Vue cinemas have the worst website ever I have ever used. It is ridiculous that such a big company has such poor web service. It’s as if they don’t actually want you to use it. I’ve been trying to book a film for over 30 mins now and it continuously crashes, won’t select seats, every single time I have had to come out of the website restart it and start all over again and there are no seats left! To be honest this is nothing new there are always problems with their website and it constantly crashes but today has taken it to a whole different level of crap! If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Terrible website
I have never seen this website work properly. So is the app on phone.. they need to invest on IT if they want to keep up with competiton .. I like the cinemas they are good standard but the website is appalling
Appalling shockingly bad website
Appalling shockingly bad website. Hard to navigate, takes lengthy searching, then finally when I tried to book it wouldn't work. Repeatedly tried to book seats but the website had various faults. Tried to phone - terrible long wait for telephone assistance, and the advisor still didn't sort out my booking. All in all they don't deserve to have any business at all with that website. Tempted to boycott it for all the misery it's caused me today, and still I haven't been able to book tickets.
Westfield Stratford gift voucher redemption
Went to the Westfield Stratford cinema to see a film with gift vouchers. On a busy Friday night, they only accepted these vouchers at one till. No sign advised this and I was sent near to the front of another queue. Not good when the total queue time was in excess of 30 minutes, meaning the start of the film was nearly missed.
Very poor first impression. The cinema part of the experience was enjoyable.
Website & App stability awful
The other reviews are all true, when it comes to Monday evening and you're trying to see what films are on where the website is down and so is the app. Put some of the profits from your ticket prices and combo meals into upgrading your servers VUE. Unacceptable that your servers should be overloaded by an evenings worth of customers.
If you want to know what's on at which VUE make sure you check well in advance to avoid being left completely in the dark. If it wasn't for the £4.99 Super Monday's I'd be off to another cinema.
Website and app crash every time!!
Considering how big this company is, I have never used their website without issues!! It’s so slow and crashes almost every time!!

Website is awful: slow, poorly designed, always problems. Especially with films that are not in every cinema. You literally have to go through every cinema one by one to find out where it can be seen. Old one was better

banning films because you may not agree with them is censorship. we are clever enough to make our own minds up thankyou. look at your reviews, surely if you have a brain cell between you, you will realise if you carry on like this you will be finshed. The End!
Misleading!!
Prices are not clear. There's always something hidden!! Even the 4.99 super Monday has a 50p hidden fee which you are only made aware of at the end. I was sent a voucher for free popcorn for giving a review but even the popcorn were only given on condition that I buy a drink. So misleading... 0 out of 5!!
Website is awful
Website is awful. Can only look at film times for the next 2 days and thats if you can actually find any films showing at your preferred cinema.
Going to the Odeon instead at least I can see whats on.

Appalling website. Can't find films easily and unable to buy tickets using meerkat code even though website suggests you can.
No wonder the cinema industry is struggling
Why do Vue make it so hard to find a film? Why must you continually put in your preferred venue? Why can you only book 'til Wednesdays? I could go on but.......please Vue do something about your antiquated website!
Dreadful website
Dreadful website, designed by an idiiot, impossible to navigate. One of the worst I have ever had the misfortune to (try) to use. I would have given it -5 stars if that had been possible.
I would like to be able to find a film, find which cinema it is showing in, book it is 3 clicks on one easy to see page. The people who designed this website appear to be the same as those who design advertising for the cinema screen, BUT when I book I am not looking at a cinema screen I am looking at my phone screen.
The Vue Cinema in Cardiff
I often go to The Vue Cinema in Cardiff - VERY affordable fixed £4 per adult!! The website is an absolute nightmare to navigate, and the self payment booths are never working correctly but the cinema itself is great. Clean,big screens, friendly staff and great food. My only main gripe is that its always cold - so wear something cosy. They have all the blockbuster films and cheap nights for kids during the week. I am from overseas so used to paying out the nose for crappy, smelly cinemas - it had gotten to the point where I stopped going to them entirely. So great to have a nice affordable one in the local area in Cardiff!
I go to Vue 2-3 time a month - website almost always fails
I live in south manchester and go to the cinema almost every week - and have a choice of 3 Vue, a couple of Odeons and a cineworld- so I use all three online booking websites AND the Vue app. In reality - in only ever successfully book online with Vue 1 time in 4 or 5 because the website freezes or the Payment fails etc etc. And I end up having to phone up and book. odeon and cineworld work first time, every time. Love the screens - especially Printworks (which used to be Odeon) - absolutely dread having to book - like this evening - hence writing this review instead of booking tickets
How difficult can it be?
How difficult can it be? Simple website looks fairly intuitive but trying to enter my Meerkat 2 for 1 code and it all goes wrong... Depending which browser I use I get differing results...
1. Firefox - the vertical scroll bar vanishes and you cannot scroll to change seats or even continue...
2. Chrome - Looks promising scrolls this time but when adding code it then changes to Meerkat movies selections but can only select 0 or 1 seat in any seating catagory... Selecting 1 just means that you cannot select the other and when you progress to payment it tells you that that you need to select 1 full price ticket first even though you can't!!!
3. Internet Explorer - Looks good this time you can scroll and select 2 seats - hoorah! But the elation is short lived... When you come to book/pay it says £NaN under the subtotal and predictably progressing from this screen merely giving yet another error!
It would appear that if I am to actually be able to use any Meerkat 2 for 1 codes that I am going to have to visit the cinema (and pay for parking) just to book seats! Which kind of detracts from the whole cost saving idea of 2 for 1 in the first place!
In short the myvue website looked as though I would be abe to book 2 seats at full price but as soon as you go down that route of entering a code in all sorts of errors prevail which will prevent you from booking/paying... TOTALLY SUCKS! If I could give zero - I would!
Went to see Star Wars the Last Jedi …
Went to see Star Wars the Last Jedi yesterday & sat in VIP seats. Booked tickets online without issue, printed them out from the machine using booking ref & had a comfy experience. Staff were friendly & helpful & the film was great 👍🏼 snacks & drinks very expensive though...£2.90 for a bottle of water lol.
Worst website I have ever encountered
The vue website is awful. I keep trying to book with meercat movies and it keeps thinking more people are going than they are, then it freezes, then it doesn't give you any option to remove the other people! This has happened so many times with this website on different devices (so I know it is not me!) that it is unusable. Seriously Vue, Sort it out.
AWFUL
As soon as we got inside they offered us a ticket saying: get a free popcorn when you buy any drink. We bought a drink and went for the popcorn when they told us that for win the popcorn you had to feel a form in the website and receive a voucher. What?! Absolutely outrageous. They lie to you in your face. Then we went for the movie, the cinema room its awful, there is not enough inclination between the chairs, making the screen part covered from the chair in front of you. I will NEVER, EVER go to vue cinemas again, especially because you can go to Odeon and Cineworld just near to it.
