These people are liars.

They quoted me $450 to ship the car from New York to Ann Arbor and told me that this quote includes their fee of $150 (i was required to pay the fee when I signed the contract). When I received the contract, it said that the price may change. I asked the customer service agent if that happens often and if it does how much can the price change. They said it doesn't happen often and the price can move up to 20% which was fine with me.

On the day of transport I got a message from them that the price to ship is now $900 and it does NOT include the fee. I asked for a refund of the service fee and was told that they will call me back - they never did.

At that point it was too late to cancel and find another shipper and I ended up paying $1,050 (almost 2.5x more than the original quote).

The driver was good and the car was delivered on time but the experience with Ortus was AWFUL.

Stay away from this company as much as you can. They almost ruined our vacation. Our group made a deposit for them to move our motorcycles and we had a terrible experience.
Before the deposit was made all the answers to messages and texts were received within seconds. After the deposit was made however, they seemed to vanish from the face of the earth and multiple emails and phone calls were needed to get the same standard answer: Someone from the logistics team will get in touch with you shortly. Few more days later, more follow up and the same answer.
We got to a point that we just gave up and hired another company with a much more professional attitude.
Refunding of the deposit, good luck! After a very long battle and threatening to filing a police report they agreed to refund 60% of the amount saying that this is their policy and the agreement signed, which may be true but one would not imagine that this can be a business model of receiving deposits, not providing the service and keeping 40% of the deposit when the customer walks away.
Again, don't be another victim and don't waste your time with this company.

Warning! Be aware ! This company is a scam! They took an advance payment, then demanded additional money to arrange delivery, and when I refused, they started making up excuses and dragging their feet on the refund.
