Terrible returns set up. I've had several email exchanges with customer services about returning the smaller if two pairs I bought.
No returns label in box. Because I appear to have purchased from their US site (even though prices in ££) the 'returns portal' requires an order reference number I haven't got on any email or paperwork and which cs are unable or unwilling to help with.
Having read other reviews about how long it all takes for refund I'm tempted to give up - which I presume is what NYDJ want. Disgusting contempt for customers. Avoid!
Very poor returns service
Very poor returns service. Have been waiting 3 weeks and NYDJ claim they have not received the items posted through their courier service (EVRI). It a shame as the jeans are great but their customer service is rubbish.
Lovely jeans
I love these jeans, they fit so beautifully and the denim is a lovely quality. Have had lots of compliments.
Stay away
Ordered several pairs. Too big and now trying to get a refund. They say I need to have more than the email they used to send me confirmation, order number zip code. Not sure what else they want other than to KEEP MY MONEY. STAY CLEAR!!
Avoid stress - just don’t buy from them
Reading these reviews has now got me worried. Returned £600 worth of jeans and despite website saying confirmation of receipt at warehouse within a week, it’s now over 3 weeks and nothing. They have removed their customer service number and ask you to email them, no response to emails. I’ve had great service from them back in 2023/24 but now I’m thinking I’m not going to see my refund. Avoid like the plague if you want to avoid any stress. Thankfully I paid by credit card so I’m off to raise a complaint with them. I’m in the UK and ordered on the UK/EU site.
Update 3 March
A week after I emailed them to complain I received a reply. I had to send my Evri tracking details and confirmation of what I’d returned. A few back and forth emails and then another full week of nothing. I emailed again asking for an update and my refund asap or I would start the charge back process. So today I received confirmation my refund would be in my account within 10 days. No explanation as to what/why the delay was, but without my chasing I’m not sure I would heard from them ever. Interestingly my tracking proves Evri collected the parcel on 26 Jan for delivery back to them but then nothing, it says to contact the seller first more info, so it may have been an Evri issue but I’ll never know.
Still waiting for a refund - for over two months!
I returned a £100 pair of jeans, because they were too big and I have not received a refund. They don't answer the Custmer Services phone line, or respond to my many emails.
It's a pity because I like their product but this is not good business practice.

I would give this company no stars if I could. It is a famous brand so didn’t read reviews. I returned jeans on 13 January. Emailed them twice and messaged via website and no replies at all!! No refund and am owed nearly £100, just under the threshold to make a credit card claim.

Quick to take your money and despatch. The sizing is so off so I had to return the items. No update from customer service despite my emails, phone line doesn't work, no response over social media. It's now over a month. Day light robbery - avoid at all costs!!!
Customer Service is appalling
Customer Service is appalling. I returned a pair of jeans on 16th Jan and have confirmation from the courier that it was received on 24th Jan. I’ve had no confirmation that the item was received or that the return /refund is being processed. I’ve tried to call but the contact number listed on the website is an incorrect number. I’ve completed the contact form twice and sent two emails but no response. I would say that this seems to be a problem that has occurred in the last few weeks. I contacted their customer service team about another matter on 11th Jan and got a very helpful reply the following day, so I was expecting a better response. I love NYDJ jeans and have used this website multiple times over the last 5 years with no previous issues. I’m sorry to see this go so very wrong.
Took money, not received, no response
I echo some of the comments below, they have taken my money and have not dispatched my order. Phone numbers don't work and they have failed to respond to multiple methods of emails and contact. I will now have to complain to my Mastercard company in order to get my money back.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Returned two pairs of jeans at the end of December 2025 a month later still no refund. Phone numbers for Uk and Netherlands are unobtainable and now no reply to e mails either. Great product but my advice is DO NOT order directly from the company in case you need a refund. I will NEVER buy from them again.
Returned jeans on the 1st January
Returned jeans on the 1st January. Parcel not arrived at NYDJ so I now have a further 10 working days wait while they investigate. A 5 week wait to see if I get refunded? Only wish I read reviews before I ordered, I won’t be shopping with them again it’s appalling service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I wish I had seen these reviews before I made the purchase of one pair of jeans. Over two weeks have passed with no item received. They have responded to my email queries saying that they will supply me with a tracking number. They claim the item is dispatched. Days later still no tracking number supplied.
Either they are a shambolic company or it is some form of scam.
They should be avoided as it is likely that an unacceptable amount of customers will experience a problem.
There are two sites. One I noted had customer reviews which I felt were not genuine.
An update on NYDJ
I used the USA website. Both the Netherlands and USA have serious problems with treatment of customers.
I never received the jeans, numerous excuses.
A month has passed and I emailed them.
They claimed the jeans were stuck in transit, this worked in my favour!
I told them I required a refund as is my legal right after 30 days.
They still tried to offer a replacement or a store credit.
I stuck to my rights and repeated my request. They sent a reply within in 10 mins saying they were processing a refund.
PayPal have informed me that the refund should be with me by Feb 5th.
There has to be a cash flow problem or just dishonest practice with this company.
I shall be very careful in the future when I shop online.
Refund process dreadful
Ordered 2 items - one was fine, the other too small, despite being the same size. I posted the items back using their pre-paid shipping label on 12 December. I received no correspondance from NYDJ, so chased up on 2 Jan (understanding the Christmas period can be busy). The customer service rep requested details of the item (despite having provided my order number) along with proof of postage. It then took several days to be told this had been "passed on" to their "internal team". 9 days after providing the requested information and 30 days after posting the return, I have still received no confirmation that the £120 refund will be processed. A disappointing experience with what I had expected to be a professional company.
Be Careful - but wonderful
Be aware when ordering that you are on the NYDJ UK site! 😂 Like so many others have said in their reviews; it's really easy to end up on the US version. It took nearly a month for my jeans to be delivered, but delivery was free & I had a good price in the black Friday sale. Bloody hell the jeans were worth the wait. They fit to perfection & are gorgeous. Absolutely delighted with them. I hope to be able to treat myself to another pair one day. I got the Marilyn straight legs, black with embroidery. The quality is beautiful & the jeans are flattering & very comfortable. The embroidery is subtle & elevates the jeans into something really special..

Impossible to get a refund
I returned my jeans over two weeks ago and STILL no refund! I have emailed customer service numerous times. They replied a refund in 14 working days, which is not acceptable, it’s now past this and still no refund
Worn NYDJ jeans for years but…
Worn NYDJ jeans for years but the latest pair is very disappointing. Fabric is inferior, feels cheap, is too stretchy and has no "body". Previous pairs had 98% cotton & 2% elastane, this pair has 91% cotton, 2% elastane and 7% "elastomultiester" whatever that is. NYDJ used to be "proudly made in the USA". Since they started to outsource manufacturing to other countries the quality and fit have plummetted. Sadly this has all the signs of a good business sold to investment companies who prioritise short-term profit over quality and attention to customer service. Can't see it being around much longer given the quality issue and the shockingly poor customer interface referred to in so many reviews. Returning mine - luckily I purchased through QVC so not anticipating problems.
