Ich habe letztes 2021 bei PADI meinen Enriched Air Diver gemacht. Leider, ich wusste wieso ich meinen AOWD bei SSI gemacht habe.
Da ich meine Reise nach Ägypten plante, fiel mir auf, dass mein Brevet noch gar nicht bei mir angekommen ist. Ich habe also Kontakt mit PADI aufgenommen. Ich habe auch eine Antwo... Entschuldigung, einen Textbaustein bekommen:
"This is exciting news because it allows you to download your eCard immediately, avoids mailing constraint issues which were previously experienced & is more environmentally friendly overall"
Das ist wirklich eine aufregende Neuigkeit. Ich muss also nicht nur die PADI-App installieren, um auch Offline mein Brevet zu haben, ich soll also für meinen bestanden Kurs im Wert von 180,- Euro 59,20 Euro zahlen, um die durchaus bewährte Kunststoffkarte (nennt man bei PADI nun Ersatzkarte) zu bekommen, wenn ich mein Smartphone zum Beispiel nicht auf ein Schlauchboot mitnehmen möchte?
Ich soll zusätzlich 59,20 Euro bezahlen, wenn ich, da wenn Digital, dann alles, auch meinen Open Water Diver in digitaler Form in der App haben möchte?
Danke PADI (Put another Dollar in), das war es endgültig.

Gone thru dive master certification and staring IDC. Great resources and high standards. Some tech issues but nothing unusual for every site and app in existence.
Sounds like 1 star reviews are from people that can’t handle managing their own emails & passwords, don’t understand internet connections & caching, and generally impatient.

I'm supposed to start my PADI open…
I'm supposed to start my PADI open water in 3 day course in 3 days and can't do the e-learning because of their website bugging. When I try to sign it constantly says that my email address is not valid, even though I've just made my account so I know I have the right details. (So it’s somthing wrong with the website not me) I’ve just paid €500 for this course and now I won’t be able to do it and end up paying more at the diving school. This is ridiculous and shouldn’t be a issue for a multi-million pound company

Absolute Trashfire of a company, No information how to buy credits, hours waiting on the phone, passed around from organization to org. I straight-up refuse to teach under PADI anymore, i tell people Ill do recerts under SSI or nothing.
DO NOT CERTIFY UNDER PADI, GO TO SSI! or you will have nothing but problems in the future

Appalling. I’m a PADI Pro for almost 20 years. Yet the site can’t show all my instructor certifications properly. And it’s not intuitive to use. I had to log in about 10 times in a recent session as there is no proper ‘back’ button. Farcical.

Vielen Dank für deine Kontaktaufnahme in Bezug auf dein Brevet. Wir danken dir, dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast uns deine Bedenken hinsichtlich der Kosten eines neuen Brevets mitzuteilen und wir entschuldigen dafür, dass dies einen negativen Eindruck hinterlassen hat.
In Bezug auf die Kosten des Brevets beachte bitte, dass du für den Wert, den die Karte bietet, bezahlst. Die Gebühr beinhaltet Arbeitsaufwand, Versand, Materialien usw. PADI Karten haben kein Verfallsdatum und können unter allen Umständen verwendet werden. Darüber hinaus ist die Preisgestaltung durchaus mit anderen Organisationen vergleichbar.
Es gibt auch alternative Möglichkeiten einen Zertifizierungsnachweis vorzulegen. PADI Tauchschulen können dich im Dive Chek System nachsehen um deine Zertifizierung zu verifizieren.
Für die gleiche Gebühr kannst du auch eine eCard erwerben. Dies würde das Problem beseitigen, dass sich das Brevet mit der Zeit auflöst, aufgrund der Art des Sports kann es zu einer Auflösungserscheinung kommen.
Bitte sag mir Bescheid, falls du noch Fragen haben solltest.

Die Tauchscheine kosten ja auch quasi nichts.

