I can NOT recommend Morgan & Ass.

If you wish to sell your home, use Morgan & Associates at your own peril!
My wife and I were searching for a house to purchase. We searched and came across a house on “ontheMarket.com” that appeared as if it might be suitable. “Onthemarket.com” gives the option of calling or emailing the listing agent. I emailed and requested a viewing. Days passed, I received no response. Eventually, I received an email, not to arrange a viewing, but interrogating us on our very personal information! This time, I decided to make a phone call and speak to someone. I spoke to someone and was told that I would receive a phone call from an agent, to arrange a viewing. Again, days past and nothing! I called again and asked to speak to the agency’s manager. A woman, named Sharon, told me that the owner of the agency was a lady by the named Juliet. I asked Julie, to return my call. I never received a phone call!

It is quite clear that this agency is not very keen on selling that particular house! No wonder that house has been no the marker for a long time!

If this is a response they could give about that one particular house, how would their record be on any other houses that have been listed through them?!

I cannot possibly recommend that people use Morgan and associates to sell their homes. My one and only interaction with this company has been absolutely negative.

Very disappointing and unfair experience

I rented my home through Morgan Associations from 2021 and lived at Gala Close for four years. I treated the property like my own — the house, garden, and garage were always kept clean and well maintained. The landlord was always happy with us.

Before moving out, I spent two full days cleaning the house and garage, fully expecting to receive my £1,100 deposit back. I even agreed for Morgan to use their own professional cleaners. When their representative inspected the property, they confirmed the house was clean.

However, after we left, Morgan sent photos of minor dirt on a radiator and kitchen surface and used this as an excuse to claim the property was not cleaned properly. In the end, they kept £700 and returned only £400.

This was especially devastating for us because we have a three-month-old baby and many new expenses. We were counting on that deposit to support our family, yet it was taken from us without fair justification. The stress and disappointment this caused at such a vulnerable time is hard to describe.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to be very careful when dealing with Morgan Associations. No matter how well you look after the property, they may still find reasons to withhold your deposit.

Furthering With Aplomb the Reputation of Estate Agents

During the 1980's, the television programme "Spitting Image" aired a segment, still available on YouTube, with the catchy but shocking refrain “kill an estate agent today." In the intervening years, I'd often wondered how UK estate agents could have brought about such an extreme suggestion. Well, gentle reader, if Morgan Associates had dealt so scurrilously with a person of less good humour than they had me, I submit to you these words might have been taken to heart.

Misleading advertising copy, deliberate obfuscation during the property presentation, incompetence, theft, and bullying appear to be this company's stock in trade.

--Did you know that three coat hooks beside a front door qualifies to be advertised as a "cloak room"?
--Items featured in publicity copy may—or may not—actually be part of the deal. You pay your money and you take your chances with this crew.
--“A modern kitchen with appliances” doesn’t necessarily mean the largest and most meaningful of these appliances will be at the property once your deposit is taken. (See above.)
--Just for larks, I received a council tax bill for the "weeks" I "occupied" the premises. Gentle reader, the little cottage with no cloak room, featured wardrobe, or refrigerator never experienced the pleasure of my company, other than to inspect and reject it. Still, the council tax was forwarded (and paid).

For the great effort it took to invent their grandiloquent charade, Morgan Associates decided to further their reputation as blackguards and thieves by keeping my 3500 GBP deposit, suggesting I should be grateful that I wasn't facing legal action for breaking the rental contract . In retrospect, it's a bloody good thing I hadn't succumbed to their original request for a year's rent in advance!

One could glean from this review that MA will not be getting my repeat business. They would also be wise to heed the message in above tale of woe and give this outfit the wide berth it deserves, so to avoid being tempted by the now-understandable "Spitting Image" supplication.

They were a tremendous help for my…

They were a tremendous help for my fiancee and I. We had been looking for a new home in quite some time and it was becoming quite bothersome. Thank you for the help in finding the perfect new place. We've already settled in very well!

Property has been leaking for over 2…

Property has been leaking for over 2 years, no help from the agent whatsoever, they don’t care one bit as long as they get there money!! Ignore emails and unwilling to fix anything. Clueless also springs to mind. Will leave to the legal and council teams to resolve

It has taken me 6 years to get to the…

It has taken me 6 years to write something because I am afraid that I will be retaliated against.

The landlady insisted a tree was chopped down in the garden, a beautiful big 180 foot walnut tree which then caused cracking inside the property. She was happy for me to fill in the cracks and paint however I said to her that she might want to check with the surveyor that had a look at the cracks because they may not insure it if I do it. This turned out to be the case.
I had a phone call to say that the company (Ferris) were coming next day to plaster most of the rooms and paint as well as skim one of the ceilings. I had had no notice of this and as I have dogs and was told I had to be present. I couldn’t simply cancel appointments at work at no notice so would call back with dates.

I get a call from morgans to say that if I don’t give a date that day that I will be getting notice. My landlady who is 92 had saidbthis so instead of saying to my landlady you can’t do that, they threaten me.

I went back to Ferris, gave them a date and they said they would have to let me know when they could come. I explained the situation and so they threw out a random date and said it would take five days to do the work a room at a time.

Ended up taking three weeks, I could only use one room as they piled up furniture and covered every room. Three weeks of work was lost because I had to be at home because of the dogs (their insistence)

They refused to pay for me to stay somewhere else so I was stuck in fumes, refused to pay for my dogs to go into daycare and to make matters worse, paint ended up down my sofa, on my tv, front door, all over the floor then rail of my clothing was put back against the wall that was still wet and so all my clothes were covered in paint.

Three weeks of not being able to work. I also had no kitchen or bathroom for most of that period and was confined to one room.

I spoke to Morgan’s who said that they would take a week off my rent not three and we’re not interested in any of the damage to my property and that they didn’t want to hear another word about it.

I went to head out for work a few week ago to find that I could not get out of my driveway (500 yards long) as it was being dug up and tarmaced over the following three days.

It was the three days leading up to my father’s funeral where I needed to get flowers to do the coffin arrangement and groceries for people staying plus I was working. I had no notice if this once again.

This sort of bullying behaviour has gone on for six years, six years of making me feel utterly like crap in my own home that I have no rights and no voice. I have raised it before with the manager and said how I feel, only to be dismissed repeatedly. It is so bad that when there are issues I don’t even say anything because there is no point and never worth the grief.

Every property inspection the lady puts down black mold in every room, the fact that the window seals have gone so there is water in the double glazing and thread bare carpets from a moth infestation.

Have been waiting over two months for a roof repair that has rain coming down the walls and carpet on the landing.

Finally broke me after almost 8 years of bullying and speaking to me like garbage - I am moving out!!

I hope you never treat treat anyone as bad as you have done to me, shameful behaviour!

The latest is that it seems the one employee is particular is known for taking tenants deposits even when they have used a cleaning service before leaving. Apparently the cottage was filthy so I must pass that on to the cleaning company I used as I am certain they would love to comment.

I painted the property every year throughout, had curtains made for the front door to match the other curtains, cut down four feet weeds that made the garden inexcusable including the septic system, planted loads of flower plants, put a new carpet and underlay in the lounge and replaced both shed roofs (just a few things I did)

Will see what they try to take from my deposit but I will fight it and sue for all of the clothes I lost from the moth infestation, the three weeks of lost work when I had to stay at home for work done, the damage to my health, multiple chest infections attributed to black mold etc.

Enough with treating tenants like garbage! I know who you are that repeatedly accuses tenants of leaving somewhere ‘filthy’ even when cleaners have been in. It is not going happen again!!
