture is brilliant but the charge of £50 for the white glove service was not worth it … there was nothing to construct and it was basically £50 to unpack it and take away the cardboard. It would also be an improvement if the customer had a better idea of the delivery time … we set an alarm for 6.00 am ( the earliest time we were given)which was very early for us but the delivery was actually 7.45

Thank you for your feedback - we have mentioned your comment about the delivery time to our delivery partners - they normally do just give timeslots as traffic delays do (unfortunately) happen. Please be assured that your feedback has been passed on to them and noted.
Our standard delivery is completely free. The cost of the white-glove service that we offer as an extra, is set by our delivery partners. It is a set fee whether they are assembling a large heavy dining table or putting the legs on chairs. Often customers do request this as they don't have the space to store packaging before they can get it to a recycling plant, the time to drive to one, or a vehicle to take it themselves. We have tried to cover all requirements with this.....

I ordered a Hoxton Table and 6 chairs
I ordered a Hoxton Table and 6 chairs. Came over £3,300. I also had the white glove service. Two of the chairs came stained and damaged. Table has a crack in it. Also the delivery service has put on the legs wonky and incorrectly. Total mess. So you would think Modish Living would be trying to get this sorted out. No they are investigating!!!! Over a week now and nothing through. What’s to investigate. Pick it up and return my money. That’s all you need to do. Terrible company. Poor service.
Update on this - 7th May 2023. So after all of the problems with this company. I have now received a mail from them stating they are now in liquidation process and are cease trading. Left with trying to pick up the pieces to mow having to get my table and chairs fixed . So feel I was being fobbed off from the company to getting a resolution. Expensive lesson learnt with buying online. The Insolvency Practitioner WSM Marks Bloom LLP based in Kingston upon Thames, also does not want to know.

Noble appearance
Well made dining chairs, beautiful fabric and colour.
These chairs were delivered within a week from ordering.
These are heavy but sturdy chairs. Will give a noble appearance to the dining table that yet to recieve (from a different manufacture).

Ordered 2 dining chairs, states on the website they won't accept returns if the items have been assembled. We did check over the chairs before we assembled them but that's when we noticed the defect, the chairs are a completely different size! We measured the base and that's correct so the actual chair bases are faulty, this wouldn't of been noticed until they were built. They look ridiculous and I can't send them back for a refund, even if I hadn't opened the parcel they accept returns but YOU have to pay a hefty collection fee. I would avoid, website looks nice but the quality is very cheap.

Sturdy Furniture Great customer service.
We ordered a "Large Farringdon Reclaimed Wood Sideboard"
It arrived well packaged, all we had to do was unwrap and attach door handles. It is made of reclaimed wood so is rustic but it is exactly what we wanted.
It is sturdy and well made, we have loaded it with heavy items with no problems. We were so pleased we ordered a second one in the sale to solve our storage needs.
Customer service was excellent when we needed a minor problem sorted.
