I think everyone who goes to Nord says the same, great service in advance with bookings and support, fantastic service once there and obviously fantastic clinical work too. Cannot fault them at all, all clear and everything organised and taken care of. Spoke to many people while there (great camaraderie with other patients supporting others at different stages) and many had used private or nhs for previous procedures and neither match or got close to Nord. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Suggest anyone thinking of using them and needing reassurance or just any questions go to the Facebook support page. Only patients on there and great advice etc given.

I can't recommend the Nordorthopaedics Clinic highly enough. The whole organisation works so efficiently. The agents take you through the booking process, providing all the information you need to help make your decision and ensure you know what to expect right down to what to take into the hospital with you, and will answer any questions you have. The hospital staff are all caring and attentive and the surgeon so reassuring. The physio staff work you hard, but give you the confidence to ensure you make the most of your rehab while you are there and when you get home. The logistics team who transport you to and from your appointments and rehab sessions are very patient and caring. Three weeks after hip surgery I was walking without sticks and am already enjoying activities I hadn't been able to do for the last two years.

I had arthroscopy surgery in the summer at Nord to address significant arthritis in my right knee, and although the consultant had advised beforehand that it may well not work, I was not then quite ready to have a full knee replacement. After a couple of months, however, I was struggling even more with steps and slopes and realised that a TKR was needed.

Having submitted a further x-ray (Nord had previously seen an MRI), I had the operation booked for early October. The care and professionalism shown at this outstanding clinic is second to none. Special thanks to the amazing logistics team who organise transport throughout your stay, the kind nursing staff whilst in the clinic, and to Laimonas for the invaluable physio days post surgery. Also to Neringa for all her advice and support in the weeks before surgery

I had two femoral osteotomies at Nordorthopaedics and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, friendly, and supportive. They picked me up at the airport, helped arrange my hotel, and provided transport to and from every appointment in Kaunas. The surgeries were expertly performed, and I’m thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Nordorthopaedics to anyone considering treatment there.

ive recently had a hip replacement and found the whole experience very straight forward, they did everything other than book flights and accommodation.
I must say how super helpful their liazone officer Agne' was, so helpful and answered every question i had with slight humour and intelligence which made the trip such an easyexperience to book ! god willing i have no other Orthopaedic procedures to undergo ! but would not hesatate in using Nordopaedics again .
PS the operating theater was very modern and of course spotless !!!

Well, I am home, and very pleased with my left hip replacement that I had done at thr wonderful Nordorthopaedics Clinic, no pain as such just some discomfort at the surgical site. Im a bit stiff and sore due to travelling and a late evening flight home.
Making a decision to go abroad for surgery was not the easiest thing i have done but with hours of research Nords kept conimg out on top from cost to care, and
my experience with Nords has been exemplary. From my first contact with the wonderful Agne Celkaite at customer service, who has gone beyond all expectations to offer an excellent service, even getting a copy of my usb to me via a Nord logistics driver as the original one had corrupted, the usb contained my before and after x-rays. All the Nords logistics staff are so helpful and polite, nothing is to much trouble and always on time, from pickup and drop of at airport to every clinic and physio appointment. The staff at the clinic are caring and I got to meet and speak with my surgeon the wonderful and accomplished Professor Sarunas Tarasevivius, before and after my surgery, he talked me through the process and put me at ease. The anesthetist also came to visit to explain what would happen with spinal block and sedation. This makes a vast difference to patients mindset going into surgery. I was up and walking as soon as the feeling was back in my
legs and the progress from that point has been amazing, the pain I was in before surgery was gone and in its place was some little discomfort at the surgical site. The pain control at the clinic was wonderful but five days in I was just taking paracetamol. Even after all the research my recovery so far has been beyond my expectations.
We arrived a few days before my surgery to have a look around, and stayed at the Kaunas Hotel which
is in a prime position on the boulevard and was organised by Agne. Would visit Kaunas again? Indeed I would as it has a wonderful laid back vibe. I decided I would do my rehab at UPA, which as a rehab facility is
excellent with care second to
none. I enjoyed my time there even physio.
Overall my experience was positive and we enjoyed Lithuania. If I had to have another joint replacement Nords would be the top of my list. Anyone who is considering going to Nords, do it, you will not regret it, and you will be in excellent hands from first contact to being dropped of at the airport for your return home.

Firstly everything you will read from other reviews about the efficiency; professionalism about Nord is to be believed. After I emailed my x ray's, and approx date of surgery I was looking at, I was emailed with two options of surgery dates and what choices I might have for where I wanted to stay. All I had to do to secure all of this was book my air flights , send flight details and all transport/bookings etc was taken care of. It really was that easy, and everything was arranged. Payment for all of this was only made when I stayed at the actual hotel, and for Nord the day before the OP. The price, or options Nord will give you is what you pay, there is no hidden extras or charges.
I stayed 2 nights at the clinic post surgery, care was fantastic from obviously the surgeon, the skilled anaesthetist and very caring nurses. I cannot fault my experience and hip replacement surgery that had done.

A TEAM of highly skilled and experienced Professionals in every respect.
From transport logistics, Admin support / reception / surgery / physio / accommodation / facilities a truly first class facility.
I met several international people all of whom held the similar view. All highly complimentary and making good recoveries consistent with the specific operational procedure (knees / hips )
I never thought I would be riding a static bicycle 1 day after THR surgery but that is a normal part of their excellent rehab!