Bin einigermassen geschockt
Bin einigermassen geschockt. Nach dem Abschluss des Open Water Kurses war ich auch ein paar mal überrascht, warum die Übersetzungen im Lernmaterial teilweise falsch oder unvollständig war. Dass aber nach dem Abschluss so eine schlechte „eCard“ - die den Namen gar nicht verdient, bei rum kommt und die normale kleine Plastikkarte, die man von jeder Organisation hinterhergeworfen bekommt, jetzt auch noch Geld kosten soll, und zwar knapp 50€ ist wirklich eine Unverschämtheit. Ich denke, meine weiteren Kurse werde ich auch bei einem anderen Anbieter machen, wenn es hier keine einfache Lösung gibt. Schade, hat eigentlich viel Spaß gemacht.

I bought a bundle aware limited back in…
I bought a bundle aware limited back in March and I received only my e-card. I needed to prove my certificate to a dive center, but I didn’t have my physical card with me. So I order an e-card and another limited card just for the sake of supporting aware. I never received my physical card and even if I contacted them I never got a reply. They are pathetic and I will not continue my dive progress with padi. I do know now why many divers don’t go for padi anymore. Expensive, not supportive at all, cheap website and app. Proper rip off.

I know I'm the 80th person to say this, but it's INSANE to charge $48 for an e-card. The whole, "We gave you a plastic card - buying an e-card is optional" line is complete BS. We have plastic cards because PADI was stuck in the stone ages forever and made us carry plastic cards around with us.
When you started offering e-cards, you should have let everyone upgrade for free.
But PADI doesn't give one ounce of care about happy customers. They just want all the money (which they don't bother using to make a decent app).
Total garbage company.

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your concerns regarding the cost of a new card and apologize for it altering your opinion of our company.
In terms of the cost of the card please keep in mind that you are paying for the value the card offers. The fee includes labor involved, materials, etc. PADI cards never expire and can be used in any condition. Additionally, the pricing is competitive with other scuba organizations and we offer multiple ways of attaining them.
Also, purchasing the eCard/plastic card is optional. PADI dive centers and/or PADI instructors are able to look you up in our Dive Chek system to verify your certification.

Da du ursprünglich eine Plastikkarte für deine Brevetierung erhalten hast und jetzt eine zusätzliche eCard anfragst, ist diese eCard eine optionale Variante und nicht zwingend vorgeschrieben. Wir bieten den Service der eCard für Kunden, die dieses Format bevorzugen. Falls du mehrere Brevetierungen als eCards erwerben möchtest, dann können wir dir gerne zu einem Pauschalpreis dieses anbieten.

I am trying to do my advanced open water using the same iPad I used for my open water. The course loads very slowly, but will not allow me to continue, and often crashes half way through a section test when submitting the answer. I have tried both Chrome and Safari, and the various suggestions to fix the problem. I don’t have a personal computer as I have a work one, but e-learning is blocked. My iPad and phone are all I use and worked fine for the open water course. My course is in a few weeks and I’m clearly worried 🙁

Bad experience with support and card replacement
Honestly, I've had such a time just trying to change my name and replace my card. I legally changed my name and I wanted my card to reflect that. I set up an online account, got my name changed on their records, and went to order a new card. What I didn't realise was that the student records still had my old email address on them, so I was talking to support about how I couldn't log in. Support was honestly useless and it takes a lot to genuinely annoy me. And to rub salt into the wound, I had to pay £40 for a new card, despite the fact it's for a name change and not a lost card. Also, the website is not very friendly. Layout is fine, but it loads slowly so that you click on a button, it'll load more and think you've clicked elsewhere.

i simply had to put 1 star if i could it would be half!!!…utterly useless app absolutely all over the place constantly being asked to login for prosite after i’ve already logged in as a pro???? why is the old extremely outdated old site not been transitioned yet??? 2+ years and still 3 different locations and out dated technology completely unacceptable for pros that have to pay every year!!!!!!….if we don’t pay we are immediately removed, our credit card information is never ever lost and your ability to charge is always on cue without fault yet your web service apps fails constantly and it’s excuse after excuses for 2+ years plus, constantly losing my ecards utterly mind blowing!!!!…please don’t attach a typical “so sorry response” to my comment, it simply adds insult to injury, just do your jobs much more efficiently for the money we pay you!!!…fix this technology issue and build an app platform that matches what you charge with 2022 technology expectations, employ competent technicians !!!!…SSI can do it why can’t you!!!!
