I highly recommend Dr. Dando. She was empathetic and respectful when discussing the complexities of HRT following a breast cancer diagnosis. I felt validated and truly listened to regarding my personal health journey.

I was given a prescription which was emailed to me and the delivery came the following lunchtime. Super impressed with the professionalism and efficiency at Newson Health. I know this sounds like an exaggeration but I feel like my life can begin again thanks to Jo the Dr at the Newson clinic at Stratford. I’m so used to battling with health care professionals getting them to listen to me I thought going to this clinic would be the same. I was so wrong, Jo was an absolute expert and completely got what I am going through. She knew exactly what to prescribe, which included medications for other symptoms of menopause I didn’t even know there was a solution for. Not only that but Jo was incredibly approachable and I felt completely at ease. Something I have never experienced with the NHS. Incredibly thorough and absolute experts. I recommended the service to friends straight after my first appointment. Thank you Dr Jo for not only being a true expert but also for your understanding, kindness and lovely manner. I've been using the services provided at Newson Health for a couple of years now. Recently I had some additional problems outside of the 'HRT' arena and the doctor I was being seen by was fantastic - getting my GP involved and greatly contributing to my subsequent treatment.
I cannot recommend this clinic enough. The reception staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and whilst it isn't cheap for those on a budget, the whole service is extremely efficient and the doctors have the necessary time available to really listen to you, explain all the available options and make the process as pain free as possible.

This is an update to my review in June raising the issue of my experience of a lack of continuity of care. The operating manager responded and asked me to reach out, which I did. I cannot praise her highly enough. She was both emphatic and effective and really went out her way to organise a timely appointment for me with the clinician I had most recently seen. My appointment with Dr Lewis was, as ever, comprehensive, informative and helpful. I felt really listened to and supported with the best evidence currently available. Dr Lewis is clearly an excellent clinician who engages very well with her patients. I also found the support staff at Newson health generally very helpful and proactive in ensuring I was informed when they received medical reports and also in sorting a prescription issue for me. I have no hesitation in revising my review to five stars.

Superb expert advice and guidance from the doctor today - she has a wealth of information, I very much appreciated her advice and guidance. HRT has been great for bone health and overall well being.

Great doctor who listened to me and had so much more up to date knowledge & experience than my NHS GP

I went to the Newson clinic to have a second opinion. I was feeling awful on my existing HRT and my Gp didn’t know what to do and my nhs menopause clinic were uninterested. The initial appointment was great and the Dr I saw seemed to understand my symptoms and identified an issue which could be impacting me which had been dismissed by my own GP for 3 years. The Dr offered me a follow up letter and a suggestion of progesterone prescription which would be offered easily via the admin team if my Gp declined to prescribe off licence. I went back to my Gp and nhs menopause clinic armed with the suggestions offered by the dr at the Newson clinic. Both declined to prescribe on this basis only on a higher prescription. I went back to the dr at the Newson clinic for some feedback and points to discuss with meno clinic or advice they could give me. I emailed the response feedback from
The gp & nhs menopause clinic clinic which had not been attached to my record. The Newson de seemed confused. The second appointment was a wipeout as they couldn’t really advise me. I never received the prescription for Cyclogest as promised or offered it via the Newson clinic. I put my own plan together to stop HRT and that’s al the Newson Dr could mutely agree with. They asked me if I felt better informed and ai said no not really as the queries I had really didn’t have an answer. I cancelled my follow up appointment. They never really gave long term advice as to how I could manage a trial dietary change to help with my symptoms. I just felt like I was left to manage the process on my own rather than a second opioid - the dr seemed uninterested. I feel the same as I did with my nhs doctor. I wasn’t expecting for a miracle but just some independent advice and if that seemed lack lustre. I have cancelled my follow up appointment in a few months time as I didn’t see much point- what was I going to follow up? I had high hopes for this service but was sadly disappointed. I gave a mark of 3 as they did identify a dietary impact but left me with little follow up plan how to manage long term.

Can’t rate Newson Clinic and it’s amazing team highly enough. From starting with the amazing admin team through to the video consultation with Dr Holly Jackson, who was understanding, kind, empathetic and gave me her full attention. She understood exactly where I am in my ten years post-menopause journey. The prescription arrived so quickly I can now begin my exploration of body identical hormones and hoping they will give me an extension of the good health I am currently lucky enough to have. I have had advice and help with my HRT with Newson's for the last 5 yeas. Their expertise, advice and medical knowledge is outstanding and I recommend them very highly and in particular Dr Charline Villa. She has been so helpful in getting the balance of my HRT just right and supporting me through this very difficult stage of life. Thank you.

