had my bike serviced with Mototeknics , super helpfull and friendly ..

My 5 month old Vespa 310 developed a worrying transmission noise whilst out riding which I discussed with Scott in Mototechnics service department. Bearing in mind I live 68 miles away from this dealership he thought the bike may let me down en route and suggested I used the recovery service. The RAC transported the bike down the following day.
About a week later Scott rang and told me the bike was ready for collection and explained what they had found and what parts they had replaced. I was layer shown photographs of the defect thought to have caused the issue.

I cannot understand the logic behind this company's warranty policy. If a motorcycle develops a fault under warranty, they insist it must be transported back to their premises for inspection and repair, even when transport alone costs around 300 pounds. That is completely unreasonable when there are qualified, authorized workshops fully capable of diagnosing and repairing the bike locally. This requirement may be buried in the small print, but it was never mentioned during the sales process. Before the sale, their customer service is friendly and eager to help. But once the sale is done, and a warranty issue arises, the tone changes completely. Replies become slow, communication is poor, and the only solution offered is to send the motorcycle back at my expense. What is most disappointing is their complete unwillingness to consider any reasonable alternative, such as authorizing a local dealer or qualified workshop to inspect and repair the motorcycle. A warranty should give customers confidence, not leave them facing hundreds of pounds in transport costs just to have a manufacturing fault assessed. It has been an extremely frustrating experience and I would strongly encourage potential buyers to understand these warranty conditions very carefully before purchasing.

RANG TO ORDER SOME PARTS, PHONE RANG AND RANG AND OBVIOUSLY WENT THROUGH DEPARTMENTS UNTIL SOMEONE PICKED UP. I ASKED IS THIS THE PARTS DEPARTMENT TO BE MET WITH A VERY RUDE ANSWER OF ''WELL IF YOU PICK THE PARTS OPTION YOULL GET PARTS!'' AT WHICH POINT I HUNG UP. TERRIBLE ATTITUDE.

Thank you Mototechniks for a lovely event the other week where you had a Food stall, modern classic motorbikes to view and plenty of bikes new and used to test ride. Plus a good yarn with some bike enthusiasts. Despite the weather taking a turn there was a really good turn out and I was glad to be able to turn up, have a good afternoon there and show support for a great event at a great dealership. I happened to win a lovely Crash Helmet by Shark. Interior dark visor , pin lock ready etc. Very nice surprise thank you. I had previously already bought a Shark from you which I'm also very happy with so I've added this one to the collection! The thing I especially love about Mototecniks, is they will work on bike of any age that noone else locally will. For this reason I've taken one of my classic bikes in and now so has a friend of mine I introduced to you. Keep up the good work it is appreciated. Best Regards, John

Massive thanks to Mototechniks and particularly the workshop for getting my service completed so quickly. It saved me a great deal of trouble with public transport, not to mention time and cost.
I will definitely be going back there for next years service.
