We recently lost our beloved Charlie, and I can’t express how grateful we are for the care and compassion shown by everyone at this pet crematorium.

They offer a service that allows you to plan everything well in advance, so nothing is left to the last minute. The grounds and chapel are surprisingly peaceful and tranquil — a truly comforting setting for such a difficult time.

We chose to spend some time with Charlie before the cremation, and the way he was laid out was so beautiful. He looked so handsome and peaceful, and the display was done with great taste and respect. The farewell room felt calm and dignified — a space that allowed us to remember Charlie in the most loving way possible.

Even the smallest details were handled with such care: they offered locks of his hair, and when we came to collect his ashes, the setting was arranged with the same reverence as a chapel.

You can tell that the owners and staff genuinely care — not only about the animals entrusted to them but also about the people who love them. Their attention to detail and compassion made an incredibly difficult time a little more bearable.

They truly deserve the highest praise for the kindness, dignity, and respect they bring to what they do.

Tragically we lost our beloved dog, Oscar. We took him to Antara for them to look after him, this is the 3rd time they have been there for us. The service and love ❤️ they give is absolutely second to none. Thank you Rita, Simon and John for helping to mend our broken hearts.

Personal service. Pets treated so well. Individual cremation. Have used them for over 20 years. Lovely couple and very caring. We travel over 60 miles from our home on the coast and are happy to continue. We trust John and Rita implicitly.

Simon at Antara looked after both of our dogs. Finlay in May and Briah this month (October). He is so passionate about what he does and he is so kind and caring. I definitely recommend Antara when it's time to say goodbye to your beloved fur baby.

When we lost our little boy 🐶 Gizmo, we were offered a cremation service with Greenacres by the vets. Whilst I am sure they are fine I noticed that they do a weekly collection of pets in a van that is then taken to Scunthorpe for cremation and returned to Nottingham. Wanting a much better care package we contacted Simon at Nottingham Pet Crematory and he was amazing. He picked Gizmo up same day and within 3 days we had him home after cremation with some beautiful paw 🐾 prints and locks of his hair. He was so caring and I would 100% recommend using them when the sad time comes for your pet.

I’d give 6 stars if I could. Rita managed to get us in the same day and we picked up the ashes the next day.
Simon could not have been more compassionate,caring, attentive and professional. The service he gave was outstanding. Attention to detail and those special little touches made an experience I expected to be completely harrowing, beautiful and peaceful - for which I thank him with all my heart.

We have known John and Rita the owners for over 25 years. We got to meet their manager Simon some 5 1/2 years ago when our beloved Labradoodle Hamish passed. 2 years later we lost our Cavapoo, Ralph, in a tragic accident and again availed ourselves of their service.

We now live two hours away, however when yesterday we had to make the decision about our big daft Golden Doodle Bertie that every pet owner dreads our first call was to Rita.

The service was exceptional on the first two occasions and this time was no different. We had an appointment at 9.15 am this morning when we were greeted by Simon in their new, serene welcoming area. Simon had a painted hand cart that he graciously transferred Bertie from the back of our car onto. His compassion and genuine sympathy was bountiful. We know that he was with Bertie, as much as is possible in this situation, throughout and 3 hours later he was handing over the ashes in a picture frame casket as we have had before. We drew a major comfort from knowing who was looking over our boy whilst we were absent. It was also comforting to know that Bertie was the only animal being dealt with throughout his time there.

In an age of large corporate organisations it is a genuine relief to find that this type of personal and compassionate service is readily available and we would urge anyone who finds themselves in this most horrible of situations to call these guy’s up and avail themselves of their services. Bertie is now not only over the rainbow bridge with his two brothers but he is also at home with them where we can see them everyday and have whatever tender moments we need to get through this.

It’s been a couple of months since we used Antara for the first time for our beautiful boy Buster. The team were amazing and the service was outstanding from my very first phone call. The setting is lovely, prices clearly explained (which are reasonable and comparable with what vets charge) and when we turned up we were welcomed with open arms and so much love and respect for our boy. I wanted a imprint of my dogs nose and as this didn’t really work in the clay, the team kindly did a paint print of it. This was totally unexpected and a lovely surprise when I went to fetch his ashes. I will ALWAYS use Antara from now on and recommend to friends.

Professionally run and for me the process was made perfectly easy by the staff at Antara.

Even though I picked up my pets ashes during lockdown they still made the experience a nicer one with the outdoor set up, very lovely done.

Always a pleasure to see Rita and Simon under not so pleasant circumstances. I’ve been using Antara for many years and taken several dogs here over the years. You couldn’t wish for a better send off for your pet, so professional and caring.
Simon is an angel, not sure it would be the same if you ever left (please don’t or I’ll come and stalk you).
They bend over backwards to make a sad occasion as memorable as possible for you with hopefully sweet memories to take home with you.
My crems are always ‘same day’ and are always done quickly and professionally. Rita got me in within 24 hours and replied to an email on a Sunday.
I would recommend Antara to anyone wanting the best send off for their pet.