I saw Dr Anna Chiles for my initial assessment. I found it to be a very validating experience as she took time to understand my symptoms holistically. She was knowledgeable and put me at ease. I left the appointment with a clear plan for treatment and follow up. Arranging the prescription was straightforward. Thank you again!

Their admin is diabolical and they appear to have no meaningful complaints procedure. Bear this in mind if you choose to use this clinic.

I’d genuinely love one of the directors to read the email chain between myself and their ‘Improvement Manager’, Jane, because I don’t think it reflects well on the way concerns are handled. Rather than acknowledging what appeared to be faults with their system, the focus seemed to be on involving me in end-user testing.

After almost every appointment or test (which they charge handsomely for), I’ve had to chase for communication, results or prescriptions. I’ve even paid for a prescription that never arrived. I’ve reached the point where I’ve lost the will to keep chasing because the amount of time and effort needed to make any progress simply isn’t worth it. Honest advice? Keep trying your GP.

I have been going to Newson Health for HRT for 3 years, and initially decided to go private as I have some other health concerns that needed to be taken into account when prescribing HRT. The two doctors I have seen there have been experts, and have known how to tailor my doses with caution (my NHS GP prescribes the HRT for me but doesn’t have the knowledge to understand my doses or regime). I also knew after reading Louise Newson’s book that I probably needed testosterone, and knew I wouldn’t be prescribed this on the NHS.

Everyone I have spoken to there has been courteous and kind, and has made me feel listened to.

It is a shame that the service is so expensive as it is information that should be available to everyone, but I do not begrudge Louise Newson for the cost as it is life changing for many of us. She puts the money back into products and research. She is a pioneer in the field and ought to be taken very seriously.

If you can afford it, I can highly recommend it.

She listened to my questions and was reassuring about my concerns.
There is time within the appointment to discuss any issues. The doctor had clearly read my notes so I did not need to go through my story again.

I am extremely disappointed with the care I received from Newson Clinic.

I sought help during a very difficult time with my menopause symptoms, expecting expert support and compassionate care. Unfortunately, I felt completely let down. I used the clinic on two separate occasions, and both times I felt my concerns were not properly addressed and my treatment was not managed in a way that met my needs.

What upset me most was the complete lack of follow-up. After deciding to leave, I left a message requesting that someone contact me to discuss my experience. I genuinely expected at least a courtesy call, but nobody bothered to get in touch. That silence spoke volumes.

The receptionist I spoke to was also extremely dismissive and seemed more interested in getting me off the phone than listening to my concerns. At a time when women seeking menopause support are often vulnerable and struggling, a little compassion and professionalism would go a long way.

My overall impression is that the clinic feels very commercial and focused on making money from women who are suffering, rather than providing the ongoing care and support that patients need and expect.

I have waited a long time before writing this review because I genuinely thought someone would contact me as requested. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic. I felt failed twice and left feeling unheard, unsupported, and disappointed.

I have been with Newson Clinic since late 2024 and the experience with them is they listen and have very efficient admin. It makes me feel sad comparing them with the nhs as this is the experience we all should have as patients. 🙏

Fantastic professional service, quick and accessibly delivered. The doctor I see is thoughtful and got a handle on my complex health issue quickly and how we could proceed in the light of that. More than anything else the whole experience was empowering. Thank you team Newson Clinic! ♥️

The ongoing service and help I have received from Newson Health has been outstanding. Every team member I have contacted has treated me with understanding, kindness, respect and upmost professionalism. I can't praise Newson Health highly enough. They provide an invaluable, life changing, (possibly even life saving) service that I wish all women had access to. I am so grateful to be fortunate enough to be able to work with Newson Health and their wonderful team.

I went into this appointment having submitted detailed written information in advance about my symptoms, cycle history, and HRT regimen, hoping for a focused consultation and a clear plan. Unfortunately, what I received afterwards was a generic letter covering general HRT and menstrual migraine information, with little reference to the specific points I'd raised. This was followed by around seven separate emails containing various leaflets and pamphlets, none of which felt tailored to my situation. Rather than clear, individualised guidance, it felt like being handed a stack of general information to sort through myself. For a private consultation, I expected a concrete plan and direct answers, not a volume of generic material. I won't be returning.
