Excellent table and reasonable delivery time. Quick to assemble and looks great. Edges are smoothed off and no splinters (which was an initial concern for me). Plenty of nail holes but that is to be expected. Definitely recommend!

We ordered a Dinning table, 4 chairs and a bench. All arrived in time and good condition, we are really happy with everything. We did have an issue were a chair broke after only 1 month but Modish replaced it for free no problem.

We bought the Collette Refectory Dining Table.

Purchasing and delivery all were without problem and the item arrived pretty quickly so all good. The table looked great and we really liked it. It's rustic and has lots of character and just what we were after!

The problem arose when using it as a dining table. The wood is stained a light grey but has an oiled finish. A dining table to be used as a dining table should have a sufficient finish to repel food stains, grease etc as innevitably over time the table will come in contact with these kind of items. This tables finish is so poor that from day one, we had visible grease marks because instead of repelling, the table was absorbing. We have small children who eat daily at the table and despite clearing up immediately (we really have looked after it) the table was littered with grease marks within days.

I contacted customer services who were quick to point out it was a clearance item and couldn't be returned. After some discussion and pointing out that the finish was inadequate and we didn't actually want to return it as we loved the look of the table but actually wanted to use it as a dining table and wanted to improve the finish (apparently not everyone uses a dining table in the same way as we do - yes we have kids and use place mats, coasters to assist with reducing instances of food coming in contact with the table) Modish Living were good enough to send out a company to re-oil the table.

This has improved the finish slightly but it still absorbs food spillages, and the table is now darker than it was when arrived but still looks good just not how it arrived. The man who oiled it explained that this type of finish would need regularly re-oiling to prevent the kind of problems we were having. He asked if there was literature at the point of sale to explain this to the customer, to my knowledge other than the basic care instructions for reclaimed items, there isn't. He said that the only way to fix the problem was to have it professionally sprayed with a lacquer but it was not advisable once a table has been oiled to do this without sanding completely first.

So long story but we have a table that isn't really up to being a family table. If it was a side board or similar, I get that a finish like this would be sufficient and look lovely.

Unfortunately, my expectations for the product to function as it should, haven't been met and despite it being re-oiled it will continue to be an issue whilst we own the table. We're resigned to the fact that we've bought an item that looks great but isn't really up to purpose. I will re-oil the table at regular intervals to try to keep it from continually absorbing greasy fingers and ketchup spills etc, but at the price point that these are sold, I'm quite disappointed overall and wouldn't buy again.

Great chest of drawers, would be 5 stars were it not that the delivery team left the chest of drawers in its massive box which I struggled to unpack, and now the box won’t fit in my recycling bin or my car to get rid of.

I ordered a beautiful dining table online, stated 14 days lead time, product came within a week and is perfect. Excellent communication for both ML and delivery.

Orderd Saturday arrived by Tuesday. Delivery drivers were excellent so helpful.
The table is absolutely stunning we couldn't be happier. Exceeded all our expectations. We were a little nervous reading the write up on reclaimed wood. Wasnt sure what we would recieve. The pictures and write up were excellent but they did not do it justice. It really is beautiful and the workmanship is outstanding.
