Van repaired with no appointment
Arrived at Northgate Exeter undeclared, my van was showing an engine fault and beeping away. I was seen to straight away, with no appointment.
The engineer looked at the van explained what he thought could be the problem. The van was repaired and I was back on the road within the hour! They carried out a health check on the van while it was here for peace of mind. Fantastic service!

As it says “Customer First”
Walked into the Northgate site in Exeter to drop my van in due to a mishap in a car park. I was served by both Sarah and Gordon who were absolutely fantastic. Gordon made sure I was satisfied with the condition of the car and went through everything, step-by-step Sarah, then dealt with the paperwork side of things and I was in and out within 20 minutes I’m back on the road again. I dropped it back today and again we serve by Sarah and Gordon and even the branch manager Mr Ali. It seems to be a great team who will work together. I will definitely come back there again, if I’m needing anything else.

We are an SME based in Bath and lease a number of vans from Northgate. Today Graham Hunt, a Northgate Engineer, attended our Hallatrow Yard to carry out a vehicle service. He did this very promptly and professionallly. While on site we asked if he could help diagnose an issue with another van, which he was more than happy to do. he found the issue very quickly and advised us on how to mange this going forward. A real credit to his company!

Absolutely terrible experience
We took 2 vehicles on a 12 month flexi contract after being told by the salesman Tim Emptage that we would be able to off hire at any time if times got tough and just pay the small difference in hire charge.
After being charge £1000s in damage charges by the Exeter branch without any authorisation ( and with most of the damage being on the vehicle before given to us) we made the choice to off hire one of the vehicles before they bankrupt us in extortionate charges they then went on to try and charge us over £4000 to cover the rest of the 12 months rent on the vehicle. They told us the only way we wouldn’t have to pay is if we took the vehicle back.
The salesman then went on to denied telling all the lies he did to get us to sign up to the 12 month deal and acted like he done me a favour forcing me back into the deal.
This is just one example of poor services from northgate after reading over reviews if customer service would like me to call to resolve these issues I have already raised multiple complaints and contacted many times to no resolve so don’t waste my time

We are really sorry to hear that you feel this way. I do believe you have a case raised on QMS252874, which relates to the damage that you are disputing. All investigations concluded that the vehicle was returned to us with damage which was not present when the hire commenced, and images were provided to confirm this. If you do believe this to be untrue, I can review this case for you once more.
With regards to the comments made surrounding the set up of your account, I dont see that we have anything on our system regarding this, and I am more than happy to raise this as a new complaint for you.

Great support with MOTs
We have had to MOT a vast number of vehicles over the last 2 months. This needed to be done with little disruption to our production as possible. The Exeter branch have been amazing in their support and making the process as easy as possible, despite all our problems. Thankyou to all the staff for the quick and painless process.