I saw one lady 6 years in a wheelchair who was walking with only 1 crutch a few days after surgery. (Quite emotional time for the Lady)

I travelled all the way from Ireland to have meniscus repair treatment. From the very start of the process to the end, All the staff and services have been amazing. If I could I’d give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent communication.professional from start to finish. The clinic and all their staff were outstanding and the FB group is reassuring as I thought it was too good to be true. I’ve had 2 procedures done and I have my life back. Cannot thank Nord enough!

Fantastic experience start to finish. Ange organised everything except flights all the Nord staff friendly and have calming vibes especially surgeon and anaesthetist. UPA spa was great food staff and treatments with medical staff on sight. Would go back again for second hip rather than swallow painkillers poisoning my body waiting for NHS with no aftercare just kicked out within 36 hours

Having a new lease lease of life,looking forward to playing Pickleblall again.I was in pain and couldn’t play pickleball or even go shopping.my husband did the searches to find the best/cost affected clinic was Nordorthopaedics, and then to get me over my fear of surgery abroad,He kept saying you can’t wait2and a half years.So glad I had I done.Judith Horton.

My experience with Nordorthopaedics has been absolutely first class from start to finish.

Pre-operative organisation was outstanding. Agne, my pre-op contact, kept me fully informed every step of the way and explained the process clearly and patiently. She even managed to bring my surgery date forward, which I greatly appreciated.

Dr Loiba, my surgeon, was exceptional. Before I committed to surgery (ACL reconstruction with meniscus repair and resection), I had a detailed video consultation with him. He was completely honest about the level of work I would need to put into my rehabilitation at my age (62), but he gave me great confidence that a good outcome was achievable if I followed the programme diligently. His advice on using a continuous passive motion (CPM) machine for 4–6 hours per day to avoid a permanently stiff knee, was something not even mentioned by the two consultants I saw in the UK.

The experience in Lithuania was simply excellent. Every aspect — from the organisation and surgical scheduling to the aftercare and physiotherapy — ran like clockwork. The clinic was scrupulously clean, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and even on the day of surgery I received cryotherapy at 11 pm to support my recovery.

I had five days of post-operative physiotherapy, which was extremely beneficial and perfectly timed. I only needed painkillers for three days after surgery, and as I write this two weeks post-op, my recovery has been remarkable. I can already fully straighten my leg (which is key to avoiding a lifelong limp), I’m pain-free, and although I have four more weeks on crutches, I’m making excellent progress.

I cannot thank the entire Nordorthopaedics team enough — and I will always be especially grateful to Dr Loiba for his skill, honesty, and care. They exceeded my expectations in every way.

From initial email to drop off at Kaunas airport the experience was superb. Everything is dealt with from transportation to physio.

The professionalism and care I received was in my opinion far better than that which is provided by the NHS.

I’ve worked in the NHS for 35 yrs as a clinician , paid my way. When I needed help with my hip I was told use a walking stick and pain killers, I’m 56 years old!!! Even my employers didn’t care very much. So I paid for a Second opinion privately in Uk, was told hip joint is bone on bone will only get worse and a hip replacement is needed. Cost £23K!!! Physio not included, transport not included.

Nord clinic in Lithuania was used by the NHS when the Uk was in the EU and the NHS would pay Nord for the operation. This is how I knew about Nord and how good it was. Nord clinic run a seamless service, everything runs smoothly, excellent customer service and English speaking staff. They are friendly and have a great attitude towards customers. Physio was very thorough and friendly. The whole experience was worth the travelling and cost. Everything is catered for, I travelled as a single woman alone and cannot fault the whole experience. I was scared and was worried about everything, but from the very first email to to being dropped home after the operation and physio I was happy and had nothing th fear, the experience was faultless.
I will be going back sir my other hip in the near future. Amazing , professional service from start to finish.

Shame on the NHS for being such an incompetent organisation.

I cannot fault a single second of the Nord service, care, physio, logistics, and of course the surgery itself. I am a 40 yo mum of 2 who fully ruptured my acl and tore my medial and lateral meniscus. After being fobbed off for months on the nhs and then told the wait list for surgery was 18 months i decided to take matters into my own hands. I researched alternatives since private uk cost was quoted £12600 for same nhs surgeon. I found Nord Orthopaedics and had seen some good mention of the aesthetics services in my diet group. From first contact to transfer home I received nothing short of 5 star service. I did have a private mri scan to send to clinic for surgery approval. You can get bloods and ecg done in the uk before arrival to ensure a clear bill of health before spending money but i just did mine on arrival as was short on time. Every step of the way i felt at ease and confident in the surgeons ability. I met lots of knee and hip replacement patients from the uk and canada all happy with the service. They will help with hotels and transfers. Plus to and from physio. My surgery cost £3000. Physio is extra but you'd get none post op in the uk anyway. Deffo do the daily physio rehab sessions its a must! Post op summery and discharge letter provided plus xray images. Im back on the nhs physio pathway awaiting appointment and am having stitches out with the GP nurse next week. Book the surgery! You will not regret it! Thanks to my Surgeon Arnoldas, Care Nurse, Physio team and Agne for looking after me throughout.

I’m 37 and had been living with patellofemoral arthritis in my left knee for 7 years, experiencing sharp pain when squatting, climbing stairs, and walking down steps. My left leg had also weakened significantly as my right leg overcompensated. I originally sought a total knee replacement, but Nordorthopaedics recommended a knee arthroscopy with lateral release, which has already made a huge difference.

Three weeks post-surgery, my range of motion is improving, the shooting pains are gone, and my left leg muscles are reactivating and strengthening. The clinic’s team — especially Neringa and Agnė — provided exceptional support, including airport pickups and daily transport to physiotherapy. Their honesty, expertise, and patient-centred care have made my recovery smooth and encouraging. Highly recommended!
