My baby arrived 2.5 weeks early and the night nanny I had arranged months earlier was not able to help me due to a family emergency. We called Night Nannies and within a few hours we had a few options. The process with them was very smooth throughout the five months.

Irene K came to help the night that I came back from the hospital. Her help was absolutely invaluable. I thought I would need her maybe for 6-8 weeks; she ended up working with me until my son was 5 months, from January-June 2026. Her support and expertise for those early months put me and my son on such a good footing; we are both calm, relaxed, happy, well-bonded, and in a good routine.

As a solo parent, without a mum or sisters around, I needed practical support overnight as well as advice and confidence-building. Irene did part of the jobs that they would have done.

Irene worked 9pm-7am Monday night-Thursday night. (For the first 3 months I had someone else help on Friday and Saturday nights and did Sunday nights alone). She was in the living room with the baby in a Moses basket, while I slept in my bedroom. Irene helped me with breastfeeding, then burped the baby and put him down to sleep. Once he was asleep she washed the bottles, did any bits of washing up, got the kitchen clean and tidy for me, put baby's laundry on and dried and folded it overnight.

Irene had the knowledge and experience to advise when to change things; at one point I needed to sleep better so I expressed overnight and she gave him the bottle of expressed milk. She knew when he was ready for a bigger teat, when to increase the amounts we were feeding. She showed me how to top and tail him, explained when to pick him up and when to leave him singing or playing. In months 4 and 5 as our needs were changing she wrote a routine which I have continued to use and find invaluable.

I picked up a lot of small tips from watching how she did things. When I met up with my antenatal class friends it was obvious that I was much more relaxed and confident than them, largely thanks to having Irene's support and expertise.

Irene was really a pleasure to work with and have around. She is understated, calm, and easy to have around. Always impeccably punctual and good at communicating if she was held up and going to be late. She looked after my son absolutely beautifully, showing him care, patience, love. I trust her entirely, would immediately use her and Night Nannies again, and wholeheartedly recommend Night Nannies. It was expensive but 100% worthwhile - I got good sleep, was supported in breastfeeding and transitioning to formula, was calm, wasn't overwhelmed by laundry and bottle cleaning, and my son is relaxed, settles himself, and in a pretty good routine.

We had a couple of nannies from Night Nannies and both were incredible. We absolutely loved having the support and respite that is so needed in those early months. They were so lovely to have in our home, and gave us a lot of reassurance and amazing support. Our baby had reflux and gave us great ideas on how to handle him (from 2 to 5 months). I would definitely recommend Night Nannies for a regular or even one off service. Treat yourself to some well earned sleep!

We cannot recommend Night Nannies Agency and our wonderful night nanny, Charise, highly enough. She has been with our family almost from the day our baby was born until 14 months of age, and we are so grateful for her care and support.

We've had an excellent experience using Night Nannies. They quickly provided us with three highly relevant profiles for our specific needs - newborn twins! We interviewed two of them who both seemed excellent and within a week we had booked a night nanny. Our night nanny was just superb, she immediately put us at ease, took great care of our twins and allowed us to get some much needed sleep! We thought we'd use her for 2 weeks but it ended up being 2 months. I would highly recommend using Night Nannies if you want to find the best nanny for what you're looking for.

Firstly I would like to say how professional Charise was. We were incredibly nervous to essentially have a stranger in our homes let alone look after our newborn, but Charise immediately put us at ease.
We weren’t looking for to ingrain a sleep routine at this stage as our baby was so young, but to have some help so as we could get some sleep and be better parents for both the baby and our 3 year old, however Charise absolutely helped install some better habits - without “starving” or depriving our baby. Her love for babies and children is truly evident in her work and we wish we could have had her for longer!

From the moment she walked in she filled me with confidence, she basically took over, recognized things about my baby I didnt even know (she wanted a comfort blanket and burping apparently, which proved true and I had no idea), managed to get her to sleep well, took her on outings and was so sweet with her. By the second day my baby was smiling as soon as she saw her, it was amazing.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Night Nannies! They were able to find us a wonderful nannie who was with us when my partner and the kids had to unexpectedly come to the states while I was caring for my father before he passed away. She was so compassionate and understanding of our situation. It was a very emotional time and she was a wonderful support for my family. She was so flexible with our needs and really went above and beyond.

I contacted night nannys after my second baby turned out not to be the best sleeper. Four months of broken sleep (and a busy toddler!) had left me on my knees with anxiety and insomnia. I needed help! A friend recommended the agency and when I spoke with Anastasia she was so kind and helpful and instead of providing me with a night nanny, she instead gave me expert advice on what my baby might need - a shorter term hire who would sort the problem of my daughter’s sleep permanently. She gave me my Guardian Angel - Vera Valtcheva.

Vera joined us for four days to fix my daughter’s schedule. From day one I could have cried for joy. She got her from sleeping in our Snoo cot by my bed to sleeping in her own cot in her own room. After careful and expert observation of my little girl’s personality and development, Vera implemented a plan for her that meant she went from waking every two hours from 1am and using me as a human dummy to sleeping on her own and self-settling in her cot after two days. Vera brought the joy back in to our home by helping my little girl and getting me some more sleep. After day one my husband and I enjoyed cooking together and a whole evening together again for the first time in four months. She is with us until the end of the week and I don’t want her to go! She also teaches you how to enjoy the amazing time with your baby, giving you tips on toys and interactive play to help their development which in turn helps their sleep. But has the beautiful side effect of giving back to you the joy of a new baby - as the fog of tiredness clears and you can enjoy the glow of new motherhood confident you are doing the right thing for your child. No more insomnia for me! And looking forward to 8 hours unbroken sleep in the future!
