NSB = No Shame Bank

I have been a loyal customer with this institution for over 20+ years and even paid off a mortgage. My whole family has been banking with them since 1969.

Unfortunately, I have fallen on hard times, like many people these days, and instead of trying to help me, they charged me multiple Overdraft Fees and even after they got their money, they rejected the transfers to pay my bills.

I have been in contact with them, begging for leniency but they don’t care. I got a cookie cutter template in response. There is no compassion at all.

Unfortunately my husband had similar difficulties with his Chase account and do you know what they did? They reversed the fees and wished us better circumstances. We were honest with them and explained our situation, and they were kind enough to listen and help. I thought I never wanted to deal with a big bank but their team of employees is kind and understanding. I highly recommend going there over Nevada State Bank or any Zions institution. They don’t care about you!

This isn’t even the first terrible experience we’ve had with them, they’ve sent my husband and I in circles just trying to get new Visa Debit Cards. We call and they tell us to go in, we take time off work to go in and they tell us we have to call. We didn’t go to some grocery store branch, we went to their own, independent bank. We got tired of dealing with them, expecting new cards upon expiration of the old and never even received those.

I cannot wait to be done with this nonsense.

DO NOT USE NEVADA STATE BANK'S VISA

It is hard to believe that this company notifies customers BY MAIL if they suspect fraud and stop the usage of the card. Not phone, not text, BUT MAIL!! Then they go to replace the card and send it BY MAIL....not overnight, not 2 day...it has been 18 days without a card. Their customer service dept is useless.

Disrespectful and unprofessional

This bank has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Constant fraudulent activity on my accounts and their hours are absolutely ridiculous, closed by 5 and never open on weekends either. When I lived in California I used a credit union very small, very responsible and professional; I miss them. At Nevada State Bank the customer service employees are some of the most rude and disrespectful people I've ever had to speak with. When I explained my issue to the customer service agent she asked me "are you done?" Before I was even finish speaking. And when I asked to speak to supervisor I was met with the same disgusting attitude. Don't bank at Nevada State bank, they will treat you like scum. I also fallow every detailed step on how to use my checking and savings account properly and I still get hit with fees. Last month they took $20 away from me out of my SAVINGS because I had to do one extra transfer in my own account from my app on my own phone to pay for my groceries.
This is not a family-friendly company or if you're making low income they will treat you like your low income.

Extremely Disappointed with Nevada State Bank's Lack of Understanding and Cooperation

Our experience with Nevada State Bank (NSB) has been frustrating and disappointing. We began the process of opening a business account, providing all the necessary licenses from both Nevada State and local authorities. Despite complying with all requirements, NSB refused to open our account, claiming that we needed a mortgage license—something that, ironically, we cannot obtain without first having a business account.

After months of back-and-forth and escalating the issue to management, we provided proof from the Mortgage Lending Division (MLD) that we were authorized to open the account. Still, NSB remained uncooperative. It's worth noting that the MLD even had to make an exception to avoid abandoning our mortgage license application due to NSB's refusal to open the account in a timely manner. This entire process was not only a waste of time but also a financial burden.

Ultimately, we took our business to Bank of America and were able to open an account within an hour, with no issues or unnecessary delays. NSB's policies are clearly out of sync with what the Nevada State Lending Division requires, and they should work more closely with local authorities to avoid putting businesses in such precarious positions in the future.

As a result, NSB not only lost our business but also our respect. Their actions nearly caused us to lose our licensing, significantly delayed our ability to open shop, and cost us financially. I would strongly advise others in the mortgage industry to seek banking services elsewhere.

Is the whole bank garbage, or just the Summerlin branch?

I can't figure out if the whole bank is garbage or just this branch. Maybe both.
The website doesn't work.
The mobile app doesn't work.
The call center can't do anything. Go into a branch.
Made the mistake of going into the Summerlin branch as it is closest to me. Nope. Can't help you.
Went to the Lakes branch on Sahara, and, oh, surprise, they can help me.
What the actual??
How many branches does one need to visit in one day to get help with a simple transaction? Two. The answer is two.
I mean, they're not Wells Fargo, so I suppose there's that.
